Elden Ring PS5 PS4

The official Twitter account for Elden Ring announced today that FromSoftware's landmark open worlder has sold more than 30 million copies. This is the first sales update for the game since June 2024, when it was confirmed Elden Ring reached 25 million sales. As such, a further five million units have been sold since then.

For publisher Bandai Namco and FromSoftware, the best part is that the game still is not done yet. A Nintendo Switch 2 port is being lined up for the new console's launch day of 5th June 2025, which marks the game's debut on Nintendo platforms. Therefore, it's being opened up to another new audience and guaranteeing a fresh spike in sales.

With an image confirming "30 million Tarnished", the Twitter account also added: "Dearest Tarnished, we are profoundly thankful for your lasting devotion. May your path be forever guided by the Grace of Gold."

When the Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives, the PS5, PS4 editions will also be updated with "new armor, weapons and customization features for Torrent’s appearance". It's not known yet whether this content will be paid for; we contacted Bandai Namco for comment at the time but it was unable to provide confirmation.
