Day one. I know for a fact that the most impressive thing about this game will be its written quests, characters and dialogue.

Nothing beats an NPC turning up at your camp trying to sell you dlc in Dragon Age Origins.

Nearing the end of yet another Baldur's Gate 3 run. I'm stumped on what to play after this though. Maybe Alan Wake 2?

Baldur's Gate 3. I've put another 89 hours into this run so far and looking back at my previous character saves, I've spent almost 500 hours total on this game. I think I like it.

Can we have Cherami Leigh again?

I started it and the nostalgia was strong but I'm deep into other games at the moment. Looking forward to getting stuck in soon.

My favourite game of all time until Cyberpunk 2077 took its crown.

The good old days of walking into my local newsagents and buying a £1.99 cassette game for my Acorn Electron are long over.

I'm just about to murder a Selûnite cleric because my evil blood wills it. This is in Baldur's Gate 3, by the way, I'm not a psychopathic lunatic.

I always remember The Witcher 2's Assassin of King's trailer which is still excellent to this day.

It's a very decent game and it's got Garrus Vakarian in it.

Rock collectors definitely won't be buying this.

They mustn't know that the girls can wear swimsuits in this.

The physics and NPC intelligence in this game were so much better that GTAV's.

I still tease my nephew about the time I caught him getting a lap dance in the strip club in GTAV when it first came out. He's 21 now.

Ghost Recon Wildlands

Dodging, parrying and dice rolling in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Baldur's Gate 3.

I can't bloody wait! First thing that I'm gonna do is just walk around the streets taking in the atmosphere.

For those that come after. 9/10 Terrific game so far. Still in act 2.

I like Statham. He's like the modern day 80/90's action flick star like Schwarzenegger, Snipes, Willis et al. A likeable style of cheese.

The lighting in these shots is exceptional.

Everybody complaining about how it will look when actually playing must have forgotten the seamless transitions from cutscenes to gameplay in RDR2.

This game can be quite dark and moody but it also has some proper funny twisted humour. Love it.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Baldur's Gate 3. Both superb turn based RPGs and both games have Shadowheart in them.

I've got a digital only PS5 so I always opt for the standard edition when buying games day one. Most of the time I wait for a sale, though.

I hope the music composers win so many awards for their music in this game. Absolute quality.

I'm playing this on my Xbox through Game Pass but I'll be definitely buying it on PS5 soon because the Xbox pad can't hold a candle to the DualSense.

I'm not surprised but I'm still a bit gutted.

I only just finished Act 1 yesterday and was literally gobsmacked by its climax. I think this game also has some of the most melodic and beautiful music tracks since NeiR: Automata. For a small dev team, this game is phenomenal.

@themightyant I love that some enemies even make you dodge after killing them by toppling over onto the party.

My 15 hours of Expedition 33 has been more enjoyable that the entirety of FF16.

@Marquez I always choose performance mode on games, it's just my poor reactions when dodging and parrying. I've re-speced my party and put at least 10 points into vitality for each character. So much better now.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. A beautiful looking, beautiful sounding game with an intriguing plot. Loving it despite dieing often.

Baldur's Gate 3. 4th playthrough and it's still just as good.

Yes and it's very decent so far. That beach cutscene was absolutely brilliant and a proper wow moment. I really love the music in this game too, especially the track that plays in the Manor.

Still trying to get the hang of the dodge/parry timing for all of the different enemies.

I'm playing Expedition 33 and it's top notch so far. It's got some great music.

I've put an hour or two into this and already it has its claws in me. Very intriguing and mysterious beginning. I'm getting Lost Odyssey vibes from the turn based combat.

Firing up the Xbox for this.

Alternating between Baldur's Gate 3 and Dragon Quest 8. Two fantastic turn based RPGs for their times.

I've just re-downloaded it for a fourth playthrough. Might play as a Drow again for the extra unique dialogue.

I loved the first one. I remember playing on the hardest difficulty where companions could die permanently and was gutted when Parvati was killed a couple of hours in.

I dug out the old Ninty 3DS for a trip up the country and it had Dragon Quest VIII on it. I'm hooked all over again on this absolute classic.

A fourth playthrough? Oh go on then.
