Just don't have the time for demo's these days. I remember playing the crap out of PS1 and PS2 demo discs, but those days are long past.

Usually just run a demo for a few minutes to see if the performance is fine, especially when considering having compromises for portability on switch.

It's very distasteful to base it on Ebola. It's like they took resident evil 5 (which I don't find as problematic as some would want you to believe) and ask themselves "how can we make this, but insulting!".

Absolutely! Machine games is the only studio under Bethesda that delivers fun games, unlike the rest of Bethesda's blandness.

Megaton Musashi, Inazuma eleven, Professor Layton are all great games and Decapolice looks plenty original to me. People writing L5 off are just overreacting to a nuanced statement.

@SMJ the vita didn't set the world on fire, but it did outsell the N64, GameCube and naturally the Dreamcast in Japan. The vita era were the days analysts were sure mobile games would completely kill traditional video games. As we see now they coexist with interest in handhelds steadily growing.

I got armoured core for 15€ physical and a fair amount of these titles for the same price or cheaper on disc. Digital is seldomly a good deal unless it's under 10€.

I'm confident Sony can position themselves competitively in Japan if the do not fracture the hardware market. Make it a handheld console with an included TV dock. No handheld machine and console as separate devices with mixed compatibility.

😂😂 I was trying to discuss narrative issues this series has had historically, which the new games are leaning back on, but this has practically turned into a Sidney Sweeney jeans ad discussion. Imagine what, I have that opinion about old TR and still love stellar blade, nier and yes tomb raider. There's more between loving or hating something, but that is unfathomable for many.

@nessisonett yeah survival was a bit of a weak attempt to appease these narrative issues, while also creating some new ones in the process. Despite that they were fantastic games. I wouldn't say they removed her sexuality just by making her more grounded and her confidence was in development over the three games.

However, the reboot was more self aware of the tone deafness of the original character and tried to address it and now they're steering back.

The games will probably be fun, but what a backstep in character design. The reboot had it's flaws, especially the side characters were oftentimes annoying, but classic Lara is problematic with her blatant arrogance and colonialist background which the original games never questioned but rather made to her superpower. I guess the current overall climate is once again more permissive of that.

@themightyant agree, it just doesn't mesh. Might as well have no anime aspect about it if you don't go all in. There's this other anime style RPG racer called resistor that looks way more cohesive, but it's gotten awfully quiet around it.

I'm glad they're making these kind of games, despite my old grouchy self getting instantly annoyed by these kids. I think that shepherd dog game with no people in sight is more for me.
