Re: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Adds 'Cheats' on Switch 2, Xbox, But No Mention of PS5

Every single player game should have cheats. I don't have the time to get overly deep in the mechanics of every game or repeatedly play something if I hit a roadblock. Generally don't want roadblocks that ultimately keep me from finishing some games.
FF7 was easy on normal difficulty and I had no problems finishing it, but it would suck for someone to get stuck on the story because of difficulty. For that cheats are completely legitimate, so hats off to Square-Enix for implementing it.

@Whyarewestillhere hope so, but if they're going fully chronological there'd still be portable ops (doubt they'll revisit that), peace walker and mgsV first. I think a remaster of mgsV would suffice, as long as they change that you could do multiple ops on the ground without always having to fly in and out. That's a lot of material before we get to the games that need to be retold..

I also think Konami would probably prioritise mgs1 for popularity sake.

Looks like a good mashup of all single player action adventures of the last 15 years, but I've seen prettier PS4 games albeit at a lower resolution/framrate than this. It has this boring plastic clean look the insomniac spiderman games have.

Re: $200 MGS Delta Collector's Edition Ridiculed Over Temu-Esque Snake Figurine

Oh brother, had a good laugh.

It baffles me why people want these dust collector statues.

The best special editions focus on the media, with an art book, soundtrack or similar.

My favourite collector editions so far have been:

  • Ni no Kuni: the entire Wizard's companion book with gorgeous Ghibli art and short stories.
  • Unicorn Overlord: comes with a complete card game that's pretty sweet.
  • Witcher 3 DLC: Gwent!
  • Xenoblade Chronicle Games: amazing art books and soundtracks

Do you guys have any favourites?

Re: Konami 'Forgiven' for Dropping Metal Gear Solid Voice Lead in Fifth Game

I thought the sub was directed towards Kojima: stop being a baby and try mgs delta when it releases!

The man loves the smell of his own farts. If he'd make a movie the way he makes games they'd be unwatchable.

Mgs1 was the only truly cinematic game he made, and while the plots were still enjoyable until peace walker (and parts of mgsV) he's just become way to pretentious with his "auteur" status.

I truly hope someone picks up the series, reboots it and does away with the cringe exposition, fan service etc. Unhealthy fanboys will be outraged and act like it's sacrilege, but to hell with it! The base plot of mgs is too cool to sleep on it while pretending that only his majesty Kojima can do something great with it.

Kojima started out as Francis Ford Copolla, Apocalypse Now, Godfather but has turned into Megalopolis over the last 10-15 years.

Re: Round Up: Total Lack of Mafia: The Old Country PS5 Reviews Is a Red Flag

@nem spot on

@ShogunRok how is any of that social media buzz and negativity representative truth? It's the opposite of truth in this attention economy! No truth would get "burried" by leaving these attention seekers out of the loop. Just keeping proper reviewers and classic word of mouth by people who have no agenda would unmuddy the waters.

This site is no better however. Alone the title, that late reviews is a "red flag" is extremely misleading and sets a negative narrative, where the comment section can do the rest of the work.
Next article... Pick a random tweet how someone has experienced a crash, enough for Pushsquare to write an article how "users" have a problems and the games a buggy mess.

Nintendolife manages to write neutral articles for the most part, time extension actually do research and write quality articles, but pushsquare is on bloody tabloid level.

Re: Rumour: Leaked PS6 Specs Reveal Affordable, Power Efficient Next-Gen Console

Personally think this is a good approach to performance. Having too much (mostly unnecessary) headroom just leads to lots of unoptimized games that either could just run because of the uneconomical setup, or still chug along despite the horsepower.
I'd rather see a mobile only, with a egpu powered dock, but if the software runs on both handheld and console while being reasonably priced is also ok.
