Re: Physical Retailers Refuse to Sell GTA 6 Over Decision to Skip Discs

Why do gamers, especially in the west, get exploited? Because they're exploitable schmucks! The steam machine selling out at that price, buying games for 70/80$€, pre-ordering digital or things which are not in limited stock, spending thousands on Disney world,... yet scoffing about paying taxes for a social system, consumer rights and regulations in the private sector.

VGP is amazing and has been my go-to for a while now, despite not even being on the same continent.

My hope is that Asia region might get a true physical edition eventually. I mean, come on, how greedy is Rockstar that they'll just sell you a code in a box. Nintendo with their game key cards sound generous in comparison.

Re: 'Some Analysts Believe Sony Is Considering Pushing the PS6 Back': Embracer Report Hints at Later Than 2027 Launch

Couldn't care less. First Light looks and runs fantastic on the base PS5 if you just play it rather than run it through a digital foundry lense. As long as Orange man is messing up the worlds economy there's no point in forcing a new console at a price that'll be to it's own detriment. Enthusiasts with deep pockets should not weigh in on this matter.

Re: New Senua Game Reveal Used as a Way to Sell Ninja Theory to Suitors

tameshiyaku

@AznTD they made a tripleA game like Senua on a budget and mostly made fantastic games like enslaved and DMC. Yes, lots of them flopped, but that was more bad luck, lack of exposure and toxic gamers bashing the studio relentlessly because of purists "that's not Dante!" and other petty grievances. It's funny how the overall narrative around DMC has also changed over the years and is now seen for what it was, a great game.
With Sony putting their games into the spotlight rather than game pass obscurity they could become a reliable studio that can work on a budget, which will also mitigate risks.

Re: PS5's New Star Wars Strategy Game, Zero Company, Is Just Months Away

tameshiyaku

Don't care what the internet is saying, star wars is delivering the goods: Mando&Grogu: sweet standalone adventure, maul series: great, andor: peak, outlaws: great game hated for sport, the jedi games: great games.

These fanboys complain about anything really, f.e. "we have to move away from Skywalker's story" and when they get the Mando movie "it doesn't connect to any bigger story".

Re: Sudden Steam Deck Price Increase Pins More Questions on PS6

tameshiyaku

Anyone who's looking into x86 handhelds, I really just recommend buying a snapdragon8 phone or tablet and using pc emulators like gamenative and gamehub. It's way cheaper than any pc handheld and the performance isn't that far behind higher end handhelds and mostly on par with the steam deck.
Battery life on arm is vastly better. Put a x86 in sleep mode and pick up the day after and you'll basically have a dead device, while a phone/tablet maybe lost <5%.

Re: 8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for May 2026 Announced

tameshiyaku

Hey, now all those who deemed outlaws as crap before even playing it can actually try it and make their own damn opinion rather than just hopping on a hate bandwagon.

One of the best open world games of the last years, but posting crap based on ill informed preconceived notions is more fun for people these days.

Re: Physical Game Fans, Beware: Digital Downloads Hit an Astonishing 85% on PS5, PS4 Last Quarter

tameshiyaku

@get2sammyb I'm not so sure about these numbers since adding plus games (base, extra and premium) count as a purchase. I receive an email stating that I've bought the game for 0€ with every plus game I add.
Take every base psplus user that adds the three monthly games to their library and then maybe buys a single physical game per month or every other month. Do you see how this considerably changes the numbers, even if that user hasn't really bought a single digital game.

This is a narrative that likes to be sold, physical is outdated and about to die. Then Sony doesn't have to mess with retailers, consumer rights and losses through a 2nd hand market. Let's not be fooled and continue to demand ownership of our purchases.

Re: 'I'm Tired of Games That Are Too Big': Open World RPG Dawnwalker Doesn't Want to Waste Your Time

tameshiyaku

He has a good argument. There are too many games that just give you busy work or basically force you to grind to progress. Games can be long if warranted if it has a story that can sustain such a length, but must also respect the players time.

One example I can think of, Red dead redemption 1, great story, gameplay and length. Red dead 2, nice story but it didn't respect the players time. It ended up self indulgent and only offered the illusion of freedom.

Other example death stranding 1, very long and self indulgent, story all over the place and too long. Death stranding 2, perfect balance in all aspects, masterpiece.
