Absolutely more Uncharted together with their new space IP! As much as I appreciate both games, I don't wanna hear the words "the last of us" anytime soon. Sony took it too far shoving it down our throats.
What a wasted opportunity. These physical releases should be a retweaked edition, where they remove the gamble and grind elements and offer a summary of multiple events/seasons, just presented in a more conventional single player campaign. A faster way to get players up to speed on current events. If it were so I could find value in it. This is just a waste of money and more plastic garbage.
Yeah, there's a memory shortage, but it doesn't justify a price increase like that. Corps are just using this to test what they can get away with, without taking the blame. Also, as things are going for open ai, they might be out done for by the time the ps6 goes into production.
@MrPeanutbutterz agree! story wise absolutely. I haven't seen many games that reach cdpr's extraordinary writing, both in main and side quests. However, I had game breaking bugs playin w3 at release.
Crimson desert looks like it offers fantastic gameplay, but yeah, the story won't even come close to w3.
I can imagine this to be a masterpiece in a year from now. People seem to forget, especially after cyberpunk, but the Witcher 3 also became the masterpiece it is after many, many patches.
I wouldn't dismiss it right away. It'll become more sophisticated over time, latency and ghosting will reduce and I can imagine this to eventually become indistinguishable to the naked eye. However, it always needs to stay an option on top of stable native frames.
I doubt anyone wanted to undermine pssr2s launch, but whatever push square. This is I believe most embarrassing for DF however. All the gushing about it felt so acted and cringe worthy.
This is the title I'm most looking forward to. I been clambering for a new Onimusha for years, unfortunately the dragon's dogma people were louder.
However, the way the gaming community is, I think not enough people will show up to actually buy it. I really hope they do, but it's hard to imagine. The same goes for Okami 2. I guess the world just didn't deserve clover studios, but I'm happy we still have platinum.
@TrollOfWar it's really a piss poor showing, and I could imagine that even if they should try to reach out to actual sources they'd not get any replies because of lack of credibility. Once in a while we get nice little pieces, usually when the crew is traveling to Japan, and I do compliment it in the comments, but other than that it's just milking some rando social media rage bait.
Been saying for ages that pxplay us a superior solution.
I got it on a phone with a mcon controller (like a pspgo) and an 8inch tablet with a telescopic controller (like a better psportal) and I play those over the internet far away from home. Simply fantastic.
It was a joke, not a serious statement. However, I could imagine some publisher exec demand such a thing. If you make something to appeal to everyone it ultimately appeals to nobody.
Classic console gaming were long dead weren't it for the fantastic work of Japan's big publishers: Sega, Square Enix, Capcom and of course Nintendo & Sony (to a limited extent). Konami is also stepping up and reclaiming it's spot it once had. My money goes to them and to all the wonderful indies. The big American publisher's however have truly failed the medium and wrecked the business with it's overblown budgets and wreckless handling of labour.
I can't tell the difference of 1440p Vs 4k, I can't tell the difference between everything over 40fps, I don't know if HDR is on or off unless I check what my TV says, and ray tracing I can only recognise in some instances.
You know what I do recognise in an instant is bad animations, but nobody ever talks about that. Even a low detailed game can look outlandishly good when the animations are done well.
Uncharted can go in different directions. Either branching out from one adventurer to another (my preference), or have Nathan Drake be like James Bond or the Simpsons, never aging, yet always contemporary. I could see both working. It's pulp fiction, so I don't see it being "depleted" from a story perspective.
Early production stills often don't convey the look. Add some colour grading, grain, good cinematography and most importantly motion and we're looking at something completely different. As long as I don't see a trailer I'm not worried.
That's an exceptionally unflattering comparison. Almost looks like a bug. There are in game character model comparisons between ps5pro and switch 2 that don't look as tragic so it baffles me how df got these side by sides.
People should be pissed about Sony (and many others) buying, mismanaging and closing good studios. All due to a widespread delusional capitalism where things are never good enough, management oozes toxic optimism and markets are expected to grow indefinitely. It's not feasible, it's destructive. I'm in the medical field and the same is happening there.
I never heard of a ghost of Tsushima anime. Why does it have to be legends? Just because it's anime doesn't mean it has to include fantastical elements. Some of the best anime is grounded in reality.
Oh please, not this topic again! Bloodborne is my favourite from software game, yet still, this incessant begging for a Bloodborne remaster is beyond annoying! Just as bad as the silksong crowd, but finally, they got what they wanted and the world kept spinning.
If what he's saying that the gameplay will be new I'm very happy about that. Norse GoW gameplay was a reimagining of the greek GoW gameplay and yet stayed true to it. It did the same but brought you closer into the action and added more depth. Sorta like the jump from SNES Metroid to Metroid prime. Don't let the nostalgia goggles or purist fanboyism fool you, this is a definite upgrade!
Awful, and an obvious case of mismanagement by the parent company.
One thing that bugs me is this part: "Schreier writes that the studio has spent the last year or so pitching new ideas in an attempt to decide the company's immediate future."
Why not have them work on another remake instead of letting their wheels spin for a year. I'm sure you can pitch ideas on the side as well or have a small group dedicated to it if necessary.
Somewhat cringe and it just sounded like stock gametrailer music. The performance parts just seemed like it added beat samples over the existing generic music. Hard to tell from the trailer though.
@PuppetMaster crouching was the only thing added, which didn't add anything to the gameplay, and equally didn't break the gameplay either. It was basically identical to mgs3 subsistence. This isn't twin snakes, where the added mgs2 gameplay actually made the game super easy. If you play mgs Delta on harder difficulties the ai is in line with what you always had.
My point being, a remake should be bold and not just a highdef reskin. Delta missed its chance by A - being lazy or/and B - having no balls to change things up in fear of nostalgia misled fanboys.
Fanboys tore apart twin snakes as well for it's "over the top" cutscenes, despite every flippin MGS game having baths**crazy, over the top cutscenes ala Kojima. FF7 remake being bashed for subverting story expectations and adding optional yet fun side content, not bloat. If people want the Greek GoW as they know it they should just dust off their old consoles or boot up an emulator. They can even add highres textures and all.
@Oram77 my PS3 disc and UMD are both in good working order. Disc rot seems fairly rare. I've only discovered that my Blu-ray of Stardust was affected. If it should happen I have no qualms looking into cfw's on my obsolete hardware as I own these games, disc rot or not.

Come on people. Which remake do you prefer: MGS Delta or Resident Evil 2,3,4?
I just finished MGS Delta and the gameplay hasn't aged like fine wine. Especially the high fidelity graphics paired with the aged animations felt off.
It's a remake, let them cook something modern feeling and not just modern in looks. The originals can easily be played if you want the original.
