@Flaming_Kaiser I don't think you understand how team red creates characters for strive. Unlike snk, team red doesn't raise character model assets from the previous games, hence they are made from scratch. So it's not like they are keeping old characters behind a paywall, it is just that models for those old characters don't exist even for strive yet.

Again, KOF15, is just kof14 with a coat of new paint, and four new characters. So yeah, you are getting more characters from KOF, because 95% of those characters already existed, while for Guilty Gear none of the character models for strive existed in previous games(you can even check for yourself).

I have to also disagree with you on this one, I got more value out of buying Guilty Gear rev2 4 years ago for $60 then I had for GOW4 for the same price. Why? Because that $60 Guilty Gear game has given me fun for about 4 years now, while that enjoyment of GOW only lasted for about a month.

@nomither6 Why shouldn't they announce dlc. Dlc is a way to show that they are supporting the game after release.

Fighting games are multiplayer focused games, so they require a healthy playerbase to stick around after the first month. Dlc characters are the best solution to this when the game release, because they help create a sense of anticipation for the future of the game and they help keep players coming back to the game after months of release.

You guys should realise that the fighting game genre is not as thriving as the shooters, rpg and AAA action adventure game genre, it is very niche. When compared to other mulpiyer games like shooters, majority of fighting games have a very unhealthy playerbase, meaning that the playerbase drops significantly after a month of release.So a AAA game like FF7 remake can wait a year then announce dlc, but a fighting game like Guilty Gear can not afford that luxury, it requires a constant playerbase and DLC gives that hype.

No, this doesn't mean that they purposely cut content from the base game,and seeing Guilty Gear strives development history, I wouldn't be surprised if they are still working on the first dlc character as we speak.Plus, it's not like making games is getting cheaper.

@nomither6 What are you on about, this dlc characters have not been finished yet, so it would not be possible to put them on disc.
Rereleasing games is a terrible idea, and it splits up the playerbase.

@Flaming_Kaiser I can get more value out of Strive at $60, then I can out of any Sony single player game for the same price. So I think it is fair that fighting games can cost as much as any other AAA single player games.

Plus we don't know if they are finished with the dlc characters yet, and with all the delays the game had , I doubt it.

@arra1213 Tbh, Kof15 roaster are just reused assets from kof14, with a new coat of paint, and four new character mixed in , while also still being of objectively less quality in terms of animation visual effects of the models than Strives.

So don't be surprised to find out that SNK spent way less money on the character models for kof15, compared to the 15 character models for Arcsystem Guilty Gear strive.

Doubt it, and they should remove Kat from that poster, Playstation failed Gravity Rush.

Especially fighting games, which playstation is becoming the console of choice for, thus it makes sense for them to buy EVO.

It has a very inclusive geographic appeal, from Africa to Europe to South America and to Asia.

So yes , you are in the minority, no other sports brings people of the same country and continent together(international football) while simultaneously bringing people of different country and creed(Club football) together like football does, not even the Olympics.

Football is not just a sport, it is a way of life.

But I do not blame you, if you aren't in or weren't brought up in an environment that loves football, then there would be a disconnect with the joy of football. From the country I am from, no, from the continent I am from , it is impossible to have not grown up with football in your family. So it is impossible for me to understand your indifference towards football.

P.S. if you want to watch a footballer who doesn't dive like a swimmer, then watch Lionel Messi, he is the greatest footballer that has ever played the sport or will play the sport, and he is famously known for not diving, plus he is a magician with the football.

@nhSnork Gravity rush on switch would be fire, and you know what, since Sony isn't even going to use the Gravity rush IP in the future,since they are less focus on games like Gravity rush, they should sell it to Nintendo. Nintendo will then hire the Gravity rush devs, and we can finally get our Gravity rush 3.

@Bliquid Uhm what? he was even less Geary in the past game,atleast here he has belts now, unlike before. Plus he looks unique with his redesign,and thats what makes Guilty Gear characters special,its not that they all look like they are in a metal band, it's that they all look unique.

If anything ,you can't say that he looks out of place when characters such as May,Millia,Giovanna,Ky and Axl being just as less Geary as Anji exist.

Ah, I am disappointed, but it's fine, its technically three months from now.

So I doubt they will be only fixing the lobby and the servers,they will probably add more combo routes like allowing P to cancel into K ,and some other buttons to cancel into dust. They will reduce the damage,and probably add more moves to some characters.They will redesign the characters select screen,and e.t.c

Honestly, I am little bit happy that Arcsys has put so much care into this game,and their communication and openness with the fans has been top class this past few years. I hope that Guilty Gear strive succeeds, so that Guilty Gear doesn't become a mobile Gacha Game, like their younger sibling BlazBlue.

@Bliquid Guilty Gear Strive will be following the seasonal dlc model of dragonball fighterz, granblue fantasy verses,MK11,Sf5 and tekken 7.So do not worry , they won't be releasing a Guilty Gear strive revelator or anything of that sort anytime in the future.

But I do hope that Arcsys takes a note from sf5 ,and try and release an ultimate edition of the game frequently, that has all the seasonsl passes till date.

If this is true I will be happy, since I was holding out on ff7,because I wanted to play it when its complete with its eventual sequel,so that I can experience ff7 for the first time .

This is sad,because this means no more gravity rush 3,or even games like last gaurdian and its predecessor. I know their games had clunky controls at times,but NGL, they were much more funner than your uncharted like games.
