@Korgon Yeah, DS5 is bad for fighting games, which extends to the PS5 itself to, with it having the most input delay of any platform for Strive and KOF15.

Ps4 pro is the best playstaion to play fighting games in now.The DS4 is also the best playstion controller for fighting games, the DS5 for me has the Xbox problem.

@Korgon You should give DNF a shot.

It is slower pace then Strive, it doesn't have as many system mechanics as Strive for you to learn, It has optional directional inputs( meaning you don't have to do quarter circles and the lot to do your special moves), It is much more ground based than Strive like SF5 is, and it has better netcode than both SF5 and DOA.

@ShogunRok TBH, MK11, killer instinct, Skullgirls and power rangers have been doing rollback+crossplay for sometime now.

But Guilty Gear Strive, as a Japanese fighting game dev, setting this standards will be far more impactful for the fighting game genre in the coming future.

@Travisemo007 I didn't say the gameplay was like Strive, I said it's visuals were borrowed from xrd, which was the Guilty Gear game before Strive.

I played the DNF beta, and the pacing was a bit slower than Strive. DNF also doesn't have airdashing. If you want a recent fighting game that's faster than Strive, you can checkout Melty blood type lumina and kof 15( closer to street fighter in terms of gameplay.).

Or you can try Blazblue CF on PC,since it has rollback and you can find people on there. You can also try Guilty Gear ac+r, the Guilty Gear before xrd, a blazblue fan would feel right at home,plus it has rollback on PC.

@AFCC It's using the same engine and some design aesthetics from Guilty Gear xrd.

@Jaz007 I agree. I have always said that Aloy was your typical generic adventurer heroine.

Gender swap her, and you would realise how plain and boring her Character is.

The only praise I see people giving her is that she is a female character, that isn't sexualised or made to attractive(as if this is now a negative).

She feels very artificial compared to other main characters, like Kratos, Arthur Morgan, Cloud, Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and ironically Nathan Drake, the walking action movie stereotype.

Aloy funny enough, reminds me of Lara from Tomb Raider.

@Zuljaras TBH, besides oversexaulization, it is the norm for female lead characters in action and/or adventure games to not have any romantic relationships at all, and if they do to, it's usually not of the opposite sex anyway.

So yeah, I haven't yet played the sequel,but I doubt you have to worry about Aloy getting a boyfriend or a husband 😅.

@nessisonett It's for the best players for the whole of last year, most of you are suffering from recency bias. Messi has only been a PSG player for the last 3 months.

Let me put it this way, Messi in the whole of last year achieved more than both Benzema and Salah, there is a reason why he was top two for both Ballon'dor and FIFA's best.

Salah has only been great this season, but Benzema has been very consistent the whole year.

Bandai it's not really rocket science by now, but please just give Arcsys to make a proper fighting game for any of the many anime ips you have locked up.

I mean imagine a Bleach, One piece or Naruto game like dragon ball fighter Z.

I can only dream, but until than I don't think I will waste money on any anime ip game that is not a real fighting game, unless Bandai does the impossible and supply us with a good single player game for an anime ip that isn't arena fighter.

If it wasn't dragonball and Arcsys didn't make it look so good, the game would've been long dead by now.

We honestly shouldn't have to demand for basic online features in 2022.

@NoxAeturnus Nothing new for persona. They literally had a fighting game as a sequel for Persona 4 called Persona 4 arena.

Then it will be dead on arrival.

If a AAA company like Atlus can't put a functioning online in their ported fighting game, then I won't be bothered in spending money on it.

I am happy for Guilty Gear strive, definitely deserved it.

Funny enough, I also thought it was the best looking game this year, and its sound track isn't half bad.

Let's hope it has rollback netcode, so that I can actually play it online if I buy it. I hope it sells well so that they can make another one for Persona 5

Starting from this year, the next three years is going to be big for fighting games.

Hope this plethora of fighting games brings in more people into the FGC.

In hindsight, it is good that Guilty Gear strive released this year, because there seems to be alot of competition coming in the near future.

@Burntbreadman Funny enough, some DNF characters were inspired by Guilty Gear I think, so this game basically brings everything back full circle.

@Stocksy Gandalf was leaked before, so Harry Potter characters aren't a stretch.

Guilty Gear strive should have been there for the art direction...

@Telekill Nah,the ps Vita was GOATED, it's just that Sony failed to support it and they also lacked foresight in regards to the memory card problem.

Steam deck ain't going to have either of those problems.

Persona 5 Royals music is fire.

Sold based on IP alone, kinda sad, while proper fighting games like Guilty Gear strive and Melty blood are kinda over looked.

@4kgk2 But Europeans aren't the only ones that love football, many continents loves it. The champions league is watched almost religiously by many South Americans and Africans.

Uhm no, Asuna and Kirito are pretty chill characters imo, but they get hate because they are the main characters and they feel flawless at times.

All I know is that final fantasy 13 is the worst.

Persona 5 royal is brilliant, it's been better than final fantasy 7 remake for me.
