Which version of GranBlue is it? If it's the base day one version with like 12 characters, then lol 😆.
If it's the one with all the dlc characters, than it's a pretty good deal. Granblue has a single player experience, something not in many fighting games and has a great presentation.

All in all, it basically plays like street fighter , but with an anime fantasy medieval design. It has directional inputs, so it's easy for people who can't do motion inputs to play.

I am most excited about the lore and enemy designs. The Chinese fairytale like aesthetics, make the game look so exotic.

i think the devs said that we would be using like 50 of Sun Wukings powers, and if that true then this game will be goated. From what little we have seen, his powers look cool and diverse. I hope he also has a power to transform into a defeated enemy.

I understand peoples skepticism and wanting to see a release date, but the devs should take all the time they need.

@z0d15g0d A female character can commit sexaul assault to another female character, and she won't be reprimanded by either other characters or through the moral of the plot. Hell, at some point it will show that the victim will even start to enjoy it, because as we all know, every anime female character has a closeted attraction to other women.

It's a pretty dumb troupe that comes with morden moe anime, which usually have a female centric cast. A recent example of this is the anime LYCORIS RECOIL.

Seriously, your statement reminds me why good female character representation isn't still on the level as good male character representation in video games, because female characters aren't as diverse as a character like their male counter part.

FFS,I would take a manipulative female lead over another pure stoic or "manly" female heroine character not trying to look attractive.

All in all, what I am trying to say is that the traits that you don't want in the female lead, shouldn't be neglected on the assumption that it makes the female characters feel less.

@GymratAmarillo I disagree with this thought process. The game not being exclusive to Sony isn't the reason it is in this situation.

A game being exclusive to Sony can still be in development hell, while we have known thousands of non-exclusive games that has come out without much delays of this nature.

FFX still has one of the best romances in the series. Loved the mini game, characters and the story. I did not like the ending, so I was happy that FFX-2 fixed that up.

Also, even though FFX-2 gets alot of hate, it is still one of the few adventure games that the main female lead has a romantic male partner (or had lol). I also liked the female characters development from the first game to now.

@Lorcan Ironically, this series to me does a great job of showing that having anime troupes in your game, doesn't automatically make the game bad.

Yes, those anime troups doesn't necessarily always elevate the game, but it does show that having them shouldn't be a reason for a game to be bad in the first place.

Anyways, that's what I am getting from playing TOCS 1 and now 67 hrs in TOCS 2.

@Korgon The thing is that no netcode will he able to make the wifi experience close to that of the wired,because of the packet loss.

Having said that, rollback is a far superior netcode for fighting games compared to delay based netcode.

It makes playing against opponents who are far away, feel smooth. Although as you said, there is still lags against the wifi warriors( that's what we call them in the fgc), it's still more bearable than delay based netcode, which makes your character feel like they are playing underwater.

So the best solution is for the fighting game to have a wifi indicator that tell you if your opponent is on wifi or not, which will help you filter them out.

@Korgon The reason people still have laggy matches even with good rollback, is because your opponent is playing on wifi, instead of a wired connection.

Capcom had good rollback in MVC infinite, so I am confident that this one will also be very good.

Fantasy Verse actually looks better than this game imo.

@dasd2 Huh,the characters for Cold steel 1 and 2 are fully voiced. The optional dialouge are not fully voiced, just like inn persona 5.

The trails of cold steel characters being childish? I mean for one, just like with Persona 5 , the main characters are essenstially children. Two, at the end of Coldsteel 1 and the beginning for Cold steel 2( thats where i am currently at), i thought the main chracters had matured very well, and their character developement showed constructive growth.

IMO, i think Cold steel main characters and their relationships dynamics had better developement than in persona 5.

@dasd2 IDK about that . I haven't play the Trails in the sky trilogy or the crossbell games.

I have only played Cold Steel 1 and currently on 2, and yet I find the story, character cast and gameplay of the Cold Steel games, more enjoyable and intriguing than Persona 5.

The only aspect that Persona 5 has it beat in, is the graphics, visual representation and the social bonding events imo.

I hope it's a hero shooter.

I just finished Trails of Cold Steel 1 yesterday. That ending was great.

It being my first Trails game, I can already see that the world building for this games are both incredible immense and very immersive.

I enjoyed the gameplay loop and characters more than in person5 royal. At first the characters and relationships may come off as tropey, but the more you spend time with them, the more you learn about their other side. The turn-based system in TOCS 1 seems more free-form than in Megami Tensei games.

I also love how the narrative of TOCS1 is told. The story and its narrative is played like a novel. The pacing is quite slow, but the payoffs are worth it.

Please just make a normal hero shooter, stop with the battle royal bs.

The only entertaining hero shooter alive right now is Paladins. We need more quality hero shooters, and devs that have the passion to keep updating and balancing the game frequently to keep it fresh( blizzard, I am looking at you).

It is very ironic and alarming when Nathan Drake, the generic action adventure man persona, feels less generic and more genuine than Lara Croft in the new trilogy.
