New legend of heroes, Guilty Gear Strive and whatever SNK has for me, yup, the Jap devs are keeping me bussy this year.

Come on,have this people not learned, if you want to make a good fighting game based on an anime Ip,Arcsys is your guy,yes even for 3d arena fighters,go take a look at their kill la kill game.

I like it that Arcsys is taking the postive cues from the western fighting games developers,like having a more open relationship with its community,including rollback netcode,putting more emphasis on dingle player content,and having a more indepth training mode.
Now its just a matter of thime for netherealms studio,to learn how to animate better...

@SegaBlueSky Of course it does not,tbh no company have yet to replicate Team Reds beautiful visual style,and i like it like that,I love Samsho 2019 visuals,yet it did not look like Guilty Gear.
Plus diversity in artsytle is what I really like about the figthing game genre(Every genre is going photo realistic nowadays).

Nope,none of this games interest me,so can we get more fighting games and jrpg's please,thats literally what this platform is well known for ,when talking about both of those genres.

@Flaming_Kaiser For a fighting game like street fighter which has multiple characters sharing similar moveset and playstyle(e.g shotos like Ken and Ryu),yes it is daylight robbery,but for a anime fighter like Guilty Gear,this is ok,because each character in guilty gear plays unique from one another,and add to the fact that guilty gear allows more flexibility with its cast due to its mechanics,you have a formula for quality over quantity.

Plus a cast of over 25 characters,for a Guilty Gear game,will just make match up knowledge hard to come by.
I am lucky that I main Anji, in Guilty Gear accent core plus r and that Nagokirayuki is looking sick,so I am satisfied with my character choice in strive,except if the DLC's interest me.

DLC's are necessary evils for fighting games,because it helps keeps the game fresh and helps maintain the player base interest in the game itself.

The only things you need to look out for, are scummy moves like when the DLC characters are cut from the base game,but seeing as Guilty Gear strive's base cast still do not have full voice lines yet,nor are their whole moves set finalized, you do not need to worry about that with Guilty Gears strive.

Nah,i am more hyped for Guilty Gear strive.

@RPE83 Nah the other two movies in this arc,were hated,force awaken less so,because it had the benefit of the doubt in being a potential start of a great new saga,and the shock factor also helped keep it memorable, but the two movies after that were just horrible,no question asked.
Do not worry,the fanbase despise Kathleen Kennedy,and I believe the developers do deserve some blame for certain artistic choices cough*Reylo*cough,but you are right,they do not deserve full on hate,they are like 40 to 30 percent at fault here.

Also the only actors I see getting full on hate,are Daisy Ridley and Kelly Tran,both whom are Rey and Rose's actresses.I guess this is a duality for actors/actresses, in which people believe,that if you can praise and glorify an actor /actress for playing a certain character,you can also by pseudo right,condemn and vilify them for playing a certain character.

@RPE83 Uhm,last Jedi was genuinely bad,it deserves all the hate it gets,it sends a message to big movie corps like disney,that they can not just put out a series of movies,without planning it out,and just expecting people to blindly consume their content just because of the the brand name.

It has both vertical and horizontal depth,good.I trust this game to have a great vatiety of story driven side content and a world with life,but I am a bit worried about the gameplay,and performance of the game,I guess I will wait for reviews to come in.

So if it does not ruin gameplay,and is not insulting to certain groups of people,then their is nothing really wrong with skimpy and scantily clad characters in PG18,Japanese games...

@DonJorginho Sports people Lazy?Do you realise how much money clubs and leagues earn from this players(merchandise, ticket sales,subscription, services...),I think it is fair for these players,so they do not get reaped off for the work they are doing(remember players are no better than a clubs product).

But I want to correct you on one thing,those game that do sell playstation consoles may be a priority,but those niche genre(fighting games,and jrpg's) do very well in the east,in terms of sales,popularity and normalization into their social life.

So implying that this niche genres will not cost Sony sales if they do not sell,is undermining there selling power in non-western area's,e.g if a popular pro fighting game player,see's that for example xbox is advertising fighting games and sponsoring the FG tournaments,I bet you that they would invest more on the xbox system,than on playstation.

@naruball Again,it depends on the genre.The best selling games on ps4,do not use sex to sell,being that their target audience are not required to ingest said content in order to buy the game,thus more popular genre,do not require such content like sex to sell, but less popular genres like like fighting games,hero shooters and most jrpg's would not sell half as well,without sexy characters.

It's the first rule of advertising,know what to use to attract your audience.
