@XenonKnight This is exactly why I didn't buy Gears, even on sale for $20. It's a bizarre choice to release the first games in these series on PS5, but not the rest. Is the plan to have people buy Gears 1 or this new Halo remake on PS5, whet their appetite, then have them buy an Xbox to play the following sequels when they release? It doesn't make any sense. What's happening here is a company, backed by a trillion dollar corporation, that isn't fully on the same page, changing leadership, and saying things that will quiet down the remnants of their core fan base, while seemingly ignoring the fact that they were courting PlayStation players just a few months ago.

@DennisReynolds I do feel like Asha is getting a ton of credit for making a few token changes: the logo, removing the "everything is an Xbox" tagline; and reversing some things: price of Gamepass, although it's still higher than it was before. But ultimately, the damage has been done. Their messaging is all over the place: Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War E-Day will forever be Xbox exclusives, but Gears 1 and Halo are on PS5? And Forza Horizon 5 sold like crazy on PlayStation. So at this point, I just think everything coming out of there needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

I believe Phil Spencer once said that Starfield was never coming to PS5.

I'd still love to see Modern Warfare 3 Remastered, but it seems Activision has no interest in releasing it.

I've been moderately interested in this game for a bit, but that protagonist Kliff just looks so generic. He kinda reminds me of, visually at least, Clive from FFVI. The other two playable characters seen much more interesting, but apparently they can't be used in main story quests.

A new GTA VI trailer along with gameplay and pre-order info would quiet everybody down.

Given the fact that PS Studios has no first person shooters besides Bungie's stuff, a full remake of Killzone needs to be on the table, with all of the lore restored that was left out of the PS2 original.

@Boxmonkey Same here. I'm not even worried about replay value anymore - as soon as I finish a game I move onto the next one. Eventually I'll go back and replay it down the road.

I didn't watch Season 2. Season 1 started off well, but it just glossed over far too many sequences - the battle through Bill's town/Lincoln, MA, the whole University of Eastern Colorado sequence where Joel gets seriously injured, and the Left Behind episode didn't have the same impact, because in the game, Ellie was in an abandoned shopping mall, so naturally it brought her back to the last mall she was in, but in the show, she was just rummaging through random drawers for supplies and has the mall flashbacks. Plus, as someone who grew up just north of Boston, that whole "10 miles west of Boston" scene where it's clearly somewhere in western Canada was just laughable.

As the article mentioned, they really don't need to charge more than $70 for the standard edition. Everyone is going to buy it, and there will surely be special editions for $80 to $100+ that will likely offer three day early access or something. They just want as many people to buy it as possible, which shouldn't be a problem.

I saw the purple game cover and bright, pastel background of the thumbnail and thought for a second that the GTA VI box art got leaked. Definitely think it's time to go to sleep now.

A horribly voiced protagonist can ruin a game. The female player character from Bound by Flame comes to mind. Obscure example, I know, but man did that voice actress do a terrible job - completely turned me off from that game entirely.

Extra funding is great, but I really hope Atari doesn't interfere in any of IC's work.

@darylb24 Yeah honestly I'm looking forward to ATS but I'm more interested in Road Kings too. Either way, it'll be good once they all finally release, because there really aren't many quality trucking sims on PS5. I've tried Alaskan Truck Simulator and the American Dream one, and found them both to be pretty bad.

What about Road Kings from Saber? That was announced around the same time as these two and we haven't really heard anything about it either.

I hope Artyom is a more engaging protagonist this time around. The way he stays silent while his wife and companions talk to him was really annoying in Exodus.

I've played for around five hours or so on PS5 Pro with a few mods enabled and haven't had any crashes so far.

Very strange, considering Bethesda is very used to developing for PlayStation.

I've been seeing this for a few weeks now. This only shows up when you go over to the "browse" tab. Everything else is the same, as far as I can tell.

@MrPeanutbutterz Yeah I realize the situation is different - Saros is made specifically for PlayStation by a dev intimately familiar with PS - I don't at all expect a delay. It's just every time I hear about a game going gold, I immediately think of Cyberpunk. So the initial comment was more for my own benefit. I guess Cyberpunk kind of ruined the whole "going gold" milestone for me.

@MrPeanutbutterz Wasn't meant to be a gotcha - as I said, I expect Saros to release on time. I just like to point out Cyberpunk every time there's an article about a game going gold, because for me at least, it doesn't have the same meaning as it used to.

Friendly reminder that Cyberpunk went gold and was delayed soon after. Don't think that will happen here, and we now know what the problems were with Cyberpunk, but I always like to point that out.

@PuppetMaster I watched it, I was talking specifically about the games. Capcom shouldn't rely on the CG films to explain the whereabouts of one of its original characters.

The biggest mystery is actually where in the world is Jill Valentine? The last game in which she was a protagonist was Revelations in 2012, and the last mainline game was Nemesis in 1999 - I'm not counting the 2020 reimagining. Capcom just puts out Leon, Leon, and more Leon while introducing new characters and ignoring every other classic character except Chris Redfield.

I'll definitely be picking this up. Played about 125 hours when it released until my Series X decided to not work anymore, so I'm super excited to start over on PS5 Pro. Was there any mention of a physical version? Or did I miss it?
