You can always rely on the PS Store to leak something in the build-up to a showcase, and with The Game Awards now just two days away, it's done it again.

It has long been rumoured that Leon S. Kennedy will be a large part of Resident Evil Requiem, despite the fact Capcom hasn't once shown him in trailers or gameplay. We now know that to be true, as Leon has appeared in the background of an updated cover art on the PS Store.

It's not live for everyone, but if you've pre-ordered the game, you can navigate to the PS5 pre-download page (which lists when you should expect to pre-load it) and see the new image in the corner. Here's a blown-up version of it:

Resident Evil Requiem PS5 2

Reports of the updated cover art first came from players who have pre-ordered on Reddit, and now IGN has confirmed the image is real. The new art has Grace Ashcroft front and centre, holding a torch, while Leon is placed behind her. Presumably, the fan-favourite character will be playable in some capacity.

Capcom is set to debut a "new look" at Resident Evil Requiem at The Game Awards later this week, which is where this reveal will almost certainly take place in an official capacity. Expect a trailer where Leon turns up at the end — or something along those lines.
