@Godot25 Well the difference is that the PlayStation PC ports are all of games that were never going to ship on Xbox. But the Activision/Blizzard/Bethesda games have released on both PlayStation and Xbox since basically the PS3/360 generation, and now because Xbox decided to purchase these two large publishers outright, there is an air of uncertainty around games that before, would've been assumed to be multiplatform.
@DonJorginho I loved playing as Kyle Crane - always imagined he was some alternate universe version of Chris Redfield, what with Roger Craig Smith voicing him. The protagonist of Dying Light 2 was so generic in my opinion, like a combination of Troy Baker and Nolan North
Pragmata has got to show up somewhere at some point. It was announced back in 2020 alongside the PS5 and we still no next to nothing about it. I think there's more info about Deep Down than this vaporware-esque game.
The last Broken Sword game I played on a PlayStation console was Broken Sword 5 on Vita and, if I remember correctly, was priced at $20 and was exclusively touch screen with zero controller input. Glad to see this one is getting some refinements.
Concord might've been better suited to a Mass Effect style, single player sci-fi RPG; but given the fact that Destiny vets are developing it, it was likely always "destined" to be live service
@Tecinthebrain His storyline certainly got slightly more interesting in Village, but it doesn't change the fact that he had all the personality of a dishtowel. And it felt like the developers tried to retroactively explain his passiveness in VII by revealing what he is in Village. This is just my opinion of course, but I don't expect silent protagonists in RE games.
When they say move while aiming, I'm assuming that means aiming and shooting has been properly mapped to L2/R2. If I remember correctly, the 2016 PS4 port still made you hold R1 to aim and X to shoot.
I really hope it's not first person again, but I'll be fine either way as long as we don't get another bland protagonist like Ethan Winters. The fact that he starred in two straight games is downright distasteful.
Yes for me. I just don't have the time to dedicate to mastering a single game's brutal difficulty. In my opinion, difficulty settings should always be there for those who need/want them. Most games that do this will even state which difficulty setting is the developer's recommended/preferred choice, and I see nothing wrong with going this route.
@Godot25 Stellar Blade was revealed during a PlayStation showcase and was quickly announced to be a PS console exclusive due to Sony publishing it. It's not like the the game was announced to be multiplatform, and then suddenly released only on PS as is the case here.
Also, not for nothing but Microsoft purchased two entire publishers so that they can pick and choose what they want to "money hat."
@ApostateMage I think what hurt Andromeda the most were it's overly large planet surfaces which were mostly barren, with repetitive enemy outposts sprinkled in. The game seemed to be taking it's level design from Inquisition, and although it did have interesting elements - like doing missions to raise the planets' habitability and opening up new areas of the map, and upgrading the Nomad was really fun - there were what, only five or six planets to explore?
Plus, I found the world building in Andromeda (the galaxy) really lacking. There were really only two new races, and one of them were similar to the Reapers in how they were made. Overall, it was just the same races from the Milky Way: Humans, Turians, Asari, etc trying to make a new Citadel in a new galaxy. I was really hoping to see a society of new races with their own alliances and conflicts, now upended by the new arrivals.
I agree though, the gameplay was quite fun, and the booster jets made everything quicker, snappier, and added verticality. Definitely not the complete stinker that it's made out to be.
@tabris95 Yeah, it was almost impossible for me to play Alan Wake 2 on the portal, because that game splits the touchpad into two buttons. Very challenging to replicate that on the Portal's touchscreen.
@3Above Vita was an excellent handheld, but it's big mistake - other than the prohibitively expensive memory cards - was the fact that it didn't have L2 and R2 triggers, forcing the rear touchpad to stand in for them.
@dark_knightmare2 I honestly didn't quite understand the hype that DD2 was getting. If I remember, Dragon's Dogma was a bit of a niche title that had a following, but didn't really set the world on fire.
Personally, I hated the wide open levels of Inquisition. They were filled with "do this thing x amount of times", and were a chore to traverse as your character couldn't climb, could barely jump, and your horse didn't actually sprint, as a Bioware developer later admitted. Also, this same level design influenced Mass Effect Andromeda to it's detriment.
Makes me wonder why EA even bothered with the trailer they showed at the Xbox showcase? They had already announced that the game would be unveiled today - all they really did with that teaser was create negative publicity and discourse.
My thing is, PS Studios games almost always go on sale not long after they release. For instance, I got TLoU Part 1 for around $50 during Black Friday, which was only a couple of months after it came out. I'm sure Astro Bot and this Lego Horizon game will be included in some sale down the road too.
I'm genuinely excited for this. As someone who plays Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, it'll be nice to have a police game that's more...gamey, then simulation.
The Last of Us deserves one more sequel, and should focus primarily on Ellie's immunity and the search for a cure. Part 2 didn't really move the story forward, as it was centered on revenge and exploring the same story over the course of three days or so, from two different perspectives. It was very contained and narrow in scope compared to Part 1, and I think a Part 3 should bring back varied locations, not just taking place in one city.
Code Veronica is definitely in need of a remake, but I'd rather see RE1 than 0. Zero wasn't bad, but I think RE 1 is more deserving, considering how important to the overall story it is.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Star Wars Outlaws?
Gave it an 8. I've played around 20 hours so far and, aside from the questionable stealth gameplay, am enjoying it more than the Jedi games

@Westernwolf4 I thought it was Elias Toufexis at the beginning of the trailer, but by the end I wasn't too sure.

The protagonist reminded me a lot of Adam Jensen
