@The_Wailing_Doom Exactly! I often see people trying to compare PlayStation's acquisitions of individual studios that they have worked with - many of which already made PS exclusive games - to Xbox's buying of entire publishers. There's just no comparison.
Uncharted, TLoU, Ratchet & Clank, etc all began on PlayStation and were funded by Sony. They were never on rival consoles, and nor should they be. What Xbox has done is swoop in and buy up whole publishers and then say, "look at all these exclusives we have under the Xbox umbrella!"
@Balosi Microsoft doesn't deserve any credit. Doom, Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls, etc were already multiplatform, and should stay multiplatform no matter who owns Bethesda. Similar to how Bungie announced that Destiny and any future games would remain multiplatform even with the Sony acquisition.
"Sir, why did you just crash into this building?" "No I didn't." "But sir, you're sitting in the driver's seat, and everyone saw you do it." "What are you talking about? I'm not even here."
@Ryu_Niiyama You can play single player with AI teammates, but as of right now, there is no offline mode. That was supposed to be added down the line according to Rocksteady, but who knows at this point.
They should start by releasing a PS5 update for the original. It was ridiculous how they only did a Series X/S version, when the original sold quite well on PS4 while it was a console exclusive. I doubt Xbox would've purchased Ninja Theory if the game had tanked, so why not support those players as well?
@DennisReynolds That's the one thing that was really stupid for Sony to do, I'll agree, but I get the feeling that most of the uproar came from steam users just not wanting to make a PSN account.
Willpower....all this over a PSN requirement. For years EA, Bethesda, etc required their own launchers to be used and I don't remember seeing this level of reaction from the PC community
Honestly, I enjoyed AW2 for the most part, but I didn't love it as much as most reviewers did. After replaying AW1 and willing myself through the endless repetitive combat encounters, AW2 was a definite improvement. But the whole 'is it real, is it in another reality' element started to grate on me the deeper I got into the game, and I kind of rushed through faster than I usually do just to get it over with. Still, Remedy put their heart and soul into it, and it is genuinely disappointing to me to keep hearing about how much it didn't sell, because overall it is a finely crafted game.
Okay, I definitely do NOT own Fallout 4 outside of PS Plus. When the game was 4.99 last week the store straight up would NOT let me buy it outright, claiming I already owned it. Now that it's back to 19.99, it's letting me go to the checkout screen. What gives?
@zhoont Was wondering this too. I have it through PS Plus, but the UI won't even let me buy the actual game. I tried to click on purchase when it was 4.99, but a menu came up saying I already own the game even though I never bought it
Legion was ok, but I think instead of playing as literally anyone, it should have been a small, fleshed out group of characters that had actually depth and personalities, similar to Watch Dogs 2. The NPCs you recruited just got very repetitive and samey
Although it was fun and of high quality, this was kind of a weird game, as it is basically reimagining of the original, and a tie-in to the unsuccessful film adaptation. Rift Apart is a sequel to Into the Nexus, the last PS3 R&C game
Nice. I'm probably in the minority, but I actually liked the voiced character dialogue system. Playing through Starfield reminded me of how much I dislike the whole "stare at someone in first person and select silent dialogue options" system.
I honestly thought it was going to step out of the shadows back in 2018, when Ubisoft announced that it was bringing back Michael Ironside to play Sam Fisher. Turns out it was just for Ghost Recon Wildlands dlc
@termiki True, but I think it's a game that's designed to be played with others, which is why I said multiplayer centric. It's probably the most high profile Xbox game to come over so far, but I'm not sure that high sales for this will mean high sales for something like Hellblade 2. Although Hellblade sold well on PS4, as did the Bethesda GS titles, so Xbox should already have all the data they need, one would think
@Nei I was wondering that too. The USB drive you find on the body nearby is broken, and I couldn't find any other matching passcodes for that chest.
Also, what's up with that statue near the big ravine? It has clearly marked handholds for you to climb, but there's really nothing at the top to collect.
@DennisReynolds Seriously, the word gets thrown around so much that whatever the original meaning was is long gone. But funnily enough, it tends to get applied to whatever game/movie/show that doesn't have an all white/straight cast
@Bklynst8ofmind I was trying that but it was very inconsistent for me. It'd come up once then not again. I had to finish the game regularly, but every other game works fine
I love mine so far - it's perfect for when I want to sit in another room with my wife and keep playing, and it's definitely better than the tablet and dual sense remote play option I was using before. I do have to point out that Alan Wake 2 was nearly unplayable, at least for me, because it splits up the touchpad into two, and it was incredibly difficult to access the mind palace while using the portal.
@Sanquine Days Gone was a really good game that I think a lot of people dismissed because of TLoU comparisons. I loved continually upgrading the motorcycle and driving around from point to point. Plus the hordes were a fairly unique gameplay element

I enjoyed this game quite a bit even though I never actually finished it. But... wasn't Mad Max in fact, an open world game?
