The next game in the Life Is Strange series has softly been confirmed today, with a full unveiling taking place next week.
The official socials for the franchise have posted a teaser, pointing fans toward a YouTube premiere dated for 20th January 2026:
The teaser video sees two figures walk past the camera, presumably the protagonists Max Caulfield and Chloe Price.
In case you missed it, European ratings board PEGI inadvertently leaked the existence of Life Is Strange Reunion, which is almost certainly the name of this unannounced new game.

If accurate, the game will indeed reunite Max and Chloe at Caledon University.
The response to Life Is Strange: Double Exposure was quite mixed, so it will be interesting to see how this new game lands. Still, let's watch this full announcement first and see where it goes.

Everyone want a multiverse 🙄🙄🙄
The first game was well done, but after that they just fell off for whatever reason 👀
I'm a big fan of these games but would prefer a new story. I hate when they retcon things.
I played all of Life is Strange games aside of Double Exposure.
I only enjoyed Life is Strange and Life is Strange Before the Storm. Life is Strange 2 and True Colors were disappointing. Didnt bother for Double Exposure so my intrest for another one is rather low.
Should've stopped after True Colours because that was the best one.
Still surprised the series is going, all I see is complaints after the sacred cow that is the OG. Ive enjoyed every game in the franchise and will prob enjoy this as well. They have a certain kind of atmosphere that I cant find anywhere else.
In my mind, the canon ending is the one where Arcadia Bay is saved. Chloe's fate in that scenario makes the ending much more powerful I think, but I'll definitely be seeing what this is all about.
@Can-You-Believe-Sith I agree to an extent. Although actually I think Life is strange true colors is the best one, with the original just behind
I wish after 1 and Before the Storm they had just stuck with keeping the series an anthology. I loved LiS 2 and True Colors and want to see new characters with different abilities.
I stopped playing after Life is Strange 1, started to play both 2 and Before the Storm but got distracted by other stuff.
I do plan to eventually complete both games and play through the others though.
frankly i dont much like Chloe as a character and max is dull as ditch water.
the sequel they set up from double exposure im not interested in at all
1) life is strange
2) true colours
3) before the storm
4) double exposure
5) life is strange 2
If it's a sequel to Double Exposure then I still don't see how they can bring Chloe back for the players whose Chloe no longer exists. I guess through time travel shenanigans or alternate reality stuff(?), but that would cheapen it to me personally. It'll still be interesting to see regardless.
I’ve still got Double Exposure to finish, and I never clicked with 2.
But the first, before the storm and True Colours are fantastic, and all had moments that strongly resonated emotionally with me - in ways few things have.
It’ll be great to see Chloe again, as long as it doesn’t negate the impact of the first game. The comics handled it well though, wonder if they’ll follow suit
