Swedish studio MachineGames is best in class when it comes to knocking out Nazis, and fresh from the critical success of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it looks like it’s turning its attention back to Wolfenstein.
The dev previously worked on the acclaimed efforts Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, of course – and word comes way of both Windows Central and Kotaku that a third full-length game is currently in the works.
The team did lose its way a bit with the co-op focused Wolfenstein: Youngblood, but this seemed to coincide with a time of turmoil within Bethesda, prior to its acquisition by Microsoft. We’re going to chalk that one down to a misstep, then.

Obviously, given the nature of this report, there’s no real information beyond the fact that the project is in-development. It’s not the first time we’ve heard a new Wolfenstein is on the docket either.
Given that Indiana Jones only just released at the tail-end of 2024, and then was ported to the PS5 last year, we wouldn’t expect this one until at least 2027 at the earliest.
But are you down for a new Wolfenstein? Fire off freely in the comments section below.
