@NinjaNicky Ah. I played the original back on Vita way back when and remember it being ridiculously difficult. Been tempted to jump into this one though - the new mechs/exosuits look really cool
This is actually pretty cool. Reminds me of that show Pitch back in like 2015 about young pitcher who becomes the first female player in Major League Baseball.
Congrats to the devs, but I'm a little confused but this series. What was the game that came out a few months ago, The Man Who Lost his Name? Was that a side story/smaller scale game?
Kind of interesting how they casually revealed that Batman is alive in the game. If I recall, he supposedly blew up at the end of Arkham Knight, and the bonus scene for completing the Riddler puzzles was fairly ambiguous. Hopefully the story offers some explanations
I've streamed my PS5 to a tablet before and it's an absolute pain to deal with. If you're not sitting down at a table, it becomes very uncomfortable to play very quickly.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this news. Black Ops 2, in my opinion, is one of the greatest campaigns in the franchise. It was the first game to feature loadouts (for the campaign), had branching storylines, was fairly solid in length with a decent amount of replayability, and the plot wasn't convoluted unlike Black Ops III. Hopefully Treyarch (if they're the ones making it) take their time with it and deliver a solid follow-up campaign to one of the best, and an overly brief one like B.O. Cold War
I get that Christopher Judge works in the video game industry, but he's an actor, not a developer. So not really a peer. And besides, he wasn't wrong. Activision had the gall to charge $70 for what is basically MW2 dlc. We know it is because the trophy listing proves it
Didn't the devs initially say they were going to put certain players/users into the story? Maybe that explains the random NPC? It did say the character was played by someone called CrimsonRain722
As far as the developer being Chinese, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the CCP mostly discourages male characters that appear efeminine, not overly feminine female characters. Again, I could be way off here
I tried the Equalizer 3 on this app, and the image was significantly darker than it was in the theater. I normally use Vudu/Movies Anywhere and I never have this issue
The last few times I tried to jump into Aliens Fireteam Elite, I couldn't matchmake with anyone. And because it has a gear score system, it's hard to progress further into the story
I hope they address the weapon upgrade system at some point. It can be a slog to constantly dismantle gun after gun to acquire the green, blue, purple, then orange components. And when you make the upgrade, the improvement is fairly minimal. For instance, upgraded an iconic smart assault rifle for 75 orange components and all it did was increase the damage from 29 to 33
The only real bug I've encountered is when I was breaking open one of the Sandman rocks - the camera snapped from first to third person, and I was frozen in place as the dialogue played. A quick checkpoint reload solved the problem, but unfortunately I had to fight the sand guys all over again
It's unfortunate to hear about even more layoffs, especially at Telltale, who've had a rough few years. Is there any word on the bonus episode of The Expanse that came with the deluxe edition? I don't believe a release date was ever announced.
@MaikonCSGarcia Because it was Ninja Theory's IP, and again, it sold well during it's initial PS console exclusivity. One could argue that had it tanked on PS4, Microsoft may have been reluctant to even acquire Ninja Theory.
My point is, going along with the topic of this article, why not thank initial adaptors - or those who purchased the game on PS/Switch in the case of Cuphead - with the same updates across the board? I'd be saying the same thing if only a PS5 upgrade was released and not a Series X/S one. Microsoft could've even charged a small upgrade fee if they wanted to, for the Hellblade update.
Plus, Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76 continue to receive the same expansions as the other platforms, even though Microsoft owns them
Idk why but this reminds me of how Ninja Theory released the next gen update for Hellblade exclusively for Xbox and PC, even though the bulk of their initial sales and support came from the PlayStation community. I realize they'd been bought by Microsoft by that point, but still
People will probably disagree, but I wish Sony had made an attempt to purchase the Tomb Raider IP when it was available, as apparently Square Enix was selling it's western IP for a relatively low price
@rjejr I'll never forget when Cyberpunk went gold...and was then delayed a month, then launched in a terrible state. Since then, that phrase doesn't hold the same weight in my opinion
@Splat Usually I prefer third person to first if you're playing as a noteworthy character, but I'm not sure if it would work for RoboCop. He doesn't move super quick or use cover, so you'd just be walking/sprinting forward with your arm outstretched, shooting guys. Plus with first person you get the RoboCop hud as well with the targeting system
I blame EA for much of this. From mandating the unsuitable Frostbite engine to shoehorning microtransactions and monetizable multiplayer modes into what should be a single player RPG, it's clear that their constant meddling has had quite the negative effect on the once great Bioware

Re: Incoming Helldivers 2 PS5 Patch Adds Planetary Hazards, Rebalances Weapons, More
Should they be nerfing stuff? Haven't played the game yet, but from what I've heard, a lot of the enemies are overpowered

I got a 2TB SSD as soon as that update went live for everyone

@AldusRavencorn I thought the same thing too 🤣
Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Could Be PS5's Best Sports Game Yet
It's interesting how they'll try to monetize this, considering an ultimate team style system should be off-limits with college athletes
Re: Rumour: Call of Duty Games Will Feature Open World Campaigns Starting This Year
This is bad - very bad. Expect to see lots of recycled environments and a litany of forgettable campaign missions.
Re: Xbox Set to Announce Multi-Platform Plans Next Week
@Neither_scene From what I remember, it was Xbox fans who were celebrating PlayStation's demise after the ABK acquisition.

Re: British Army's Fortnite Recruitment Campaign Retreats in the Face of Gamer Backlash
Not surprised. Fortnight is basically a vehicle to advertise other brands/franchises, so why not a military as well
Re: Suicide Squad Episodes, Characters, and Locations Coming After Launch
@JokerBoy422 Yeah, Agents of Mayhem is literally the first thing I thought of when I saw the initial gameplay. Definitely not a good thing
Re: Suicide Squad Episodes, Characters, and Locations Coming After Launch
I feel exhausted just reading about this roadmap.

Re: God of War Creator Says Kratos Has Lost His Way
Kratos pretty much killed everyone in GoW 3, there weren't many avenues left to explore
Re: GTA 6: Everything We Know So Far
@MasterEMFG Yeah that's true, unfortunately
Re: GTA 6: Everything We Know So Far
It's kind of ridiculous how secretive the video game industry is. I mean, we don't even know who the voice actor is that's playing Lucia
Re: Disney Doesn't Think It Was 'Overly Exclusionary' to Cut Planned PS5 Version of Indiana Jones
Xbox is one of the biggest marketplaces for games? I thought it was an underdog to the mighty PlayStation?

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Release Date Will Indeed Be Revealed Today
Still no release date for Pragmata though, a game revealed at the PS5's initial reveal

I would've preferred if they just remastered the original MW3 campaign to complete the trilogy

Eww no thanks. Hopefully this is just a spin-off like FC Primal was
