Regarding Sega yea idk what the hell they’re doing but we will know they’re sitting on hundreds of classic arcade titles I would easily pay $10 per for most of them! I don’t get it!

As a collector, I will always prefer to buy physical games over digital whenever possible unless:
It’s only available digitally.
Disc requires any partial or full downloads and what’s the point except for having the box art.
“Online mode and/or account is required”
The Digital version is dirt cheap so I don’t get screwed that bad one day when they shut it all down.
Problem sometimes is that the publishers release a digital version and then 6 months later they announce a physical version and that never helped physical sales. Not everyone can afford to double dip! But even when I buy digitally I look out for “offline only” (purchase) or “online and/or account required” (no purchase) because as we all know once those servers are killed that’s that.
I also feel that after the Covid lockdown people just stopped hopping into their car to go to GameStop, Best Buy etc and really accelerated the transition to digital over physical. That all said again, physical will always be my preferred choice whenever possible and now it seems those days are numbered! 🙄🤬
Of course it’s not going away! You wanna make the ps6 all digital then fine just make a separate disc drive attachment like PS5 and let us vote with our wallets. Press the game discs but just make less copies than you normally would do.
As an added thought and of course wishful thinking on my part, I would EASILY pay 2 GRAND for a PS6 right off the bat IF it played ALL previous PlayStation system disc libraries all the way back to psone!! THAT would definitely be worth my money and I’d probably buy 3 of them over time LOL 😝 one can dream!

Another terrible non consumer friendly decision Sony made here! I’ll just bet the use of emulation is going to spike big time. As it is I have a few emulated Genesis mini and SNES/Nes and OG Xbox consoles with thousands of classics that wouldn’t normally be available today due to licensing restrictions etc. Say what you want but it’s really the only way to enjoy most games you grew up with that simply aren’t available anymore and NEVER will be again.
All I know is the Dishonored series was absolutely fantastic! Omg loved it so much and was always looking out for a new entry! Such a shame! Here’s hoping everyone at all studios lands on their feet!
I was so looking forward to a physical copy just like Forza 6. I don’t understand why they would bother to make a box and ship to stores then and incur the cost?? There’s no reason why the entire single player campaign cannot fit on the disc! NO SALE!! Might as well but it digital! Ridiculous
I’ll say this- takes forever to look over all the games in a big sale so if Sony cuts out 1000 crappy games out of the picture hopefully that makes browsing the sales a lot less time consuming!!
For many when GTA 6 hits it’s not gonna matter to much for a while and I like the Battlefield series better anyway for online. And I have my ps5 in one room and my ps4 in my basement. PS4 imo cannot be forgotten just yet being such an amazing console.

@Northern_munkey yea the rally games some are just ok - the series will never match the quality of the Dirt series imo. Dirt 5 is amazing! Steel Rising is wild! If you like FPS games give the Robocop games a whirl lol.
Say what you want about Limited Run but I just keep ordering games from them!! Are they expensive? Yea you can make that argument but if you can’t find these games anywhere else outside of modding, it’s totally worth it to me! And this Marvel package here is a DAY 1 for sure!!

Well the Atari 7800 is getting lots of new games today and that system launched 40 years ago come next year. lol PS4’s installed base is so huge it still cannot be ignored by developers today.
Wow! Prize Fighter was my second favorite FMV game to Night Trap on Sega CD! Had a lot of fun with this one so this will be a day one. This is when I can appreciate Limited Run! Road Avenger & Time Gal next please!

Well I don’t think it was that bad but my question is WHY isn’t Sega handling these games themselves especially after pulling all their classic games down recently?? This is a great franchise that like many others, deserves full attention from Sega not to farm it out to other developers to do half baked.
overall I’m happy with it but just feel the amount of maps in mp was very limited in variety and quantity. So therefore a bit repetitive imo. And yea to you older gamers losing your sharp skills with age, I feel you big time. Man is my reaction time terrible lol.
Give me a single player offline campaign any day of the week. For me it’s more immersive and I can pause the game and step away any time to eat, bathroom breaks etc In fact I’m hearing Battlefield 6 campaign is supposed to be the best one yet so looking forward to that!

Maybe the new Atari can swing it since they’re collaborating with Warner Bros on the new Mortal Kombat collection and supporting the 7800 console again with fresh titles! That would be awesome! 😎 🙏

I still own Fire Shark, Grindstormer, Hellfire, Twin Cobta & Truxton on Genesis. All great shooters! And I WILL be picking up Tiger Heli for the Atari 7800 when that drops. Needless to say, I’m all in on these physical editions!! Day 1 😊

Gotta show your support and appreciation for that!
