Xbox Teases More Forza for 2026, and the 'Return of a Classic' 1

It sounds like the successor to Forza Horizon 5 is revving its engine and getting ready for a 2026 release. While we’ll still need to wait and see if it launches day-and-date on the PS5, the success of the current game on Sony’s console suggests it will.

“Players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War: E-Day, and the return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning,” Microsoft Gaming chief Phil Spencer said during his closing speech.

There have been strong rumours that Playground Games has been readying its Fable reboot for a day one release on PS5, while many believe Gears of War: Reloaded’s debut on Sony’s system is setting the stage for E-Day.

With regards to the “classic that’s been with us since the beginning”, we assume Spencer is referring to his company's Halo: Combat Evolved remake, which has also been widely rumoured for PS5.

So, there’s potentially lots to look forward to in 2026 here.
