Finally, something good I haven't already bought, but wasn't tempted to buy, seems spot on as a PS + game, hope it's true.

Love Zoink! games, bought all of the others so far, looking forward to this.

Isn't the tree stump in the video the same one from the PT promo shot? I think that was an area in Japan that translated to silent hills, so while that's not indicative of the actual game it's a nod to the area Kojima was referring to before.
Pretty sure he's up to his tricks again.

Yep Sony really should have followed Microsoft's lead.

Not at all. They should have made the best experience available to anyone just as Sony should in similar circumstances, I disagreed with the exclusivity agreements for Death Stranding and FFXVI etc.
If they want to support the games support them for all and if they have enough confidence in their consoles or infrastructure then customers will gravitate to it on their own merits rather than holding things hostage.

It's likely they already had legally binding agreements they couldn't default on.

If they really did want to support the game then they should have made it equally available to all and recouped their costs with profit on all formats. Sony should do the same when they choose to buy or support a developer's vision.
If there weren't legal issues stopping them from not releasing to PS4 backers they wouldn't have and if there's a third game it's likely to be ringfenced. If you think that's reasonable then it says enough

They didn't own Doublefine when they were getting money off the public to get Psychonauts 2 off the ground.
Microsoft must have really had to go out of their way to find the loophole that means PS4 backers will get their copies delayed. That's just mean and another example why these companies buying studios or exclusivity agreements to ring fence games and/or release dates is completely anti-consumer.
I really don't understand why people in this day and age support this and act like Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo are like their favourite football team. This behaviour affects us all adversely.

So #@&* annoyed this isn't going to be getting a full PS5 release, hate when Microsoft and Sony lock off things from other console owners. Scummy behaviour.

It's the 25th anniversary this October, they could have planned better than that.

That was terrible, from the phone based nonsense, the lack of more FF XVI info and Life is Strange upgrades instead of a Tomb Raider anniversary announcement it was extremely disappointing, just like the whole of E3 so far. I suppose we have the success of Soulsbourne games and the failure of Cyberpunk, mixed with unimaginative heads of games companies that there's a huge amount of overly serious dark high fantasy games over the next 5 years or so.

Learnt my lesson by after that VR game, unless they do an upgraded boxset of the Anthology I'm not touching it.

Would love this to reduce in price in time for my birthday, but ain't gonna happen, even if they released Final Fantasy VI HD remake tomorrow I wouldn't pay £70....

...well actually I would, but it would take that for me to actually pay that much for a game.😁

I disagree. In my experience, when I get the warning my controllers usual shut off within 60 seconds or so and when I try again they immediately turn off.

This and Scorn have been the only Xbox games I've been interested in since the 360 days, was excited to hear this was coming to PS5 but judging by the comments in here it doesn't seem to be very good. Bit disappointing.

I'll wait a year or so for the physical copy to go down in price then, rather than get the free upgrade and buy the DLC.

With FFVII: EVER CRISIS coming out on mobile, I'd seriously doubt it's CRISIS CORE.
My guesses would be World of Final Fantasy 2 and a remake of the original Tomb Raider that follows on from the reboot trilogy.

I hope it comes out on PS5 and they don't announce later that a current gen version is being limited to the Xbox consoles.

Within 12 months if people show a bit of restraint.

That's a seriously hard pass from me then.

@Wickerman Because of the game design you couldn't have a PS4 port that would be playable to any real degree.

You need a "YES....but not for £69.99" option.

Have it a few goes but it was boring and souless.

Another bad month for me again. No interest in any of those games.

I'm not supporting £70 games and I'm disappointed that so many responses showed that they will. If £70 games are a success they'll only try and increase them even more.

Seems a waste of resources, would prefer if they merged PS+ and Now or at least had a small selection of retro games from Now integrated into + and changed bi-monthly or quarterly.

Loved Oddworld when it first came out, but the creator's grand vision has changed every time a cheque has been waved in his face.
Terrible month, double boring Zombies and another remake of a dated cashcow 90's game.

How can you play it for free? It's only showing as discounted on the PlayStation store.

It suits being on Switch, I don't know if I would have bought it on a PlayStation console if it had released on both at the same time, but at least there's a possibility more people might be able to play it.

Sounds like they were contract-bound to make any upgrade different to a certain degree to enable it to go on PS5 and Series X, similar to remastering an album after a record contract ends.
Doubt it's because they've thought so far ahead that they need this as a prologue for her.

I just wonder if the commisioned batch of remastered games that Squenix was talking about recently, might be the original trilogy because of the anniversary.

I had no problem playing Driveclub on PSVR, in fact if you stick on the replay and stand up, you go through the roof of the car and can sail around, arms wide, like you're in Titanic the movie 🤣

I've bought one single £70 PS5 game new, Spider-Man Ultimate edition....but I paid £40 for it off eBay.

I want an option to display your surrounding when pausing, so I don't have to take the headset to look about or have drink 😁

Most derivative trailer I've ever seen.
They've literally added nothing original themselves, the title rips off Resident Evil and then they just badly recreated the hall from PT with added generic scary clown and chucked the well and girl from the Ring for good measure. Nobody should reward that with money.

I'm just wondering if it's partly the original game underneath the fancy graphics.
Also I think the original demo had Aerith and summons in the first reactor. Maybe it's a nod to that.

It was a mostly terrible soundtrack and all of the cover versions of Uematsu's originals were pretty disrespectful.

So aside from the ps5 upgrade, further fragmentation to increase profits? I don't like it. I would rather have seen the efforts put towards part 2 and any extra 'episodes like this added in a combined ps5/Xbox Series X box set when they complete the game.

With the Oddworld ps+ announcement tying into Ryan saying about how they know the fans love new games for ps+, prob is a distraction meaning March will be a poor selection.

Just fixed the heating, so toasty warm for the first time this week, also taking a break from Sackboy on PS5 to finally start Borderlands the Legendary Collection.
P.S. Sammy, ditch the sports games and start delivering packages! 😁

Maybe take Sony to task a bit more, you also have a tendency to overly defend them when they're being criticised in the comments.
