I'd normally pick a new one over a remake, but Rebirth pips it for me as I'm not a fan of the High Fantasy FFXIV aesthetic.

Final Fantasy for me, no interest in Dragon's Dogma. That said it's only 10 mins long, so unless it's 5 2 minute trailers that are all awesome with a surprise release date for something big, I think it's going to disappoint.
Edit: A 'World of Final Fantasy' sequel would be nice though.

The whole reason it came about was because SquareEnix (or soft if it was pre merger) shared a building with Disney and it all came about in a conversation in the lift with two of the top executives saying "wouldn't it be good to have a game with Disney characters and Final Fantasy characters?"
So that's EXACTLY the basic concept behind the series.
Nomura saying it wasn't is just him saying that he doesn't want to do it as it interferes with his convoluted vision.

I paid £38 which I thought was a fair price under the circumstances, just wish it had a physical release.

First game was ok, but had no interest in a sequel regardless of the story.

Similar idea, you find something and it's a type of item/weapon/armour of varying power, usually something you've seen before.
Bring back the days of working hard on side missions to get a definitive upgrade.

The start of the loot box nonsense, but aside from that it was great.
Started Odyssey afterwards, couldn't get into it, no interest in Valhalla at all after that.

Oddly a bit disappointed by the lack of VR2 info, but overall very solid, and loved FFXVI and while I'm disappointed by the release date, I think they mean to stick to it.

The point was if enough people start buying into the subscription model it would hasten the inevitable move to streaming terminals.
They would then have everything streaming including PS5 games with the money saved from having those units instead of chip heavy consoles.

Well If they can force production now, and lose a bit of money but get enough people on board PlayStation+ Platinum then I guess a future PS5 pro or PS6 streaming unit could cut back on costs and production of chips.
I'd hate to see that though

If enough people sign up for PS+ platinum then I'd say that's very likely, that's why I hope it fails.

Another reason for me not to bother with it, I'm regularly offline for more than a week.

People have spent over a century perfecting it, so unless you spend no time in any medium you're still locked in to some degree.

There's only so many gaming hours in your life and while it's nice to revisit old games either on disc or via a sub service I'd prefer the effort was spent either improving the game or on something new. Not on a reward system to keep gamers locked into the same game for longer than necessary.
I mean, it's all a mind trap regardless but don't take the piss.

That's fine, it's a factual statement.
I was just expressing my disappointment at the lack of a named lead character since I like the franchise and played almost all the HP games. I'm not a fan of it in JRPGs either, but there's plenty of other games I can play instead. I'm not demanding them to be cancelled, if other people like yourself enjoy games where you can fully customise an avatar then that's good.

Aside from anything else, I can't say I'm a fan of games without a defined main character.
So as much as I really love the setting, I'll give this a miss.

Can't say I've any interest in it and think the time and effort could have been better spent on something new.
A tiny spiteful piece of me kinda hopes it doesn't sell as much as Sony want it to.

My point is that it's very wasteful so many people downloading the whole game, for 2 hours worth of content. It's better to just have a small section as a demo for those developers who want to do that.
Unfortunately it seems normal demos will cease to exist and so you will be forced to pay to demo a game, it's bad practice.

Sounds very wasteful of resources, both drive space and electricity, just for a 2 hour demo of a game you might not even like.
Plus won't it mess with the stats they get from the trophies as with some games you get a trophy for practically just loading up the game.

I'm pretty much convinced it's going to be terrible and I haven't lost out on much by not ever subscribing to Now or renewing the one year PlayStation plus sub when I got my PS5.
I don't even think the people who've stacked on either service will probably get much great for the first 12 months either.

Exactly that, but that's a no brainer as it's an external source they can just recoup revenue from.
The lack of any future potential of inbuilt backwards compatibility like previous consoles is sabotage pure and simple.
It always goes back to his idea of wanting to sell the same thing multiple times instead of using that to back up a userbase to purchase future content.
It seems to me a method that will ultimately stagnate things long term.

I liked the adaptive trigger addition, but it's too chunky and my hands were in a lot of pain the first few months, the dual shock 4 had a better shape.

Waste of time, only thing that even slightly interested me was Forspoken and it's been delayed.
And as for the Square Enix games at the end, another strategy game with a medieval setting and while I understand fans of the Valkyrie games might be pleased, it looks like yet another gritty medieval game with large bosses. Those bloody Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring games and the people who won't shut up about them have a lot to answer for.

No it won't, I played it when it came out on the PS3 and have no intention of buying it again. I would only be interested in a GTA 6, but I don't think they're capable of making anything good enough to stand alongside the previous games anymore.

Another terrible month, nothing in there to make me resubscribe.

If that's the case they're going to have to do a lot better than that to get me to resubscribe.

Going to wait for a complete version like the first game.

Regarding the PSVR PS5 Adaptor, it seems some scumbags (probably the same enterprising types who use bots to buy all the PS5s and sell them on eBay at twice the price) were applying for the adaptor using other people's serial numbers.
I applied and was told my number had already been used, I eventually got one, but only from spending loads of time on hold and multiple emails, cause I'm THAT damn stubborn.

It's a political thing.
A lot of English people including most games/film/music sites assume U.K.= England.

It's not a UK campaign if it doesn't include Wales and Northern Ireland, this is clearly an English and Scottish advertising campaign.
You would think a division named PlayStation UK would actually know to include all four countries.
