@dnky666 Me and my friends will be the beta testers as we're getting it day one. Also, when you have friends over, one person will wear the headset while the other uses the TV. Its already been confirmed for games like RIGS, which is a multiplayer PVP game from the guys behind Killzone.
I wouldn't consider No Man's Sky a tech demo which has just about been confirmed as Project Morpheus compatible. If it was just a gimmick I don't think so many companies would be investing millions of pounds into VR. Facebook spent how much 1-2 billion dollars purchasing Oculus Rift.
Its not like it was with the Xbox Kinnect. That only had Microsoft behind it. VR has multiple companies getting in on the act. Companies like Valve and HTC, Samsung, Facebook and of course Sony.
I've been lucky enough to try it and I could definitely see the potential and it didn't feel like a gimmick at all.
Aslong as they get the price right and have a few good games at launch, word of mouth and the Internet will sell it no problem. At first the best games will probably come from the indie devs with major studios to follow.
I don't blame SE for not releasing on PS4 until next holiday. If they released it a few months after XB1 it would be going up against the mighty Uncharted 4. Im also kind of glad its not releasing on PS4 this November. Their are too many top games due out over the next few months. It also drops the same day as Fallout 4 which imo is madness. I've already had to push back the purchase of some of the the upcoming games given that their is only so many hours in the day to play. As much as I loved the last Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider would have also been pushed back into 2016 anyway.
Given how many big games Tomb Raider is going up against its going to be interesting to see how well it sells.
Im not sure if im going to get this on release. I still have to many games I need to finish before Fallout 4. Their are loads of games I want that are due out over the next few months, but their aren't enough hours in the day to play them all. I think the only game im going to buy before Fallout 4 is SOMA. Been waiting for that since E3 2013. Its also alot smaller than most games so it shouldn't take long to complete.
With all these amazing games due out over the next few months im not sure when I am going to pick up MGS PP. I guess I should stop wasting time commenting on sites like this and instead work through my backlog of games.
I'll be happy with No Man's Sky as my go to Project Morpheus game. The Assembly looks interesting, but I would need to see more. I didn't like how you couldn't see your characters hands as it makes the experience seem less realistic. Its good to know that alot of studio's are experimenting with VR as the platform is going to need alot of support if its going to be successful.
Aslong as the price of Project Morpheus is right and it has enough good games on its release it should be a big hit and the next generation of gaming. Im optimistic about the future of VR as its not just Sony who are heavily investing, their are multiple companies getting in on the act.
Im definitely excited about the future of VR having been a fan of the technology since the early 1990's. Back then I could see the potential, but the technology wasn't ready and it was far too expensive for the general public. Over two decades later and it really looks like we're their.
I picked up Mafia 2 really cheap in a sale. I hadn't played the previous Mafia so I didn't know what to expect, and seeing as it was dirt cheap, I wasn't expecting much. So it was nice to find that it was actually a really good game. It was one of the only games in that genre that I enjoyed so much I couldn't put it down until I had finished it. I've never even finished a GTA game, as I usually just mess around in the open world.
If I hadn't of seen Mafia 2 on sale at such a low price, I probably would have never tried it.
I am really looking forward to the next iteration and can't wait to see more. From what we saw in the trailer I thought the graphics looked really good and so to did the gameplay.
I gave up 3 days after my purchase. I sold it to a friend who has the platinum trophy and still plays it every day. Infact, thats all he plays. All day until around 4am. He wakes up at around noon and starts playing all over again. He has no job, no life and is depressed. I've tried to get him to leave his room, but he's just not interested.
From my brief time spent playing Destiny I could tell it was a good game. It has good graphics, great feel to it but, for me thats where it ended. I found the story to short and to boring. Their just wasn't enough in it to keep me interested. Everything was a grind with little reward.
If Destiny and No Man's Sky had a baby, that would be game worth spending 2 billion hours playing.
I sold my XB1. Not because I didn't like it or because I thought the PS4 was better. I sold it because I rarely played on it. It was being used primarily as a Sky box. I buy alll the third party games on for PS4, and 95% of my friends went from the Xbox 360 straight to PS4 instead of the XB1, so I didn't really have anyone to game with on it.
I will 100 % get another XB1 at some point, although I might wait until Xmas 2016 as by then it will have more first party games like, Gears of War 4 and various others and it will be alot cheaper, which means that my friends will pick one up as a second console.
Im a massive Halo fan and to be honest, what I have seen on Halo 5 Guardians so far hasn't impressed me. For a first party game and the first Halo on current gen I was expecting to be blown away, just like I was when I saw Uncharted 4, but so far I haven't been. Im sure by next Xmas the XB1 will have some must own games.
Im really looking forward to this game as I loved the first one. Imagine if they made it compatible with Project Morpheus. That would be awesome! Sick buckets at the ready
I think this is great news for the Vita given that Sony have said it won't be getting anymore big first party or AAA games. I have a North American and European account so I'll look forward to trying it soon. I also think $20 a month is still better than £4,99 for 48hrs or £7,99 for 30 days on a single game.
Maybe PlayStation Now & Remote Play is what the Vita needs to boost sales. It could give the Vita a second chance and maybe, just maybe start getting the support it deserves and start to turn things around. I guess time will tell.
I think that if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber you should get the PlayStation Now service for $10-$15 and if your not you pay the full $20 a month.
@Johnnycide @SonyInfinity Did you not play MGS Ground Zero? It was free last month or the month previous to last. If you haven't played it I highly recommend you do, as it'll give you an idea of what to expect from the upcoming Phantom Pain. Im not 100% but I think it gives you some of the back story from the series, though how much I don't know. I also think its a prolog to Phantom Pain too.
I myself won't be picking up MGS Phantom Pain on release as I still have The Witcher 3 along with the upcoming October dlc, Batman AK, Elder Scrolls Online to finish. Mad Max is also due out around the same time as MGS PP and from what I have seen looks pretty good. Their is one game due out in either August or September which I will be getting, and thats SOMA. I've been waiting for SOMA since Amnesia announced it back in 2013.
Once I've finished all the games I mentioned above and Fallout 4, then I will give MGS phantom Pain its own place on my gaming shelf. In regards to MGS Online, im not bothered. I prefer the single player experience in my games. Besides, like @Johnnycide said, it will probably be full of microtransactions knowing Konami.
I read somewhere (may have been Push Square) that the reason Konami got rid of Kojima was because he was spending to much money on MGS PP trying to make it the best he possibly could as this was going to be his last MGS game. They couldn't afford him anymore and as such they will probably try and squeeze every penny out of us through MGS Online and microtransactions.
I never have nor will I ever buy a strategy guide. My ex girlfriend got me a strategy guide for FFVII and I took it back to the store. I understand why people buy them but for me, I like to try and discover everything myself. Besides, if I ever get stuck trying to solve a puzzle or find a collectable, theirs always YouTube or Wikki. Its alot cheaper than spending £20-£30 on a guide.
I also understand that some people like to have them for there favourite games as collectables.
Hello Games Sean Murry said that he wanted the hype for No Man's Sky to die down. The reason behind that was that he feels that hype can be a double edged sword, and I have to agree. He also stated that they purposely only show a select few planets for a reason. He did explain the reason behind that decision, but its slipt my mind.
Im not worried about a lack of story or a traditional multiplayer. Im just looking forward to being able to explore the vast universe that No Man's Sky has to offer and to carving out my own story and adventure. This is a game that I have always wanted since I started gaming some 30 years ago. Just being about to fly through space and land on planets that no man/woman has been to before.
Having this as an optional Project Morpheus game is the icing on the cake.
I think that we'll eventually get the space battles as dlc later on, maybe some time next year. Its surprised alot of us that feature was missing but, knowing DICE they will add it later. After all, it is called Star Wars after all, and it just wouldn't feel right leaving it out.
DICE do some pretty good add ons to there usual series, Battlefield. I remember when they added the Vietnam dlc, my friends and I really enjoyed it!
Besides, adding space battles as dlc is a no brainer from a business point of view. I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed in the meantime.
I've already booked the week off of work for the release of Fallout 4. Im also going for the midnight release too. I did that for Skyrim and played it for 14hrs straight. May have to order a box of Redbull too lol
This is what I love about RPG's, you really get your moneys worth.
@Matroska What about, instead of sailing the open seas in Assassin's Creed BF, you were flying through a whole galaxy filled with countless planets. Ala No Man's Sky, which too, is an indie game.
@irken004 I think its pretty much guaranteed at this point that No Man's Sky will be pushed back to 2016. Infact, its highly plausible that it will be delayed to coincide with the release of Sony's upcoming VR headset, Project Morpheus.
No Man's Sky and Project Morpheus are a great fit for each other, given the nature of the two. If this is the case and No Man's Sky is being delayed to coincide with the release of Project Morpheus, we won't be seeing a release until Q2 2016
To be honest, I think I would prefer it that way as, (1) It gives Hello Games plenty of time to polish No Man's Sky and try to fix as many bugs as possible in a game of thats going to be hard to find most bugs due to its crazy galactic size and, (2) It will pretty much guarantee a day one purchase of Project Morpheus for me and my friends.
Its also possible it will release before Project Morpheus as you won't have to use said device to play No Man's Sky. For me though, I see it as the ultimate experience.
The only time I don't mind Turn Based Combat is in games like Sid Miers Civilization. When I play RPG's I much more prefer to have full control of my character during combat. I never got into the Final Fantasy series because of the Turn Based Combat system. So im all for a change as I could finally get to enjoy FFVII, a game so many friends have loved for years but, I can understand why this decision may upset die hard fans.
I voted Mass Effect because thats the one game I haven't seen anything on. I don't wanna see to much on Fallout as its gonna be out in four months and I'd rather be surprised. We saw far to much on Destiny and by the time it was released I felt fatigued.
@bman2112 But buggy. I've been playing The Golf Club since day 1 and recently its got worse. If they tweaked the MP and fixed the bugs, it would be loads better.
@rastamadeus You make some good points regarding Sony knowing that most people subscribe to PlayStation Plus for MP access, so they don't need to entice us with top games. I also feel like I get more for my money with GWG on XBOX. I've had Rayman Legends & Assassin's Creed Black Flag on XB1. Im also aware that Microsoft have to work for my money as PS4 is smashing the XB1 in units sold.
I must admit that this months PlayStation Plus pleases me as I only own Castle Crashers, a game I got months ago on my XB1. To be honest, most months Plus games don't get me very excited and I now let my subscription lapse from time to time.
The main reason I renew my PlayStation Plus is to play ESO, other than that its not needed as I play alot of F2P games on my PS4, something you can't do on the XB1 without Gold. Infact, you can't even join a party without a Gold subscription, something that Sony is pretty good about.
I guess there's pro's and con's to both subscriptions.
@BoltedArc I think they're working on GOW4. I agree about their being no real difference between the two. To be fair, their isn't enough of a difference between the frame rate either. Yeah the PS4 version stays at 60fps but its not like the PS3 version was chugging along. It was as high as 55fps and as low as 34fps in places. Certainly not worth a re purchase. Definitely worth picking up as a first time purchase though.
@BLPs Its runs better from the hdd. For some reason it can access the information quicker. Besides, its less wear 'n' tear on the BR drive.
It's only making less noise because its new. I've had a couple of the original PS4's and they both started out really quite but got louder over time. I do like the all matt black finish though.
As much as I have enjoyed Minecraft over the years, it would be nice to see some graphics updates, more tools to create your own games. I know the PC has loads more options, but I'd like to see more brought over to console.
I have so many great ideas for my own game world, but unfortunately I am limited by the tools and lack of console mod support.
Maybe Dreams will help me to create the worlds I can imagine. On topic though, this game looks promising.
Regardless of the sacrifices made to get this game running, Fallout 3 was and still is a great game that I can still spend hours playing to this day.
If one game was worth a remaster, its most definitely Fallout 3. People say the Bethedas version of Fallout 3 was buggy and glitchy but, New Vagas which was developed by Obsidian was way more buggy, aspecially early on. Thankfully most of the horrible bugs were patched out.
Their is zero chance of me purchasing this digitally as im sick of running out of hdd space as it is. Besides, as fun as this game is, even with the discount, its not going to be a game im going to want to keep once I've finished it. There're certain games I'll always hold onto and this isn't one of them.
I think I'll just stick with the free version I got through PlayStation Plus. Its a good deal though for those that really liked it and wanted all the dlc.
I'll be to busy playing Metal Gear and Mad Max to have time to play games I have finished multiple times already. Those that missed these games first time around (aspecially Uncharted 2) will be in for a treat, although, compared to the games we're now getting on PS4 these remasters are starting to look a little dated.
Im convinced that No Man's Sky will be delayed until 2016 and release alongside Sony's new VR headset, Project Morpheus. From Sony's point of view (no pun intended) Project Morpheus is a very hard peripheral to sell without being able to try before you buy. Its a very hard experience to explain to someone whose never tried it for themselves.
So packaging No Man's Sky and Project Morpheus together seems like a perfect fit.
Imagine having a device (VR) that transports you to new worlds (No Man's Sky) seems like a great way to sell Project Morpheus to people unsure about the tech, aspecially with the hype No Man's Sky has surrounding it.
Edit- I just noticed that at 58 seconds in the video you see a view through the right side cockpit window. This could just be someone holding right on the analogue stick, or, it could be someone playing No Man's Sky whlist using a VR headset.
Their is a video of the developers at Hello Games on the web and in the video you can clearly see the Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift being played around with by the team.
As much as I want No Man's Sky right now, I am definitely happy to wait if its going to be compatible with and packaged with Project Morpheus. I would also imagine that you would be able to play No Man's Sky without the need of Sony's new peripheral.
It would be nice if we could choose what selection of finishing moves we want Garalt to perform and in a certain order.
Its probably a bit premature since im nowhere near finished (thank god, as I never want it to end) with the main story or side quests, but im really excited to see what CD Projekt Red have planned for the upcoming paid expansions.
I wish they would/could support The Witcher 3 with yearly expansions running at around 30-40hrs a piece. I'd rather that than a new Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty every year.
I am really looking forward to this game. It took a while, but this generation now has some truly great games out and due out over the coming months.
This year alone has seen some great titles and its only going to get better. Trouble is, when do you get to play them all. There just isn't enough hours in the day.
I remember when Fallout 3 released. I took a weeks holiday from work, picked up my copy at the midnight release. I got home around 1:30am installed Fallout to my XB360 hardrive and played it none stop until around midnight the following day. As you can imagine, my girlfriend was not impressed lol.
Before Fallout 4 we get the other massive open world games that is Mad Max and Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain. Then the month after Fallout 4 we get Mass Effect 4. We're also supposedly getting No Man's Sky sometime this year (unless Sony got Hello Games to delay there game for the launch of Project Morpheus) which is going to be ridiculous in terms of the size of the game. You can't even call No Man's Sky an open world game. Maybe an open galactic game would be better suited.
My point is, there're too many big and great games due out so close together and not enough time to play them all. I doubt my boss will allow me to take a years holiday lol. I know what people will say, well you don't have to buy all of them right away, yeah right. I can't help myself. Even if I don't play them all right away, the prestige of having those games on my gaming shelf is getting me excited lol.
If I could only choice one game to purchase and play it would be a very easy call. FALLOUT 4 all the way.
People keep banging on about the graphics not being what they'd hope for or expected. Atleast they aren't doing what Ubisoft did with Watchdogs. Showing us something that looked great and then downgrading the graphics later.
In my opinion, I think Fallout 4's graphics are spot on, and besides, we don't even know how big the world is going to be yet or if there is going to be loading screens when you enter buildings or will it be like The Witcher 3 where there are very few loading screens. Im still surprised CD Projekt Red not only got The Witcher 3 to run on console's, but for it to look great too.
To anyone that sends abusive messages or comments to CD Projekt Red, you need to grow up, you spoilt, petulant, ignorant, immature, poor excuses for a human being. Their is far to much negativity these days towards developers. Its totally understandable to feel upset when you receive a game that you've worked hard to pay for, only for it to be broken. When I say broken, I mean broken like Assassin's Creed Unity was. Do you people believe that by hurling abuse at a studio that it helps other in the same situation or incourages said studio to work harder. If I was a developer that worked at CD Projekt Red and I read some of the abusive comments sent in by ungrateful gamers, it would put me off wanting to give out free dlc and adding requested features post release for free. These developers work very hard on these games for years and alot of the time they don't get to spend that much time with there familys. And how are the rewarded by certain fans, sent abusive and horrible messages.
When I see some of the negativity and the abusive language on forums it makes me feel ashamed to be a part of the gaming community. A community that I have loved for 30 years.
Surely you people (those that are abusive) don't talk to others or behave in that in manner in real life, so why do it online and in a genre we all love. There is enough negativity in the press regarding violence in video games. Don't help these people by proving what morons you and allowing them to believe we're all aggressive & abusive which is coursed my gaming.
Just like these stupid and pointless console wars or PC master race crap. We alll have something in common, we all love gaming and as such, we should share in that joy and get along.
And by the way, no, im not a tree hugging hippie lol. I am just sick of all the negativity in the world and the last place I wanna see/hear it is in gaming. A medium I use to chill, have fun and meet like minded people.
I received the patch a few days ago, Friday I think. I have definitely noticed some improvements in various areas but, I have also noticed some negative issues too. The main issue being, when I enter the inventory screen my swords, amour, potions and crafting materials will sometimes take several minutes to load in. I've also noticed the same issue on the ingame inventory radial. I took around 3 minutes for the potion and bomb images to load in which is a little annoying given that I really needed to know which bombs I had setup in the radial. I've also noticed that from time to time the edges of the screen will go all blurry all of a sudden. That issue seems to happen the most. In regards to the frame rate, I thought it was alot more solid in the areas that usually course the dips, thought to be honest, I rarely noticed frame rate dips before the update. I have never been great at noticing frame rate dips in any game, unless its a major did. I guess thats a good thing where I am concerned.
I am just happy we finally got the loot boxes and they removed the weight of ingredients for crafting. Its surprising how much of a difference it makes.
I would like to know what the alternative movement for Garalt is as I haven't been able to notice any changes to his movement or the controls. If anyone knows how/what it changes I would really appreciate any info.
The Witcher 3 is still my favourite game so far this gen, well, atleast until I get Fallout 4 that is.
@get2sammyb You've basically taken the words out of my mouth. While in some games, micro transactions can ruin the core experience by either making it a pay to win or by just taking away the fun of unlocking certain items through achieving certain goals and actually playing it as games were played in my day...
In the case of Street Fighter V, I think its the perfect evolution of the series, just as long as its fair and balanced.
Games have/are going through changes of late. Some studios going F2P, some breaking there games into episodic downloads and othe remaining traditional.
All I want is to feel like I am getting value for my money an not have content held back just to squeeze an extra few pounds out of me later on.
Lets hope that Capcom can set a good example for other studios who choose to add micro transactions into there games in the future.
I definitely think that this could be a perfect evolution of Street Fighter series and similar games. I guess time will tell.
Oh, and to answer your question about, are we going to jump back into The Witcher? I rarely leave. I do play a bit of Batman and ESO but, The Witcher is my favourite PS4 game thus far, well, atleast until I get my hands on Fallout 4 that is
I've been having an issue recently where even though I had around 14gb free space The Witcher wouldn't download the 7.5gb update file. Im not alone either as a few of my friends have noticed the same issue with there's. It never used to do that untill very recently. Anyone else been having this issue?
Thats good to here as I've finished the all the series on hard, which to be honest, weren't all that hard, well apart from one or two parts.
I had recently restarted Uncharted 2 on crushing mode but, I think I'll leave that untill the remasters.
It would be nice if we had the option to start on crushing mode instead of unlocking after finishing on hard. The reason I say that is because Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain is due out soon after and I doubt I'll finish them before that.
I still have The Witcher,Elder Scrolls Online, Batman and a few other that I sill need to finish.
I wish I would hurry up and win the Lottery Jackpot so I can give up work and use my week day to play all the great games we're getting. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me and if I win, I'll take you all to next years E3
No Guerrilla, THANK YOU! You could have easily have taken the "safe route" gone with another Killzone game as alot of people would have expected. When I saw the gameplay for Horizon Zero Dawn I felt like a kid at Christmas lol. Then you shown us all that Sony's Project Morpheus isn't going to be a fad or silly kids peripheral. Infact you've proved my point with your other new ip "RIGS" that VR is something to look forward to.
Now for my worry, which is or could be a possible downside. Just like alot of developers these days, and yes, im looking at you Unbisoft. The games we see to what we get are very different, in the sense that the graphics take a bit of a nose dive from what is usually shown at E3. Watchdogs did it and so did The Witcher 3, although the latter of those still looks great in the graphics department. Killzone 2 was also to blame for doing that.
I know they said that all of the Horizon Zero Dawns gameplay was shown running on a PS4 but development changes over time and certain sacrifices have to be made.
I hope this looks and plays aswell as the gameplay trailer that was shown at E3 is what we get as I cannot wait. If this releases in 2016 then Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn are going to blow the XB1 out of the water.
I know that statement makes me sound like a Sony fanboy but, I can assure everyone that is not the case. I own the XB1 aswell and I haven't seen anything that comes close, not even Gears of War 4 or Halo 5.
I am so happy that Guerrilla have decided to do an open world RPG as those are the games that I feel I really get my moneys worth from.
Just like The Witcher and Elder Scrolls, those games, unlike most can last you month of gaming, which is what I want for my money.
I've been gaming for 30 years and never has gaming felt so good!
So I say again, thank you Guerrilla and all the best in your new adventure into this new territory that you've undertaken.
SEMI SPOILER ALERT- I would love to see what happened in the twenty year gap. Either that or do a story about Tommy, Joels brother.
I loved how invested I got in the main characters. At one point I was begging god to please let each off them live.
They can't do a sequel on Joel or Ellie as it ended just perfect and I would hate anything to ruin that.
Im my opinion, easily one of the best games I have played in my 30 years of gaming. Whilst the gameplay was great, it was the characters, acting, story and world that blew me away. Never have I cared for characters the way I did in The Last of Us. Absolute masterpiece!
I also being a father really helped me develop an emotional attachment with certain characters. The opening sequence just blew my mind. I didn't realise that my mouth was still open from what I had just witnessed until my mouth started to dry out lol.

@get2sammyb How is it pointless?
Re: Gamescom 2015: Will PS4's VR Headset Project Morpheus Be Expensive?
@freaksloan I think you're wrong about it being a gimmick, but I guess we will know if it is or not by Xmas 2016.
Facebook must see VR as a good investment, otherwise, why would they spend between 1-2 billion dollars purchasing the Oculus Rift.
Re: Gamescom 2015: Will PS4's VR Headset Project Morpheus Be Expensive?
@dnky666 Me and my friends will be the beta testers as we're getting it day one. Also, when you have friends over, one person will wear the headset while the other uses the TV. Its already been confirmed for games like RIGS, which is a multiplayer PVP game from the guys behind Killzone.

Potential game of the year?
Re: Gamescom 2015: Lara Croft's Next Adventure Likely Won't Be Late on PS4
I don't blame SE for not releasing on PS4 until next holiday. If they released it a few months after XB1 it would be going up against the mighty Uncharted 4.
Im also kind of glad its not releasing on PS4 this November. Their are too many top games due out over the next few months. It also drops the same day as Fallout 4 which imo is madness. @teknium_ it does if you have the adapter, not that this is PS4 footage.
Re: Gamescom 2015: Ubisoft's Still Trying to Flog The Crew
Are the going to add an update that makes it fun I found it boring driving across country. I also didn't like how the cars handled.
Re: Gamescom 2015: Metal Gear Solid V's New Gameplay Trailer Is Bloody Good
Im not sure if im going to get this on release.
Re: Gamescom 2015: The Assembly for Project Morpheus Has Plenty of Potential
Re: Gamescom 2015: Here's Your First Look at Mafia III Gameplay on PS4
Re: You've All Spent Far Too Much Time Playing Destiny, Some Would Argue
Re: Reaction: Did Xbox Make Its Gamescom 2015 Presser Pay?
Re: Reaction: Did Xbox Make Its Gamescom 2015 Presser Pay?
@viciousarcanum I've always wanted a sequel to Halo Wars. Me and some of my friends loved the first one.
Re: Gamescom 2015: Have a Little Faith in This Mirror's Edge Catalyst Clip
Im really looking forward to this game as I loved the first one. Imagine if they made it compatible with Project Morpheus. That would be awesome! Sick buckets at the ready
Re: PlayStation Now Subscriptions Shrunk Down to PS Vita
Re: You Won't Be Able to Take Metal Gear Solid V Online Until October
Re: Soapbox: Why I Love Strategy Guides
I never have nor will I ever buy a strategy guide. My ex girlfriend got me a strategy guide for FFVII and I took it back to the store. I understand why people buy them but for me, I like to try and discover everything myself. Besides, if I ever get stuck trying to solve a puzzle or find a collectable, theirs always YouTube or Wikki. Its alot cheaper than spending £20-£30 on a guide.
I also understand that some people like to have them for there favourite games as collectables.
Re: Here's Everything You Need to Know About No Man's Sky Barring a Release Date
Re: Star Wars: Battlefront Prepping New Mode for Take Off
I think that we'll eventually get the space battles as dlc later on, maybe some time next year.
Re: Fallout 4 Will Take You Over 400 Hours to Fully Finish
I've already booked the week off of work for the release of Fallout 4. Im also going for the midnight release too. I did that for Skyrim and played it for 14hrs straight. May have to order a box of Redbull too lol
This is what I love about RPG's, you really get your moneys worth.
Re: Soapbox: Why PS4's Indie Influx Isn't as Bad as You Think
@Matroska What about, instead of sailing the open seas in Assassin's Creed BF, you were flying through a whole galaxy filled with countless planets. Ala No Man's Sky, which too, is an indie game.
Re: Development on PS4 Teen Horror Until Dawn Is Done
@deathvalleydemon I think its actually closer to Heavy Rain & Beyond Two Souls.
Re: Rumour: Mighty No. 9 May Say Nein to 2015 Release
Re: Turn-Based Battles Could Be Scrapped for PS4's Final Fantasy VII Remake
The only time I don't mind Turn Based Combat is in games like Sid Miers Civilization. When I play RPG's I much more prefer to have full control of my character during combat.
I never got into the Final Fantasy series because of the Turn Based Combat system. So im all for a change as I could finally get to enjoy FFVII, a game so many friends have loved for years but, I can understand why this decision may upset die hard fans.
Re: Feature: 10 PS4 Games We Want to Learn More About at Gamescom 2015
I voted Mass Effect because thats the one game I haven't seen anything on. I don't wanna see to much on Fallout as its gonna be out in four months and I'd rather be surprised. We saw far to much on Destiny and by the time it was released I felt fatigued.
Re: Review: EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (PS4)
@bman2112 But buggy. I've been playing The Golf Club since day 1 and recently its got worse. If they tweaked the MP and fixed the bugs, it would be loads better.
Re: Feature: What Are August 2015's Free PlayStation Plus Games?
Re: Fallout 4's Official Strategy Guide Is Here and It's Bound to Be Hefty
We in the UK finally get something for less than what they pay in NA.
Re: Here's the Difference Between God of War III on PS3 and PS4
@banacheck My point was, it wasn't worth a re purchase since watching them side by side the difference is negligible.
Re: This Licensed PS4 Controller Is for the PC Master Race
Click bait
Re: Here's the Difference Between God of War III on PS3 and PS4
@BoltedArc I think they're working on GOW4. I agree about their being no real difference between the two. To be fair, their isn't enough of a difference between the frame rate either. Yeah the PS4 version stays at 60fps but its not like the PS3 version was chugging along. It was as high as 55fps and as low as 34fps in places. Certainly not worth a re purchase. Definitely worth picking up as a first time purchase though.
Re: It Looks Like the Lighter, Less Power Hungry PS4 Has Arrived in Europe
@BLPs Its runs better from the hdd. For some reason it can access the information quicker. Besides, its less wear 'n' tear on the BR drive.
It's only making less noise because its new. I've had a couple of the original PS4's and they both started out really quite but got louder over time. I do like the all matt black finish though.
Re: Take Aim at 25 Minutes of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Gameplay
Looks pretty good. One to watch I reckon.
Re: Here's Your First Look at the Minecraft-Like Dragon Quest Builders on PS4
As much as I have enjoyed Minecraft over the years, it would be nice to see some graphics updates, more tools to create your own games. I know the PC has loads more options, but I'd like to see more brought over to console.
I have so many great ideas for my own game world, but unfortunately I am limited by the tools and lack of console mod support.
Maybe Dreams will help me to create the worlds I can imagine. On topic though, this game looks promising.
Re: Weirdness: The Horrific Truth Behind Fallout 3's DLC Train
Regardless of the sacrifices made to get this game running, Fallout 3 was and still is a great game that I can still spend hours playing to this day.
If one game was worth a remaster, its most definitely Fallout 3. People say the Bethedas version of Fallout 3 was buggy and glitchy but, New Vagas which was developed by Obsidian was way more buggy, aspecially early on. Thankfully most of the horrible bugs were patched out.
Re: Already Own Dishonored on PS3? You'll Be Able to Upgrade to PS4 with a Discount
Re: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection's Looking Pretty Darn Smooth on PS4
I'll be to busy playing Metal Gear and Mad Max to have time to play games I have finished multiple times already.
Those that missed these games first time around (aspecially Uncharted 2) will be in for a treat, although, compared to the games we're now getting on PS4 these remasters are starting to look a little dated.
Re: No Man's Sky Discovers a New Gameplay Trailer That's Short but Sweet
Re: Bloody Hell, Your Next Free Witcher 3 DLC Is All About New Finishing Moves
It would be nice if we could choose what selection of finishing moves we want Garalt to perform and in a certain order.
Its probably a bit premature since im nowhere near finished (thank god, as I never want it to end) with the main story or side quests, but im really excited to see what CD Projekt Red have planned for the upcoming paid expansions.
I wish they would/could support The Witcher 3 with yearly expansions running at around 30-40hrs a piece. I'd rather that than a new Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty every year.
Re: Metal Gear Solid V's PS4 Bundle Can Be Pre-Ordered Now in the UK
I think it looks better in its original colour. Other than that, I think the white PS4 looks nice too.
Re: Celebrate the Coming Apocalypse with This Rather Nice Fallout 4 Lithograph
Re: The Witcher 3 PS4 Patch 1.07 Apparently Damages the Game's Frame Rate
Peace out man pmsl
Re: The Witcher 3 PS4 Patch 1.07 Apparently Damages the Game's Frame Rate
Re: Street Fighter V May Be the Most Consumer Friendly Fighter Ever
Re: The Witcher 3's Huge New PS4 Patch Will Be Available Just in Time for the Weekend
Oh, and to answer your question about, are we going to jump back into The Witcher? I rarely leave. I do play a bit of Batman and ESO but, The Witcher is my favourite PS4 game thus far, well, atleast until I get my hands on Fallout 4 that is
Re: The Witcher 3's Huge New PS4 Patch Will Be Available Just in Time for the Weekend
I've been having an issue recently where even though I had around 14gb free space The Witcher wouldn't download the 7.5gb update file. Im not alone either as a few of my friends have noticed the same issue with there's. It never used to do that untill very recently.
Anyone else been having this issue?
Re: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Will Boast a Brutal Difficulty Tier on PS4
Re: Guerrilla Games Thanks the Players for a Very Special E3
Re: Naughty Dog Thought The Last of Us Was Going to Bomb
Re: Grand Ages: Medieval Settles on PS4 in September
@LieutenantFatman Agreed, it is good to see games like this come to PS4. I just hope it turns out to be a good game.
We also have another strategy game coming to PS4 I think called, Anno, which looks really good. Its on PC at the minute.
