Grand Ages: Medieval PS4 PlayStation 4

It looks like niche European publishers such as Kalypso Media are going all in on the PlayStation 4, with Grand Ages: Medieval set to make its console debut on Sony's new-gen system starting 25th September. The real-time strategy release sees you assuming the role of leader in a new European settlement during the High Middle Ages, and it's up to you to make your city thrive by establishing trade routes, industry, and forming an army.

In addition to a complete campaign mode, the release will also feature online multiplayer for up to eight players, while there'll be a wealth of commodities and technologies for you to research as well. Given the era, it doesn't quite have the personality of the recently released Tropico 5 – but we're just pleased to see titles of this type finally making their way to consoles. Can we have a new Rollercoaster Tycoon now, too?

Update (15:00PM BST): As confirmed on the North American PlayStation Blog, the US version will deploy on 29th September.
