Re: God Eater Chows Down on PS4, Vita in 2016

WARDIE

Just sold my Vita. Never got any use anyway. Waste of time buying a £100 plus device with VERY expensive memory card for 99% indie and JRPG's, with the latter not interesting me. I much more prefer my 3DS.

Re: Naughty Dog Really Wants You to Believe That Drake Will Die in Uncharted 4

WARDIE

As much as I would like to watch the trailer im not going to bother. I prefer the good old days of wait and see. I saw far too much of Destiny, The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4. Not going to bother anymore.
From now on, when I get a game it will be 100% unseen footage. Only thing I will check is the review score and just skip the review read.

Re: Attackers Threaten to Take PSN Offline Again This Christmas

WARDIE

Why do people assume its going to be just kids that are going to be disappointed over Xmas. Some of us grown ups only get a few days off of work and actually look forward to getting some overdue gaming in.

Infact I don't understand why anytime gaming is brought up in conversations people usually refer to gamers being children, when in reality the vast majority of gamers these days are adults. I think the average age is something like 25-35.

Im 39 and I've been playing video games since the early 1980's and I will continue to game until im too old and weak to hold a controller.

In regards to the impending Xmas ddos attack, I was saying to my friends that this Xmas will be a repeat of last year. The reason why I knew it would happen again this year is because of two reasons. (1) Its far to easy to implement the "denial of service" when compared to the traditional hack, and as such, any brain dead moron can do it. (2) Because last years ddos attacks were so successful it has encouraged other wannabe "hackers" to make a name for themselves as they know that there is little Sony and Microsoft can do to prevent the attack.

Its inevitable that its going to happen. I just hope PSN and Xbox Live services aren't effected for too long. I know Microsoft got Xbox Live back up alot quicker than Sony did for PSN. Xbox Live has already been seeing these attacks since yesterday.

Re: Attackers Threaten to Take PSN Offline Again This Christmas

WARDIE

Unfortunately to stop a ddos attack you would have to stop all traffic coming into Sony's servers because its basically a massive dater dump that just seems like normal traffic generated by PlayStation gamers and obviously Sony doesn't want to stop all traffic.
Im sure I read somewhere that both Sony and Microsoft were going to work together to combat this very issue. Whether or not they've actually managed sore find a solution only time will tell. This group bringing down PSN and Xbox Live in the guise of pointing out alleged security flaws are talking complete crap as it has absolutely nothing to do with security.
Infact it has more to do with them gaining notoriety.

I feel sorry for all those people that will be getting an XB1 or PS4 for Xmas because it were me I would be very upset. But if it does go down I will just play Fallout 4 or The Witcher 3.

The only way we're ever going to stop these attacks and the people behind them is to give them much larger prison sentences. But we've gotta catch them first.

Re: Review: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PlayStation 3)

WARDIE

I lost interest in COD after BO1. I did pick up AW and I dominated it on multiplayer which is why I probably really enjoyed it. Im not a die hard fan of the series as I always preferred ther faster pace of Crysis 2's Multiplayer. Im really have that cod now feels like Titanfall meets Crysis 2 meets BO3. Im in.

Re: Hideo Kojima Is Allegedly in Talks with Sony

WARDIE

Even if it takes five years it could potentially be a great launch game for the PS5 which would surely help Sony dominate the next generation too. To be fair I think its a match made in heaven.

welcome home Kojima

Re: Relive Dragon Valley with Battlefield 4: Legacy Operations

WARDIE

I recently picked BF4 back up in a PSN sale after trading it nearly two years ago due to all the net coding issues. Im so glad I gave it another try as its a really good game now it works as intended.

I was able to get Premium for £16 which is less than half price and comes with a wealth of content. Its an added bonus getting Dragon Valley for free.

Re: Promising PS4 Exclusive RIME Is Still Alive

WARDIE

The reason why we haven't seen RIME for a long time is because the developers had to do a redesign. When it was first shown people were comparing it to ICO and Zelda but aside from how it looked it was nothing like the two. The studio decided that maybe a redesign was in order because of all the attention the title was getting.

Re: Review: Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)

WARDIE

@ShogunRok Well if thats the case we should either take his reviews with a pinch of salt or wait a couple of years to see if he changes his mind.
Im not trying to be a D but what are we meant to believe.

Re: Sony Santa Monica's Started Teasing a New Title Ahead of PlayStation Experience

WARDIE

I hope Sony finally announce a price for PSVR. I also hope the price isn't something ridiculous. I know this is wishful thinking but I hope its no more than £199. If its priced at £299 I think it will struggle to sell. Only the fans of VR, the hardcore and those with deep pockets will be buying at launch if its too expensive.
If it has a good amount of games and comes with a select few a might pick it up on release. But those games need to be really good if im going to part with £199-£299.

Re: Rumour: Ace Combat 7 May Take Off at PlayStation Experience

WARDIE

@sub12 I don't have people over to my house to play video games. I chill in my games room and socialize online. I understand that not everyone does that so, maybe they shouldn't purchase PSVR. But only if they see it as anti-social.

You know, one could also call smart phones and MP3 players anti-social too, but it hasn't stopped people from using them and ignoring partners/friends lol

Re: Rumour: Ace Combat 7 May Take Off at PlayStation Experience

WARDIE

@themcnoisy You've obviously not tried PSVR or the Rift. Using the Samsung device does zero justice for Virtual Reality. It does alot more than "strap a cumbersome piece of equipment to your face" as you suggest. When done right it transports into your game in ways a television cannot. It has to be experienced to be understood. I have tried multiple devices over the years and its only now and with PSVR and the Rift that we are finally getting the hardware that actually works.

Re: PS4 Game Prices Slashed in European Black Friday PlayStation Store Sale

WARDIE

And I can still get the physical copies cheaper pre owned. Watch Dogs is only £7 in CEX.
While I do like the convenients of not having to switch disks when you only have digital games, I refuse to pay the asking prices. I admit that those are still good prices but, when they aren't on sale I see zero insensitive to buy them when the asking price is usually £55 compared to £40 from places like Tesco and ASDA.

Re: It Looks Like PSN Is Down as Reports Flood In

WARDIE

@godslayer1975 who the F do you think you're calling a baby you ignorant F. So im not aloud to rant about a crap service that I am paying for. Its people like you that have nothing better to do other than give others crap about there point of view.

If PSN is that hard to keep running then maybe Sony shouldn't be the ones running it. I've been gaming for a long time and I have never had so many problems.

By the way, I already own an Atari 2600.

Re: Naughty Dog: Uncharted: Golden Abyss PS4 Not Out of the Question

WARDIE

If they were going to release it on PS4 they should have included it with the Nathan Drake Collection. I have it on my Vita and I enjoy it but, I would not purchase or play it on PS4. That game was not made for the big screen.

I feel that porting Golden Abyss to PS4 would do more harm to the series than good.

Re: It Looks Like PSN Is Down as Reports Flood In

WARDIE

@get2sammyb While I agree that it has been alot better of late, it is still nowhere near as good as it should be. If it were still a free service I could understand, but its not. Its a paid for "premium" service that doesn't deliver anywhere close to the competitions service.

Sony really needs to get these problems ironed out asap otherwise we're going to have repeat performance of last Xmas.

Re: It Looks Like PSN Is Down as Reports Flood In

WARDIE

This is absolutely ridiculous and I am so sick of PSN randomly going down. I don't care how long it has been since it last went down. Sony have had all year to get the service running as intended.

I will not be purchasing anymore games for my PS4 that require a network to play as it has been proven that PS4 definitely isn't the best place to play. From now on im only going to buy single player games on PS4 and I'll get Star Wars Battlefront and Call od Duty BO3 on my Xbox One.

Whats going to happen over Xmas when Lizard Squad decide to attack PSN again. I have zero faith in Sony regarding the PlayStation Network.
