Not the Max Payne remakes first? Huh. Okay then.
Control was an awesome concept grafted onto a kinda boring / distant / tepid game. This looks about the same, but now with a more schlubby / unkempt / Big Mac protagonist. Hoping for a Remedy renaissance after the amazing / stunning / marvelous Alan Wake 2, so praying that I'm wrong / delusional / on crack and this actually turns out great.
Would shadow dropping even work for this? A five years delayed release from a company whose reputation (and market value) is in the toilet? I wanna see some reviews first lads.
@Elodin not really. All the guff still remains. And then the touchscreen + options immersive mode shortcut removes the actually useful part too. And then there's all the menus.
Nah. Impressed by it as a something free, but not for me. Hope you continue to enjoy. 😊
Boycotts like this never work if the game has appeal . . . it's just vocal minorities from the left and right who live on the internet that normal people couldn't give two squirts about. See also, Hogwarts Legacy.
Comrades. Just look forward to consuming new and souless version of thing you used to like. Then wait for next thing without complain. No need for negativity. Be happy.
Quite liked the first one, especially when it came on PS Plus with all the DLC. However, I dont think I've thought about it a single time outside of actually playing it. That, and a satire about the evils of capitalism published by Microsoft? Really?
No. XBox can no longer compete with PS5 and the vapid corpo needs to spin some nonsense to save face so is now like "well I wasn't playing your game anyways so nyeh."
What boggles me is Sony own the company that made this original game 20 years ago and instead of a new sci-fi campaign with galaxy spanning lore, they have them working on Concord 2 or whatever it is.
Last I saw Henry he was running a successful forge in Kuttenberg and had been awake for about 4 weeks straight on that cockerel potion after his frequent sleepwalking all the way to Suchdol became too annoying.
Sounds like just the right man to solve a church conspiracy.
Also, while these DLC's have been cool so far, would absolutely love a big expansion like Blood and Wine or Phantom Liberty. A certain nobleman's wedding would be a perfect backdrop for it.
Sorry, but this article talks like only first party Sony games matter. The only truly great one this gen has been AstroBot. When I think over the PS5 era, its the third party developed games that have made it worthwhile, and tbh a pretty awesome time for gaming.
When theyre good theyre really good. Thinking of the Last of Us morality test and HZD's unfolding mystery. Sometimes the delivery is lacking though, and just results in tedium. Rangnorok's elephant ride of exposition being the main culprit.
Are there any recomendations for gaming novelisations? Maybe an article idea Pushsquare. The only one I've ever read is Bioshock: Rapture a few years back. It was okay, a bit of Rand-lite that tied together the first 2 games and gave some interesting backstory on the buliding of Rapture.
The dark horse of the series. Rough around the edges but with so much heart. Fell off the series hard with Infinite Wealth, but happy to see a remake of 3 and looking forward to shedding some more manly tears.
Unless this is across the board 10/10 stuff, will be leaving it for a while. Enjoyed the Silent Hill 2 remake mostly, but killing 350 of 3 different enemy types while dying zero times on a first playthrough isnt exactly what I look for in this kind of game, and kills any desire to replay it.
They were releasing the base edition for under £50. So does the price go up, or stay the same with the classes added? Also didn't Like A Dragon have character classes (or jobs) as day 1 dlc? Anyway, hope they get it cleared up as the game looks way better than expected otherwise.
How about the option to have the game not force me to lose easy fights? Or some sort of plot progression?
As a Dreamcast fan since 2001 the squandered opportunity of this game, after a 17 year wait, boils my blood.
@Oram77 Nice I just passed 300 hours on it last week, which makes it my 5th most played PS game ever just 6 months after release. That kind of playtime usually means multiple playthroughs over several years for me!

Bit of sweet lizard sex in there.... What is it with these guys? 😂
Re: Ex-Yakuza Director Reveals Gang of Dragon, Which Is Basically a New AAA Yakuza Game
Oh hell yes! Considering Yakuza / LAD has gone deep into an era of "wacky bollocks" since Nagoshi-san left, this looks perfect.
Re: Sony Hypes Halo PS5 in Its Hot Games of 2026 Trailer
Halo aside, 2026 is looking awesome from that trailer. Capcom triple threat!

Maybe they could also hire Desperate Dan seeing as he will no longer be playing Joanna Dark.

@themightyant no, you didn't have to spell it out 😂
Re: Yakuza Kiwami 3 Becomes an Orphanage Sim with Massively Expanded Morning Glory Minigames
@themightyant because its run by an ex-yakuza?
Re: Yakuza Kiwami 2 Has All-Important 60FPS Performance on PS5 Alongside Free Upgrade
So just Yakuza 6 to go.
That one needs a bit more work though. Get some aliasing in there.

It's alright. Impressive for f2p. But with all the UI on screen, I can't help but think of those "if Ubisoft made..." parody videos.

Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed 4 Remake Makes Big Changes, Drops Modern Day Story and Adds RPG Elements
We know the gear and loot crap is vital for implementing the full scope of microtransactional opportunities.
And having a thinly veiled Ubisoft as a big unethical corp is a bit too close to the bone these days.
That said, get the sailing right (it was already) and I'm there.
