So . . . Temu Dark Souls, Anime Whatever, and some excellent PS1 games? Alright. I'd buy that for £6.99.

I too got really got obsessed with Oblivion back in 2006 and again with the remake last year. The heir to that style is the Kingdom Come games, rather than anything BSG have done since. Still, I'll def be trying Starfield at some point, though probably not at launch. Got another alleged 6/10 called Crimson Desert to keep me occupied for the next year or so...

For anyone wondering, the game runs and looks fine on base PS5 quality mode. Quite stunning actually.

The difference in reaction to PS6 and Helix, is that the new Xbox is meant to have those storefronts. This generation has been carried by third party games and Sony still refuses to do any sort of adequate backwards compatibility program. So I'll take 5 generations of Xbox games, plus everything on Steam, Epic etc, and Sony can keep Godess of War, Bald Space Woman Adventures, Mrs Astrobot, all 25 live services, etc.

So we'll get the "here's why it's a success actually" article before a review? Nice.

Awesome game from a series that's been consistently great. Well deserved. And it's nice to see an actual success story on here rather than "but it's got 80k concurrent players on steam dB" damage controls.

You buy a PS5 for games like Horizon FW, and they give you a live service whatever with the next Horizon proper put back however many years. It's not okay. They need to finish what they start, not bait and switch. If I don't want Italian food. I wouldn't go to an Italian restaurant l.

Why? Take the hundred million dollars you're about to spend and invest it in the next actual Baldur's Gate game instead of fan fiction in an inferior format.

KCD1 was definitely held back by PS4 hardware. . . I remember constantly riding into a textureless Rattay and fields full of flowers only popping in about 10 yards in front of Henry . . . So this will be a nice and much-needed update. Some little convenience features from the sequel (outfit loadouts, weapon switching) would be an amazing bonus.

This trailer actually lessened my interest. Main character seems insufferable, and that dialogue with bandit Father Gascoine.... Ouch. One to try on PS Plus down the line.

Another year? Wow. What kind of half-arsed guff were they going to release? Hopefully any interesting parts still remaining can be identified by focus groups and sawed off before 2027.

I fell off it part way through the second act. Not a bad effort. Really strong writing and an interesting world but very very unpolished. I bet in 5 years time we'll all be talking about whatever this studio does next though.

Replayed the OG a few months back on PS Plus. Still a survival horror great. Bring on the remake. Hopefully they don't cut too much and keep the Ashford siblings just as delightfully mental.

Also I really like Detroit and revisit every few years. A bit sad their next project is Star Wars tbh.

Hopefully they continue to team up with talented creatives like Ryukishi07, because the story and psychological aspect is more important than the gameplay for this series. That's hard to do and not just end up with an inferior version of SH2. I think F did this really well.

Control was an awesome concept grafted onto a kinda boring / distant / tepid game. This looks about the same, but now with a more schlubby / unkempt / Big Mac protagonist. Hoping for a Remedy renaissance after the amazing / stunning / marvelous Alan Wake 2, so praying that I'm wrong / delusional / on crack and this actually turns out great.

Oh hell yes! Considering Yakuza / LAD has gone deep into an era of "wacky bollocks" since Nagoshi-san left, this looks perfect.

Halo aside, 2026 is looking awesome from that trailer. Capcom triple threat!
