@dschons same here. Firs time I played I bounced off it hard and was actually annoyed that I'd bought it. It went on to become the only game I've ever got the platinum trophy for on purpose.

If you're already commited to £450, then an extra £30 isnt likely to be that much of a deal breaker to be honest. Wasnt for me anyway.

My shout for underrated local co-op would be Moving Out. You empty houses into a van. And it's great, kinda weird, and simple enough for my none-gamer gf to pick up and play.

Definitely interested but waiting on reviews first. Love the idea of an open world Gotham (actually populated for once) and hoping for a quality narrative to go with it.

@LN78 Ghosts of Mars is Carpenter's most under appreciated IMO. It's no masterpiece, but it is a big dose of B-movie fun.

As long as it has enough time in the oven, yes please. Bit early for speculation but . . . I wonder if it will be set in Night City but in a different time period. Sorta like a mega-sized version of what the RGG games do with Kamurocho. If so, that would reduce development time compared to the first.

I think they can go straight reboot for this one. It would make for a great modern action rpg series. Getting through those 20 year old games again isn't something most people would be willing to do. I sure wouldn't. Give me a fresh entry point.

It does make sense and draws a line under the Kiryu era when most of the games were very much about the Yakuza clans. I see Yakuza 8 being titled Like A Dragon 2 in the west.

Just started up Yakuza Zero. All of them are either good or great, but Zero is the masterpiece of the series. Grateful for the opportunity to replay it.

@GREGORIAN He came to AEW about a year ago. Had some amazing matches, eventually won the world championship, then got injured diving into the crowd. He should be back next month for the PPV though. ☺

@GorosBat The Persona thing is an anomaly. Generally, if you're a fan of Japanese games, PlayStation is the place to be and has been for years. If you're ever in Japan, go look for the xbox section in a games store. They will have half a shelf at most.

One thing I wish for with this sequel. Make the sabre and gear unlocks mean something, even if just minor start boosts. An assortment of gross poncho designs didn't exactly encourage exploration the first time around.

A pretty deep cut and very unlikely, but I still hold hope for a remaster / remake of Shadow of Rome.

I've tried it twice and it doesn't really gel for me. I think the setting is a bit too generic and the enemies aren't very interesting. First Dishonoured is tops IMO.

The endless tailing missions mean I will never get very far into a replay of Black Flag despite loving the naval aspect. So I am provisionally down for this pending reviews. One thing they didnt show however was any swordfighting. You can't make a pirate game without swordfighting.

@Perturbator I was just about to ask if they played like X-Com. I really enjoy that style of turn-based combat so that sounds great.

@Uncharted2007 I played it and couldn't finish it. The first few hours in the second location, wandering around, investigating was great. Took me right back to my childhood. Perfect Shenmue. Hitting story wall enemies that rendered all training and skill worthless made me quit in annoyance. Wasn't too fussed about the story not moving forward as it never really did in the other games. I will probably play a fourth, just because of how much I like the first two, but I hope they take a different route with it design-wise.

Loved Mafia, Resi 2 and the Kiwamis. If its an older game I missed, or has seriously dated to the point of clunkiness, then I'm all for remakes.

Not a fan of the ffvii one though.
