@thefourfoldroot1 They did stop somewhat short of giving characters outright blatant superpowers. The more outlandish combat stuff in 7 was justified by Ichiban's perspective. Let's see if they can walk that tonal line without Nagoshi-San.

If this was Black Flag by another name with a bit of refinement it'd be my most anticipated game by miles. Live service multiplayer loot grinder with no narrative? Not interested.

He should get 'created by' credit with Druckmann. Other than that, the property belongs to Sony. If he wanted to get paid... he should have stayed.

I feel a bit like the whole racist / right wing categorisation of negative reactions is becoming a bit of a smokescreen for sub-par products. The demo was underwhelming, but if it gets good reviews, I'm definitely interested.

@Max_the_German I just meant that GOW is a more than valid choice for playstation focused gaming. In the wider sphere of games, Elden Ring is pretty indisputable.

I think for a playstation dedicated site and the kind of games playstation gamers like, then Ragnorok is the right choice. Elden Ring is The Game of 2022 though.

@rockodoodle Hope you enjoy it. It has a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you're over it it's really an awesome game.

Bannerlord is awesome. Hope more people check it out on PS5. Should come with an addiction warning though. 😂

I bought Horizon physically so I can sell it on. Elden Ring was a digital preorder, only the second I've ever made. Horizon is good, but it's a championship team to Fromsoft's Premier league.

Just keep it away from whoever made that terrible Lord of the Rings fan fiction. Get David Joffe or Corey Barlog involved to avoid the dispassionate fan fiction route.

I like Druckmann and his commitment (in part 2 at least) to narrative decisions that repulse and enrage some players. That's an artist. One of the few working in the AAA space. Multiple times in part 2 I hesitated because I didn't want what was going to happen to happen. It's a different emotion to the usual "***** yeah I'm a bad ass" empowerment feeling that most action games offer.

Traversal was kinda boring. Just hold circle and off she goes, maybe it gets more skillful as it expands. Combat was cool, particularly the machine gun type spell. Too much needless profanity though, a lot of "f" and "s" seemed out of place.

Days Gone was a solid 7/10 game that got solid 7/10's.

I grabbed Resident Evil 3 for £8. Played through it in one sitting and for that price I was very happy with it.

Not finished yet but so far it just gets better and better. Wasn't too enamoured for the first half, now I don't want it to end.

I've seen other sites translate that comment as they will learn lessons for a sequel. Though patches seem to be needed as the reviews really have ran the gamut from great to terrible.

Batman the Animated Series is an all time great and Mr Conroy was a massive part of what made it so good. That show was a big part of my childhood and I remember trying to impersonate his Batman voice on the way to school. Thank you and RIP Kevin. Best wishes to his friends and family.

@dschons same here. Firs time I played I bounced off it hard and was actually annoyed that I'd bought it. It went on to become the only game I've ever got the platinum trophy for on purpose.

If you're already commited to £450, then an extra £30 isnt likely to be that much of a deal breaker to be honest. Wasnt for me anyway.
