This game has the same narrative director as Vampyr, that fact alone makes this a day one for me.

@LifeGirl I still disagree. Cyberpunk was never a terrible game, just one that launched with severe technical issues on underpowered hardware. That was the mistake, and a very bad move by the company. But it was an experience people wanted (great marketing, keanu reeves, still not luck) that CDPR eventually delivered over literal years of refinement.

Ishin broke the Yakuza spell for me. First one I didn't finish. Think it felt like a massive step back after the continual upward trajectory of the series. Still, glad it finally got released over here and people got to enjoy it.

I kind of agree with him, but where else could they have gone with Kratos? Although the accepting yourself nonsense of Valhalla rang hollow to me and should have been called 'Sympathy for a Genocidal Maniac'.

@get2sammyb I'd have to respectfully disagree. Uncharted and TLOU as original Sony properties, have left a far bigger cultural footprint than Rachet. Spiderman is already part of the world's biggest IP. For that reason I think the Dog is still on top.

I finished it. There were parts exactly like this in the main game. It was kind of an average shooter with a great artistic vision. Not sure if I want more of it, though I'd be interested to see what Mundfish do next.

Xbox finally sorting itself out with exclusives. Good for them. Might pick up the Series S with game pass once they're all out.

Getting Yakuza 5 vibes from this. An all-in, everything and the kitchen sink, swing for the fences approach. Good luck to the RGG team, got a lot to prove without Nagoshi IMO.

Didn't get to Tokyo, but visited Dotenbori in Osaka during my time in Japan (Sotenbori in LAD) . I think we were about 30 years too late for the true seediness. Although, I did find one neighbourhood that was entirely 'love cafes'.

This seems a very normal 2023 occurrence.

Been playing Sniper Elite 4 on extra after 5 was announced. What a hidden gem that I probably never would have bothered with if it wasnt on the service. Looking forward to 5.

The only new AAA games I've ever bought digitally have been Last of Us 2 and Elden Ring. Everything else I buy physical and sell on, if I like it enough I'll get digital down the line at a reduced price. It's the only way I can financially justify purchasing new games.

I love these medieval looking environments.

It's a good service but Gamepass easily surpasses it with those day one additions and deeper back catalogue.

Love these games. Janky as anything but a lot of fun with engaging detective machanics.

Really like the show as a whole. Though some moments, specifically the 'and I damn sure ain't your father' scene, have felt a bit unearned. As good as the Bill episode was, it took a lot of character development time from Joel and Ellie. Great show overall though.
