Warhorse Studios has announced its third and "final" story expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will release for PS5 on 11th November 2025. Given the name Mysteria Ecclesiae, you'll venture to the Sedletz Monastery to investigate a deadly disease. Catch the reveal trailer above.
Here's the setup: "Join Henry as he assumes the role of assistant to Sigismund Albicus, a renowned healer with ties to King Wenceslas himself. Tasked with a clandestine mission within the monastery's ancient walls, Henry finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue (and a deadly mysterious plague) where each faction harbors its own hidden motives."

Alongside the new location containing the new story quests, you'll encounter different factions within the monastery, all of which have their own secrets, motivations, and reasons relating to the overall mystery. You can also look forward to acquiring a new outfit, weapon, potions, and books, with the monastery itself unlocking new areas as you progress.
Mysteria Ecclesiae will cost £11.49 / $13.99 on its own, or you can get it along with the first two pieces of DLC as part of the season pass. There's also the Gold Edition of the game if you're yet to buy Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which is currently discounted by 40% on the PS Store, lowering the price to £47.99 / $53.99. That sale is live until 6th November.

I refuse to believe this is going to be the last DLC and they're moving on, this game has been way too successful for them to stop now.
I reckon they'll put out a larger expansion next year, like Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk 2077.
Excited for this, been holding off on playing all the DLC until this one is released. I hope they're doing something else next year, either an expansion like Liam said or a remaster of the first game with KCDII QOL improvements.
The game is a modern day master piece and is my GOTY without question.
@LiamCroft If rumours are to believed Warhorse are already working on a Martin spin off game.
@Oram77 been looking in to getting this over the past couple of months. Is it something I can jump in to without any prior knowledge or gameplay of the first. I don't really fancy going back and playing a PS4 era game.
@Kidfunkadelic83 You do not need to play the first game, in fact Warhorse knew this would be the case and made the intro really friendly for newcomers. in the fact the whole game is way more welcoming I'm sure my fellow KCD enjoyer @Ravix can vouch this claim.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I read a quick summary on the first game and I still thoroughly enjoyed the second game. Be forewarned that the first 10 to 15 hours have a steep learning curve.
@captainsandman @Oram77 cheers guys. I think I will see if I can grab it soon. I always liked the look of the first one but I just couldn't go for the PS4 version. It didn't look great and apparently didn't run that great either. 2 obviously looks way more polished.
@Kidfunkadelic83 @Oram77
There are pretty hefty rumours of a PS5 update to the first game. Not sure if it is a remake to bring it in line with KCD2 gameplay, or a patch, though.
I'd say play the first game first, but apparently 2 is easier for people to get into. Bare in mind it will kick your ass if you treat it like a regular game, but not as much as KCD (unfortunately, in my opinion, as I like when it lets you make lots of mistakes and punishes you for each one 😂) so KCD2 is definitely seen as the easier one to get into.
You will find notes of Oblivion and similar rpgs, so if you like games like that, you should vibe with what it is doing fairly quickly.
I really want to give this game a try. It looks like a really fun game.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Think off Kingdom Come 2 as The Dark Knight to KC1's Batman Begins in that you don't need to watch Begins to enjoy or understand TDK but that added knowledge and context will make it better. Its worth noting KC2 takes place days after KC1 and its very much a direct sequel with the main villains of that game playing a major role in this game, there's a ton of pay off because of that. Again you won't be lost with it but it won't hit you like it does for those who played KC1.
Worth noting KC1 is worth playing if you can ignore the jank, awkward 30fps and brutal difficulty. The world, characters, writing and story are just that good that it gets easy to overlook the jank. Like the visuals are pretty bad but its so immersive and commits to the setting so well that the poor visuals don't matter.
@Ravix Yeah KCD1 can be brutal stuck on a duel with Runt currently, speaking of, I remember I was stuck on other duels in KCD2. So I think both games can be difficult.
@DennisReynolds I think KCD1's visuals still looks good, especially when drunk and that sharpness filter sets in.
@TheArt On PC it might look fine but the awful res, awful pop in and dodgy 30fps do it no favours on a PS5 on a 4K screen. The jump from KC1 and KC2 in visuals felt like a two generation jump 😅.
I really like how this game recognizes when you haven’t played it in a while and offers you a tutorial. Sometimes jumping back into games this massive can be overwhelming .
I have the base game and really want to like it, but it just hasn't clicked for me. Everytime I fire it up I bounce off it again.
I wish warhorse would make a Cyberpunk themed RPG. I know it will be like them mirroring CDPR too much, but who cares. They got the chops now after KCD2 and we just don't have enough Cyberpunk themed games in this industry, esp fleshed out RPGs.
@LiamCroft Jezus Christ be Praised. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Henry yet.
@Kidfunkadelic83 My man, it's not the graphics that made this game good. It's the deeply intuïtive rpg mechanics. Getting stronger with Henry, together. It's extremely addictive and rewarding.
I have a ps5 pro with an LG Oled so you could say graphics are important to me. Played kcd 1 for the first time last year and holy moly. Just get trough the prologue and then the rythm just starts clicking. Next thing you know you put more than 250 hours in both games and start praising it to some random guy on a gaming newssite. IT'S THAT GOOD.
It's practically free, nowadays so just try to get trough the first hours of the game. Roll with it, don't try to min-max everything. ENJOY it.
Last I saw Henry he was running a successful forge in Kuttenberg and had been awake for about 4 weeks straight on that cockerel potion after his frequent sleepwalking all the way to Suchdol became too annoying.
Sounds like just the right man to solve a church conspiracy.
Also, while these DLC's have been cool so far, would absolutely love a big expansion like Blood and Wine or Phantom Liberty. A certain nobleman's wedding would be a perfect backdrop for it.
Thank God I got the premium edition at a nice discount. I'm sorry, but 2 of the 3 dlcs we're garbage. Wow, shield painting and forging. Could they find anything more boring? This last one better be worth it.
@Daan6661 @Ravix @captainsandman @Oram77 I picked up KCD2 today and I've only just got to the bit where you leave the old woman's house and its already feels like its going to be one of the best games I've ever played. Its ridiculously good so far and I've not even started yet lol.
@Kidfunkadelic83 That's awesome that you picked the game up! oh yes the game just gets better and better, also keep us posted on how long "attend the wedding" quest stays in your quest log

Jesus Christ be praised
@Oram77 I've just found out about the wedding. Is it a long quest then? I'm just in the stocks now arguing with Hans 🤣
@Oram77 @Kidfunkadelic83 haha you'll see. But its very RPG and it became a thing on reddit as everyone was just doing everything but the main quest, as its structured in an open, non urgent way, so people were realising how deep the game was and were posting how they still haven't been to the wedding after x hours of pure questing and exploration.
Enjoy!
@Ravix ahhh I get it. Yeah I found out about the wedding, got in a fight then basically dropped in to it and told off you go opening the game up to me. I can see how the wedding could sit in the quest log for quite some time.
@Oram77 Yeah but it is better to. I played the first and then the second immediately after. And fair play to the developers didn't get fatigue from either considering they are both long games. Folkers also make out the first is janky but really didn't come across that also the DLC is a bit stronger with the first part granted I haven't delved into all of the second part's stuff.
