S-GAME promised it’d date its highly anticipated PS5 console exclusive Phantom Blade Zero at The Game Awards, and now we know what date to mark on our calendars.
The action RPG will release on 9th September.
In a new trailer, the Beijing-based studio showed off a bunch of crunchy combat and some spectacular cinematics.
There’s a lot of buzz around this one, so expect it to have a similar impact to Black Myth: Wukong a few years ago.
But are you sold on Phantom Blade Zero, and are you planning to pick it up day one? Impale us with a particularly sharp weapon in the comments section below.

Looks awesome
Still looks pretty horrible.
I rarely get wowed by game trailers these days but WOW. Looks stunning.
I'm going to write on my calendar "A video game was supposed to come out this date but I'm not writing the name b/c it probably won't".😂
Looks amazing
Really hype for this game!
Looks amazing.
I thought the reveal was sort of disappointing. The developer had said time and time again that this one isn’t a Souls style game, but that gameplay looked very Wukong, which, while it isn’t exactly a Soulslike, its Souls adjacent. With Nioh and Onimusha being similar looking games too, I hope this one lands with its story or has a demo or something. After the trailer though, I was definitely like, “Oh, another Wukong.”
lol I love the parity of the first 2 comments. Just proves that no game is ever universally accepted.
