The next entry in the Control universe, named Control Resonant, has been announced by Remedy. It's coming to PS5 in 2026, and you can catch the reveal trailer above.
This time around, Dylan Faden takes the lead role, and the combat will be melee-focused. You can catch some gameplay clips in the trailer.
You'll explore Manhattan, with multiple "expansive zones" available,each hiding branching missions, encounters, and events to tackle in any order. This world is alive, strange, and replayable – full of discoveries that reward curiosity and exploration."

"Control Resonant is the biggest game we have ever made and will be released in 2026 for PlayStation 5. We can’t wait to share more about it in the months ahead," said co-creative director Mikael Kasurinen.

I immediately called it within the first seconds, that its going to be a Control game.
I’m tired of hearing every studio say this is the biggest game they ever made. I’d like to see a studio say this is the most focused and innovative game we’ve ever made. The most respect for your time we’ve ever had.

It's looking good although i'm surprised with Dylan as the protag and this time Jesse going rogue. Definitely on my wishlist.
Didn’t expect a new protagonist but it looks phenomenal.
Control 1 was such a surprise hit for me. One of my favorite games of the last few years, so I'm pretty pumped for this!

As someone who loved the first Control, I'm not really feeling this one right now though I don't know why. Of course this is only the first trailer so far, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
Control's good but I'm more excited for their Max Payne remakes.

If you just watch the few seconds of gameplay which is not in slow motion, it suddenly becomes a normal looking third-person action-adventure, like hundreds of others out there.
This looks great! I'm not the biggest fan of rogue like elements, but positive that Remedy can make it work. Really liked the taste of gameplay, seems like some Housemarque folk have joined the team !
I was so hoping to see what happened with Jesse i hope its not the gotten evil trope she was awesome.

Like a number of others, hoping Jesse plays a decent role in this one - great character. Dual protagonists with a bit of sibling rivalry would be cool.

Re-playing Control right now so this feels very close. A LOT feels very different, but i'm here for it and trust Remedy
Not the Max Payne remakes first? Huh. Okay then.
Control was an awesome concept grafted onto a kinda boring / distant / tepid game. This looks about the same, but now with a more schlubby / unkempt / Big Mac protagonist. Hoping for a Remedy renaissance after the amazing / stunning / marvelous Alan Wake 2, so praying that I'm wrong / delusional / on crack and this actually turns out great.

MOST ANTICIPATED!!! I really need to play the Alan Wake games now. Control is one of the most interesting games I've played and loved the disconnected story telling.
Control was one of my fave games of that time period, but I'm not sure how I feel about the melee combat. It looked kind of soulslike to me. Not that its a bad thing, we just have too many of those. I just liked the way you upgraded guns in C1
WOW! What a trailer! This just hit my #1 most wanted game of 2026. Control is an absolute masterpiece, and this looks… like everything I’d want for a sequel. Same amazing sci-fi world, but switch up the character/combat completely. SOLD. ADD TO CART!
@JuiceboxMeister Yes you do! Alan Wake is a flawed, but still really cool experience. Alan Wake 2, however, is utterly incredible. And with lots of ties to Control! If you buy the physical of Wake 2 you get both games, and it’s much cheaper now. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
@StitchJones I get the feeling it's going to be both Dylan and Jesse similar to Alan and Saga. Melee and gunplay.
