Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 609

This week I've been playing Lunacid, a first person dungeon crawler. Apparently it's very similar to From Softwares early King's Field series, but I can't say since I haven't played those. Instead it reminds me more of From's Souls series.

The game just oozes dark fantasy atmosphere and has a great soundtrack. I was planning on playing it normally but discovered by chance that it has a VR mod with full motion controls. And this just made a great game 10 times better!

@Jrs1 I've heard tales of how loud MBV is live. A friend that has seen them multiple times since the 90s claims people might just leave their concerts deaf if not wearing ear plugs.

Re: Sony Is Actually Advertising PSVR2 This Black Friday

I can understand why Sony doesn't produce big first party VR titles, as the player base just isn't big enough to warrant such investments. But I can't forgive the fact they can't be bothered to even port some their great flatscreen games into VR, when such ports cost a fraction of developing new games and would also be a great way of exploring said games from a new perspective.

It's been a good gaming week...

Demeo

Tabletop RPG, but in VR. Love moving those little miniatures around and rolling the dice like physical objects, but in virtual reality of course. The game is pretty difficult, but I'm starting to pick up some strategies along the way.

Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom

A chaotic platformer, except you're driving a little wind-up taxi instead of jumping around the place. I very much recommend this, so let's hope they bring it to console eventually.

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Is Still Gunning for Live Service Success with New Multiplayer Shooter

Perturbator

There just isn't enough time and space for live service games unless they do something new or really special. Players are already spending their time elsewhere, like in Fortnite or COD or any of the already massive live service games.

Hyperscape is a good example. I played it a bit when it came out, and it was alright, but after a few days me and my friends went back to playing Apex Legends again. It was just a superior game in most aspects, with a lot more content than Hyperscape could offer.

Re: At Least One Publisher Still Strongly Supports PSVR2

@Northern_munkey Honestly I preferred Dirt Rally 1 to 2, even though I played 2 on a powerful PC with wheel/pedals. The first game had that fun hillclimb mode with the crazy cars, while 2 has nothing of the sort. The rallycross in 2 was also incredibly difficult, because the opponents kept pushing me off the road every time, while I didn't have too much trouble with that in the first game.

Re: Talking Point: If Xbox Drops the Cost, Would You Be Happy Still Paying for PS6 Multiplayer?

Perturbator

It's a weird tale this...
1. XBOX makes multiplayer cost money
2. Playstation makes multiplayer free
3. Playstation adds monthly games for a cost
4. XBOX adds "free" games to their paid multiplayer
5. Playstation removes free multiplayer but adds it to their monthly paid games.
6. XBOX adds a good value subscription model, but removes their free games from the paid multiplayer
7. Playstation adds an OK subscription model but otherwise keeps things the same
8. XBOX raises price of their previously good value sub model
9. XBOX makes multiplayer free again?
10. ???
