Kratos in Guts gear in Diablo 4... now I've seen it all.
Was just reading the last chapters of Berserk too. It's now being made by Miura's assistants with the story retold by a friend of Miura (that he previously explained the ending of the series). It's not the same as it was of course, but I'm happy to see the continuation of the story.
How about proximity chat with a player rating system?
If someone is rated to be consistently toxic by other players, then their character gets a pink pacifier in the mouth, a diaper on their characters bottom, and a voice filter that makes them sound like a toddler. Problem fixed.
Oh wait up... do you remember when we had a poll of favorite games from February State of Play and only 0.5% picked Blue Prince? Pepperidge Farms remembers!
I'm absolutely interested, even if it is multiplayer. But releasing it exclusively for Switch 2, especially now with the increased price and tariffs and pre-order uncertainty - just sounds like a perfect s#&t storm of bad luck for a game that could be a certain best-seller on other consoles and PC based on the From name alone.
Modern Warfare should without a doubt be part of such a list, although I honestly hated how every other first person shooter had to copy it for years afterwards.
Others who should be included: PUBG, Slay the Spire, Amnesia Dark Descent, Monster Hunter. Morrowind instead of Skyrim, Demon's Souls instead of Dark Souls.
Weird decision by From, since it will effectively shut out 90% of their userbase from ever playing it. While I would love to play the game, there is no way I will ever buy a Nintendo console to do so.
Lots of great suggestions here already, but if I had to choose just one it would be a remaster of Motorstorm Pacific Rift... games like that just aren't made anymore.
Regarding Haze... I don't know what they could do to make that game good, it was just mediocre all around.
That's the one thing I miss the most from my console days after going to PC. No cheating &¤#&/¤"#s in multiplayers games.
Sometimes you can clearly tell someone is cheating, but most times its more of a suspicion that something is off (like wallhacks and no recoil) and that just makes the game less fun all around.
INFRA It's like if Half-Life 2 was a walking sim featuring a grumpy Eastern European man taking pictures of structural damage while pronouncing flashlight as fleshlight.
Lumencraft It's like if Steamworld Dig was a top-down tower defense game where you drill some glittering pink goo that looks like it came straight out of My Little Pony.
@Bionic-Spencer Loved that game, but it was so damn hard! Don't think we got further than halfway in co-op before having to give up. Of course me and my fellow student friends were likely stoned and drunk at the time so that may have affected performance.
Anyway this is still my fav game cover of all time. My copy was all sparkly silver and not gray as it appears in photos though. It was so beautiful!
I got the game in this months Humble Choice for PC, but currently waiting to see if it gets wheel/pedals support down the line.
People have been begging for it in Steam community discussions and the devs said they were exploring it so 'm hoping it will happen eventually. Pacific Drive + VR + Wheel just sounds like a good time.
For me Demon's Souls (PS3) will always be number one, because it was so special at the time of release. But Bloodborne is a good second place.
Beat it twice and got the Platinum, and I'd probably play it a third time if it ever comes to PC. However, I'm not gonna repeat Chalice Dungeon's Watchdog and Amygdala... never again!
It's vital to keep the narrative positive, and focus on player engagement and other statistics that make your product look like a success.
XBOX has been doing this since they started trailing far behind Playstation, and now its being adopted by other game publishers. They don't want the next Concord or Suicide Squad on their hands if they can help it.
@ChrisDeku Those examples are more fair, although they are from quite a while ago (6-7 years ago) whilst KCD2 and MHW are recent releases which were originally supposed to go head to head with Shadows in February, until that was delayed to March instead.
There may be some differences between console and PC gamer habits, but if anything I'd say that Monster Hunter has a more defined console background than Assassin's Creed.
I guess we'll only know Shadows real sales numbers whenever Ubisoft wants to disclose them, though.
In many cases I think its the investors who want to play it safe. A lot of boring, safe games out there were probably something quite different at an early stage, before being edited into a video game happy meal.

Tails of Iron

Pretty good 2D Soulslike featuring a bunch of violent anthro rats and frogs doing terrible things to one another.

Re: Oblivion PS5 Remaster Expected to Have Overhauled Gameplay, Based on Older Leaks
If the gameplay (and I'm guessing animations) are remade, isn't it then closer to a remake than a remaster?
Re: Marathon Maker Thinks Players Are Too Toxic for Proximity Chat in New PS5 Game
@J2theEzzo It would have to be based on a large number of bad ratings over some time, I would think.
Simpler would be just to deny the toxic player any sort of chat, but that wouldn't be as funny.

Re: PS5 Fans Give Bungie's Marathon the Cold Shoulder, 34% Say You'd Have to Pay Them to Play
I'm guessing Bungie already has Destiny 3 at least in the planning stage, no matter how Marathon ends up faring.

BB mode engaged.

@ChrisDeku I did. Don't know if I'd ever play them again though. Sometimes its better just to leave some things to nostalgia.

Re: Free-to-Play Shooter FragPunk Finally Comes to PS5 Later This Month
I tried it but like The Finals it was just fine but nothing special.
Re: RPGs Reportedly on the Rise as the Live Service, Battle Royale Trend Falters
Like many have said: RPGs is such a loose definition now that its almost meaningless when it comes to describing trends.
As for multiplayer games, it seems like there's been a shift to 4-player co-op games lately.
Re: RiME Dev Tequila Works Forced to Auction Off Assets After Bankruptcy
Not even quality studios can survive in the tough gaming business these days, it seems.
Rime is great and has one of the more memorable endings I've seen in gaming. The Invisible Hours is a must-play for VR fans of detective mystery.
GYLT being a Stadia exclusive at launch was probably a bad idea though. I've got the game on Steam but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Re: Deduce Friend or Nightmarish Foe in PS5 Horror Game No, I'm Not a Human
Had this on my wishlist for a while. It just looks unsettling in the best way.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 575
@Marquez Yeah that's one I left the music on for, very nice atmosphere in the game.
@AhmadSumadi I think you'll like it, especially if you like more forgiving roguelikes. Also the dog companion is a very good boy!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 575
I've been playing a lot of shorter games while listening through rateyourmusics top 40 Atmospheric Drum and Bass albums.
Untamed Tactics

It's like a furry XCOM. Kinda average tactical SRPG.
The Flame in the Flood

Post-apocalypse Americana river roguelike sim. I killed a lot of wildlife and made some rabbit mittens.
OTXO

It's basically Hotline Miami in b&w as a roguelike. Lacks the magic of those games, though.
More Morrowind in VR

It's so good. I also found these great comics of ecm-artist that should be very recognizable to anyone playing the game.
Re: Single Player Games Are Still Coming from Dark Souls, Elden Ring Dev

Doesn't affect me that much, since I always wait for deep discounts and have a seemingly never-ending backlog anyway.

AC Shadows day 1 players: 41000
KCD 2 day 1 players: 159000
MH Wilds day 1 players: 1300000
