I just bought a Quest 3, but I'm waiting for the VR lenses I ordered to arrive in the mail before I even unbox it. Will be so liberating to not have to use glasses inside the headset anymore!
Other than that I've been playing a top-down isometric Soulslike called Sands of Aura. It's pretty neat. I especially like being able to continously configure my weapons without starting to upgrade new ones - a constant issue in many Soulslike games. Also the world is pretty interesting, being made up of multiple islands in the midst of a sea of sand, which you traverse with a sailboat.
Immortals Fenyx Rising + music. Currently listening through the discography of Osees (formerly Ohsees/Thee Oh Sees/OCS... seriously just stick with a name already!) and AraabMuzik.
Stasis Bone Totem
Very much enjoyed this deep sea horror adventure. Like a point-and-click SOMA.
Immortals Fenyx Rising
How do you do fellow Ubisoft and similar open worlds fanclub kids? In all seriousness this game is quite enjoyable, like a mix of AC Odyssey and Darksiders. Perfect game to play while listening through new music.
BF campaigns were always a bit ยค%&#, with the lone exception of Bad Company 1. That campaign was more open-ended and played to the strengths of the series, while the rest simply copied COD with awful results.
This week I've been playing an adorable shop-sim-RPG from 2007 called Recettear - an Item Shop's Tale. If you've ever played Moonlighter, then this is pretty similar. Go raid dungeons, pick up items, buy items for cheap and sell them for a high price. Capitalism Ho!
Loved the first game despite some definite jank here and there. The last few floors were pure horror because one mistake would erase hours of progress.
Looking forward to this sequel though, it is what they should have continued with instead of that ill-advised multiplayer sidegame they went with.
New Motorstorm or Wipeout would be a dream come true, but unfortunately the only bigger arcade racers coming out these days seem to be the open-world kind (not a big fan of those).
Btw, do any of you remember when PS Blog had these weekly What did you play/watch/read/eat articles back in the day? They stopped doing them and became more of a corporate mouthpiece eventually, but at the time it was like the PushSquare of its era.
It's just been more Half-Life Alyx for me. About to wrap it up now and the game is, not surprisingly, absolutely brilliant. I hope Valve decides to release it for PSVR2 some day because it deserves to be played by as many players as possible.
@Ricky-Spanish Yeah Tier 1-6 was the most fun and after that it was a lot of grind. I did have some good times playing WoT with friends, but its one I don't want to get back into because of the time investment.
@The_Elder I spent so long to unlock Tier 10 tanks, just to discover that they were so expensive to repair that they were hardly worth using... This was years ago though, so a lot of the stuff you mention wasn't around yet.
I wishlisted Romeo right after I saw the first trailer. Game looks crazy!
I doubt we'll see any Smiths songs on the soundtrack though. There was a movie here in Norway that wanted to use There is a Light that Never Goes Out as the outro song, but the fee was so ridiculously high they had to go with The Jesus & Mary Chains Just Like Honey instead.
Continuing my journey in Half-Life Alyx. Inventory space is very limited, so I started dragging around every grenade and syringe I could find in this bucket.
I was very excited for Wilds before it came out, but after hearing of the performance issues and the widespread complaints of many that it was so watered down compared to earlier titles, my excitement ebbed out some.
Now I'm considering rather getting back into World again (I never played Iceborne at the time) or Rise + Sunbreak expansion. Fanatical has a bundle with two titles of choice for about โฌ16.
@16BitHero Most of those are either in my wishlist or backlog. I also recommend Subnautica with the motion controls mods. Going ever deeper underwater in that big sub was one of the most immersive and scary things I've experienced in gaming!
@Zuljaras I was saving it for a long time but temptation finally got me. I've only just started but its definitely one of, if not the best looking VR game I've seen so far.
Controls are a bit strange though, no running and no normal jumping... seems like its overly careful not to make people sick.
I don't think I'll ever be as impressed with game graphics as when a friend first showed me this game on his 360. The jump from the PS2 and PC games that I was used to was overwhelming at the time, but I don't see that happening again to the same degree.
Honestly I would have problem differentiating most new games from 5 year old games these days. And that's... fine. I value other aspects of games more nowadays than back then.

Re: Arc Raiders Wants You to Play into the PS6 Generation and Beyond
It's alright, but after trying the playtest for a few rounds with a couple of friends, I didn't really feel like continuing.
Re: Random: Fans Can't Believe Halo Is Coming to PS5 Before Killzone
Killzone and Resistance Remaster Collections with all the games would be pretty neat. And the games would be 10 times as awesome in VR.

Re: Stunning Crimson Desert PS5 Footage Reveals a Wildly Ambitious RPG
I'm cautiously optimistic. Footage has looked great so far, but I wasn't a big fan of Black Desert.

I don't mind the jiggle, but I can't abide the juggle.

Physical?`They should be enforced by law to release the digital sales numbers.
Why? Because I'm curious, damnit!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 602
@Mostik Real shame it wasn't more popular, as I think it's a game many players would enjoy if they gave it a chance!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 602
@ApostateMage Hope you have a quick recovery! My own skateboard history ended quickly after I low-blowed myself with a misplaced ollie.

Re: People Don't Buy Anywhere Near As Many Games As You Think
I bought or traded for 20 games just the last month...
Only paid around $25 for the lot though. PC gaming is cheap with Steam sales and Humble Bundles.
Edit: forgot to include some games
Re: Little Nightmares III (PS5) - Faithful Sequel Keeps It Creepy, But Plays It Safe

Amazing looking game, another boring-ass cover...
Re: Expect to Pay $20 for Hollow Knight: Silksong on PS5, PS4

@Zuljaras The flick wrist to get objects and then catching them is amazing.
I think Skyrim VR has a mod that lets you do the same. It just makes perfect sense in VR.
