@Zuljaras Undying is an underrated classic. Haven' played it since it came out though. Can't you use other users key bindings for Steam Deck games? I just got a Legion Go S and hope I don't have to manually set gamepad controls for older games, as it was such a pain doing it in Stalker and ARMA3.
Been playing Journey to the Savage Planet, in VR with motion controls through the UEVR app: It's a mix of exploration, platforming and Metroidvania with a nice dash of comedy.
And during my nightshifts, YS: Memories of Celceta on PS VITA: Enjoyable handheld action RPG. I need to check out more of the YS series.
I've been to the Americas, and let me tell you my fellow Europeasants: you can find some strange things if you borrow to the bottom of those Target bargain bins.
I gave Divine Divinity a try but it was just a bit too ancient for my taste. I also have Divinity II (2009) and the first Original Sin game so I will try those when the time is right.
Corpse Keeper, a roguelike side-scrolling combat game where you play as a necromancer that has a bunch of corpses fighting for him.
It has these multi-part combos like Remember Me and a focus on parrying and dodging. The corpses keep rotting so they will only last for so long without limited preservation fluids, so there is an element of strategy to making them last as long as possible and kill the boss on that run. Being a roguelike/lite is also has a bunch of random stuff going on, equipment to find and new moves to unlock... you know the deal.
The design of all the characters is really bad-ass and I enjoyed the game for the most part, although it has some annoying QoL issues that could easily be fixed. I'd say it's a keeper!
These sort of games makes it impossible to find anything worthwhile on Steam if you order games by price: low to high. It'll just be page after page of sh*te.
@BentIeyma I'm planning to buy a gaming handheld soon, probably the Legion Go S. I have about 500 or so games in the Steam/Epic/GOG backlog and now I can finally get to do work on it.
I've got a second job (besides my graphic design one) working nightshifts. Most of the time I have nothing to do but keep watch, so I have around 5-6 hours a night of doing whatever I want. So what could be more natural than digging out my old PS Vita for the first time in 7 or 8 years?
The only problem, which I didn't foresee, is that most of my gaming catalogue on it was tied to the PS Plus sub. I've become a PC gamer over the last gen after PS4, so I'm not planning on resubscribing.
Still I have some games and I've been playing Hitman GO into the early hours of morning. Just finished it on my last watch, good stuff. Next up is Ys: Memories of Celceta, which was the last game I purchased for the device in a deep sale years ago, but never got around to play.
@Jammer Looking forward to Requiem, although the setting hasn't grabbed me the way 7 and 8 did when I saw the first teaser trailers. I'm sure it will be good though, just as long as I can play it in VR.
Finished RE Village in VR yesterday. On PCVR so without all the bells and whistles of the PSVR2 version, but still a great experience.
The final part was more action than horror, as usual for Resident Evil. Not that I mind. Would be difficult to make the game scary when I'm packing guns and grenades like Rambo.
All-in-all a great game, although not quite up there with 7 for me.
Pretty good, I would rate this list 7,5/10 on my "Would I want to play these games myself" list: Hell is Us: Yes Clair Obscure: Yes ER Nightreign: Yes, if I could trick my friends into co-op Arc Raider: Maybe Split Fiction: Maybe... but probably not
Fingers crossed that this will be good. I tried War Thunder in VR on PC and the flying was fun, but it was unfortunately too blurry and very difficult to compete against flatscreen players in that half-baked VR mode.
I've been playing Star Renegades It's a roguelike turn-based SRPG. A bit like a mix of Roguebook and Darkest Dungeon, but without cards. Perfect game for listening through music, and this week has seen a deep dive into Quincy Jones and Robin Trower, amongst others.
Honestly I still think they should have finished Factions 2 instead. Listening to the advice of Bungie on the matter does not seem like such a great idea in hindsight.
I was about to photoshop one of the cards to make fun of it, but then I thought: Am I becoming the Grinch? So instead I will wish you all a Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!
It was "okay". I watched it just now and skipped most stuff but the game trailers. A bit top-heavy with most of the good stuff in the first half. Didn't really feel that final game, even though I'm a big fan of both Apex and Titanfall...
If you really want to try this but have never tried VR before, I would advice against a flight sim as a VR beginner game. Most players will likely get motion sick.
Try starting out with some game where you mostly stand still or teleport, like Walkabout Minigolf, Beat Saber or Superhot. Then progress to sims and smooth movement games after some time.

Re: Today, You'll Finally Get to Form Your Own Opinion on PS5 Shooter Highguard
Remember when Apex Legends launched? There was something about that game that made me want to try it from day 1.
This one though, it just looks bland. Like another Hero Shooter fresh off the conveyor belt.

Re: Make Your Code Vein 2 Character on PS5 Now, So You Can Get Straight to the Action Next Week
@Orochilocka I actually liked that maze-like area... maybe I should see a shrink...
The level design was the weakest part of the first game overall though, so I hope they step up their game in this area.
Re: Prince of Persia Remake and 5 Other Games Cancelled by Ubisoft
@TDHorizon Maybe they will. I think they will play it very safe though. Perhaps too safe.
Re: Prince of Persia Remake and 5 Other Games Cancelled by Ubisoft
Don't worry Ubi fans, they already moved everything of value into a new company and sold it to the Sheikhs. Everything will be fine!

Re: In a Satisfying Announcement, Ace Combat 7 Has Sold 7 Million Copies in 7 Years
@Mostik If you have a somewhat capable PC and the PSVR2 PC adapter, you could play all of 7 in VR with UEVR and this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/acecombat7skiesunknown/mods/2387
That's what I plan to do at least. Bought the game last year.

Resident Evil Village in VR

It's awesome.

Some interesting picks in Shinobi and Lumines. I'd love to try the latter in VR.
