Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, developer Tiny Roar has announced a PS5 version of its upcoming game, Lou's Lagoon.
On first impressions, it looks like a combination of those PS2-era Sony platformers fans know and love — stuff like Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank — with modern life sim elements.
You'll see what we mean in the trailer below:
With your uncle away for reasons unknown, it falls to you to restore the Limbo archipelago in the wake of a destructive storm.
The game is an exploration-heavy adventure, giving you free rein to investigate every corner of each island. While there's plenty of on-foot action and plenty of ways to navigate, your most important mode of transportation appears to be a plane, which you're able to fly freely — and even engage in some mid-air challenges.

It looks like a big part of the gameplay will be restoring buildings and parts of each island, as well as helping out the locals with their requests. On top of that, you can customise your character, their plane, and even build a home base as you progress through the adventure.
It certainly has a charm to it, and the blend of elements is pretty appealing. Lou's Lagoon is due out sometime this year on PS5, and it could be one to watch.
It's available to wishlist now on PS Store. Are you interested in this one? Tell us in the comments section below.

I don't think anything would be cozy with Daxter.
😅Honestly, Jak & Daxter is one of those things where I’m not content with a “Jak-like”, so to speak. I want the real thing. 😂
Is this hitting trees with rocks? This looks like hitting trees with rocks.
I don't really understand how these games with resources and economies are cozy. Knee Deep in the Dead is cozy.
