Re: Naughty Dog Sold to Sony to Avoid Being 'Crushed' by Cost of Game Dev

@riceNpea No that's mostly from Microsofts even worse decisions, and the brand recognition and player game catalogue (lots of games owned on the platform will make players stay) Playstation earned in the past.

As for bad decisions; hardly any new must-have 1st party games this gen, failed live service strategy (12 games and 9 are now dead?), Bungie acquisition, Concord, Factions nothingburger, failed PSVR2 strategy... I gotta run, but you get the picture.

I never really got into Rick and Morty, and this game pretty much requires you to like that sort of humor. I just don't think its all that funny, to be honest. So what's left then is a pretty standard hack-and-slash platformer with some light puzzles.

Now this is more my jam. This is one of the weirdest RPGs out there, with a style that somewhat resembles those awkward looking animations on websites in the 90s. Lovely stuff.

Micro Machines V3 was what got me to buy a Playstation at the time.

Me and friends would play it with 8 players locally and it was so much fun! You would need a multitap accessory to enable 4 controllers and then you would have to share each controller between two people to get all 8 players, so it was pretty crowded on the couch.

Re: Shocking: Sony Promotes PSVR2 with New Trailer Showcasing Upcoming Games

It's just sad how Playstation refuses to leverage their unique strength compared to Meta and PCVR by not making their big games playable in VR. Games made exclusively for VR will usually have smaller budgets because of the smaller userbase.

Just imagine games like Helldivers or Days Gone in VR. The games are already there, they just need to add the functionality, something that modders manage to do very well on PC.
