I don't think that's a problem for Sony. There will always be an audience who likes the simplicity of consoles and that "everything just works" without a lot of hassle. And a gaming PC is a whole lot more expensive, of course.
@riceNpea No that's mostly from Microsofts even worse decisions, and the brand recognition and player game catalogue (lots of games owned on the platform will make players stay) Playstation earned in the past.
As for bad decisions; hardly any new must-have 1st party games this gen, failed live service strategy (12 games and 9 are now dead?), Bungie acquisition, Concord, Factions nothingburger, failed PSVR2 strategy... I gotta run, but you get the picture.
I've always wondered why they don't remaster older goodies like Motorstorm, Resistance, Tokyo Jungle etc. Sony is sitting on a goldmine of great games that most users can't play anymore. I'm sure they would sell well enough to recuperate their remastering costs, especially if released on other platforms like PC as well.
I hope they try developing some of their ideas into a new franchise. Something more indie and cheaper to make than Dead Space/Callisto would be fine, great horror games don't necessarily need the best graphics.
Trover Saves the Universe
I never really got into Rick and Morty, and this game pretty much requires you to like that sort of humor. I just don't think its all that funny, to be honest. So what's left then is a pretty standard hack-and-slash platformer with some light puzzles.
HYLICS 2
Now this is more my jam. This is one of the weirdest RPGs out there, with a style that somewhat resembles those awkward looking animations on websites in the 90s. Lovely stuff.
Bioshock Infinite, which I haven't played since launch on PS3. So good, still! Just finished the campaign and about to start the DLCs (for the first time).
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Micro Machines V3 was what got me to buy a Playstation at the time. Me and friends would play it with 8 players locally and it was so much fun! You would need a multitap accessory to enable 4 controllers and then you would have to share each controller between two people to get all 8 players, so it was pretty crowded on the couch.
Vegemite...surfing... This must be the most Aussie thing I've read here yet. The only improvement I could see is adding a ", mate" at the end of every paragraph.
It's just sad how Playstation refuses to leverage their unique strength compared to Meta and PCVR by not making their big games playable in VR. Games made exclusively for VR will usually have smaller budgets because of the smaller userbase.
Just imagine games like Helldivers or Days Gone in VR. The games are already there, they just need to add the functionality, something that modders manage to do very well on PC.
I've said it before, but Sony should really consider remaking Concord as a first person shooter Metroidvania where the characters (who everyone hated) act as bosses that you can kill to learn their abilities instead. I honestly think it could be good with the right dev, and most assets are already there.
I have good memories of playing Haze with my flatmate at the time and laughing at the repeated quotes the NPC would say every 5 seconds. "Remember your promise to Merino! Remember your promise to Merino! Remember your promise to Merino!"
If they had learned anything then perhaps the Sony big shots who greenlighted the thing should face consequences too, but it seems like these guys only ever mange to fail upwards.
PS5 is doing very well, but I do think that is more because of the brand established by earlier generations of Sony than anything the current leadership has brought to the table.
@Zuljaras Have fun! The only problem is that there are so many mods that its overwhelming, to say the least. So Nexus mod lists and Wabbajack are a good start.
@Zuljaras Please use some mods, good man! I promise it makes the Bethesda games a lot better! I have Fallout 4 VR/Skyrim VR in my upcoming list too and plan on using the Mad God Overhauls + whatever else I fancy. FRIK is absolute must though (gives full body to VR): https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/53464
To be honest I know very little about Roblox... but it looks so damn lame in that image, like they just copied the looks of every other brand out there.

@nomither6 I blame it on horse armor.

Re: Naughty Dog Sold to Sony to Avoid Being 'Crushed' by Cost of Game Dev
Buying them was a good move for both Sony and ND, back in a time when Sony made mostly good decisions.
Letting people like Amy Hennig and Bruce Straley go was a bad move, in a time when Sony makes a lot of bad decisions.

Re: Alien: Rogue Incursion (PSVR2) - A Solid First VR Venture into an Iconic Sci-Fi World
It did look a bit janky in the trailers, especially the animations. But I like the setting and franchise enough to get it in a sale.
Re: Palworld's Biggest Ever Update Is Available Now on PS5
Well that's nice and all, but I prefer NTSC when given the choice.

Re: Deathstroke Completes Suicide Squad's PS5 Content Roadmap
There's still around 1000 people playing it on Steam, but then again it was only $5 a week ago.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Path of Exile 2?
No. the game looks great but I think it would be too time-consuming, and I already have a huge backlog of games to play.

Left 4 Dead 2 with VR mod and DoA characters for aesthetic purposes:

Marvel Midnight Suns with my incredible character, Chuck Fabio Norris:

6/10 sounds about right for Alan Wake though. Great story and fun characters, but gameplay was pretty mediocre at best.

I've been travelling Into The Radius. It's like a Stalker game in VR. Awesome game!
The gun handling and other VR mechanics are very good, as you can see in this clip where I test a sawed-off shotgun in the gun range.
