I only played it for about an hour yesterday so too early to judge it. It definitely needs an increase text size option though!

I’ll just have to cherry pick which games I buy. Whichever I don’t I’ll just pick up at a later date, probably in a sale. My biggest enemy isn’t money but time, finding the time to play all these games. It doesn’t help that I’m going away for a week in September so will lose a week’s play, but the games ain’t going anywhere so will still be there waiting for me when I get back 😂

I can’t stop playing Splatoon Raiders! It’s just so much fun and addictive. I’m now level 25 and have started doing “spicy” raids now too.
Still playing AC Black Flag Resynced and docked. I was playing Halo campaign evolved, but when I loaded up the game yesterday it had lost my save progress and reverted me to a save from a few hours earlier 😡 and tbh I can’t be bothered to play through it again.

Hope we get a native 4K/60 fps patch on consoles. Let’s see the great visuals really shine!

I don’t know why but I just couldn’t get into DL2, which is strange because I loved the first game.

Splatoon Raiders OMG this game is so much fun! I’ve always wanted the Splatoon gameplay but in a full single player game, and this delivers in spades.
AC Black Flag resynced Trying to take more forts, recruit more officers for the Jackdaw, and progress the main story.
Also still playing Docked, and Mouse PI for hire.

I reckon Horizon 3 will also be next year. 2027 is already looking great!

Just got home from work and wanted to play AC Black Flag resynced - a single player game - only to get the message “Can’t use this content. Can’t connect to the server to verify your license” !!! F*** you Sony 😡

Wildlands is probably my favourite out of the Ghost Recon games. Would be happy to dive back in.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought Origins was only “free” with the deluxe version of Legends? 🤔

Good to see Ubisoft are on top of things with this first patch, considering the game has only been out a week. I’m loving it so far, though my naval combat is a bit rusty 😂

What better way to spend this hot summer, than on the high seas as a pirate! I’m obviously talking about AC Black flag resynced I loved it first time around on the PS4, and now it just looks even more amazing on my pro. Also finally pulled the trigger this week on Mouse P.I. for hire. The art style is obviously the main draw here, and actually playing it in person it doesn’t disappoint.
Also playing Docked, and The adventures of Elliot.
After almost 200 hours I think my time with Crimson desert may be at an end. I came up against a brick wall, with the hugely annoying boss Storm crusher. Honestly don’t know if I’ll be carrying on.

I remember playing the original on my shiny new PS4 and loved it. Have the deluxe version downloaded and ready to go on my pro. Roll on tomorrow!

I let mine lapse a few weeks ago, which was before Sony’s announcement re physical discs. Unfortunately I haven’t had any offers from them yet to tempt me back. If they offer me a good deal I’ll probably take it.

Crimson desert Have now racked up around 185 hours, and amazingly still no sign yet of burnout! I keep saying I’m gonna focus on the main story… then I get sidetracked yet again 😂 this morning I grew my baby wyvern into a full grown mount. Then I got myself the “iron eagle” (mechanical bird) pet, which looks awesome.
Also playing the brilliant The adventures of Elliot, and Docked.
Away from video games, it’s also a great weekend of sport - it’s the F1 British Grand Prix, and then England playing tomorrow night in the World Cup!

I honestly can’t see why this news was “poorly timed”. A lot of PS5 games will still get physical releases for the foreseeable future. In fact, in light of the GTA 6 “code in a box” farce, some publishers have even been bragging about their forthcoming games getting physical releases.

There’s me thinking they will make the PS6 disc drive an optional accessory, to keep costs down. No, they’re not even going to give you that option! Assuming the PS6 will also play PS5 games, what happens if you have PS5 discs but the PS6 is digital-only?

@Rich33 thanks for your reply. In Crimson desert I’ve been mostly playing in the balanced mode, even though my tv doesn’t support either 120hz or VRR. So I’d don’t know what the frame rate is in that particular game.

The only game ever likely to beat it will be GTA 7 😂

As good as TLOU is, I would have taken Uncharted over TLOU in a heartbeat.

Can someone explain to me why some games - like this one - require a 120hz tv for “balanced” (40fps) mode. But other games, like Crimson Desert, let you play in “balanced” mode without the need for a 120hz tv 🤔

You’ll always get people that completely dismiss games running at 30fps, simply because they’re not 60fps. In my experience many games - when well optimised - run just fine at 30fps. I always try the “quality” (30fps) first, if it’s too choppy then I’ll switch to “performance” (60fps) mode. In the last year or so I’ve played the likes of AC Shadows, Death Stranding 2, and more recently Forza Horizon 6 - all at 30fps, because they were rock solid. I have faith that Rockstar will ship GTA 6 with a super smooth 30fps mode. It’s honestly not a big worry for me.

Obviously they’ve seen how successful the Switch/2 is and want a piece of the pie. I’m not that interested in a handheld from Sony tbh. I only have a Switch 2 for the Nintendo exclusives, and spend 99% of the time playing it docked.

I reckon there will be a physical disc version eventually. It maybe 6 months later, or even a year, but they (Rockstar/Take Two) know that some people will double dip, making them even more money.

I’m not happy about it, but this is probably a generational game. I will begrudgingly pay the extra.

The Adventures of Elliot This wasn’t even a game I was planning on buying, but after completing the generous demo I just had to buy the full game!
Crimson desert I’m currently on chapter 9. Have now decided to just focus on the main story, as my backlog - games like 007 First light, RE Requiem - is building up, and thats without forthcoming games like AC Black flag resynced.
Docked Still enjoying this docks sim, even though some of the management stuff can be confusing.

Doesn’t look like I’ll be buying any new consoles for some time. I just hope none of my current consoles break down 😳

Maybe they felt sorry for us because we are already being fleeced in all other areas of our lives 😂

I normally jump on a new console release on day 1, but won’t be doing so for the PS6. Apart from the (rumoured) high price, I’ve only had my Pro for a few months. It’s also a case of diminishing returns in terms of graphics. The biggest new draw for the PS5, and also Xbox Series consoles, was the SSD. I’m assuming the SSD will be the same for the PS6.

The physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI, containing a download code inside the box, will be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading.

This makes it sound like if you order the PE it will ship BEFORE 19 November so you can pre-load it 👀

I still haven’t played either 007 First Light or RE Requiem, which gives me something to look forward to. That’s if I can fit them in to an already packed year for games!

Apart from the usual staples - Crimson desert (160 hours and counting), and Forza Horizon 6 - I also added some new games to my rotation this week. Docked - love operating the vehicles and moving cargo around, not such a big fan of the management stuff, like processing and TEUs, so tend to pay for the AI to take care of it lol. The adventures of Elliot demo. Only played an hour or so but liking it so far. Reminds me of old Zelda games. I’ve heard it’s quite a generous demo, so won’t pull the trigger on the full game just yet.
Sker ritual bought this in a sale a while back, but only just started it. Feels very reminiscent of the old CoD zombie games so far, which is a good thing.

I think if they do decide to charge more than the standard price, it won’t be by much. They know it’s going to sell millions anyway.

Will definitely preorder, though not next week. Will wait until closer to the time. Honestly don’t see the point in ordering this early.

Coincidentally, I actually have a week off work when GTA 6 releases. If it had stuck to its May release date I would have been at work, but the delay actually worked out lucky for me.

This ban is for under 16 year olds, which effectively means that adults will now have to prove their age. “Protecting children” is just a smoke screen - it’s digital ID via the back door. And it’s a very slippery slope. Just look at China.

Easily Crimson Desert for me. I’m on around 155 hours so far and still having a blast.

Still mostly playing Crimson desert. Have now unlocked all elemental abilities - and I couldn’t quite believe just how many hoops you have to jump through to get them! Saying that, it was completely worth it! Have just started chapter 9, which means for the first time I’m finally in the titular region of the desert itself. Only took 150 hours lol!
In Bus bound I’ve finally upgraded all districts and unlocked all buses. Will probably take a rest from the game now until some DLC comes out.
During the week I bought another game published by Saber interactive - Docked - which I may start over the weekend.

I wonder how many unfinished games people will have from Sep/Oct when they all jump on GTA 6 😂

I never finished this game and want to go back to it at some point, especially now I have a Pro. But with so many games coming out this year I don’t know if I’ll have the time!

Bit of a niche title, but for me it was Bus bound. Had a lot of fun with this, and it’s such a chill game. I haven’t yet bought First light, but will probably buy it sometime soon.
