Rayman Legends Retold Now Out in December, PS5 Remake Delayed Two Months

But, if it means the game may come out without the obligatory massive day one patch, then I'm all for it.

Was looking forward to this on the 1/10/26.
If they have delayed to go after GTA6 then that’s a big mistake.
For £35 they should have kept the original date, now maybe too many will still be playing GTA6 to bother with this game.
I will still be buying this game on the 3/12/26 as it will make a great Christmas game.

December is going to be funny given Marathon S3 has also been delayed to December.

Rayman beating the hell out of Marathon is a real possibility.
But then again even Fart Simulator can beat Marathon player count.

You know what, this is good, my wallet can breathe and this can be my little xmas pressie to myself for being a good boy!

@Crimson_Ridley I'm going to assume the discs are already being pressed if it was just two and a half weeks out. That assembly takes some time. If anything, this more or less guarantees it WILL have a day one patch, at least the physical version.

Good. That gives Ubisoft more time to put the complete game on the disc. But they won't.... so I'll pick it up when it's $20 or less.

Good. There's already the Star Wars racing game, Castlevania, Phantom Blade, Final Fantasy, Switch Sports and others coming out in October...

A strange one! Did they find something that was very bad or is the marketing department saying there isn't enough buzz at the moment? Get it in the shelves for Christmas buyers as a brand new product 🤔

Legends retold is already on disc, think it’s just the enhanced remaster of Origins that’s a code or required downloading from the disc can’t remember which is it

@rusty82 it’s all part of growing up. I remember crying my eyes out when I learned that Crash Purple was out a week later than I thought.

I might actually find the time to play it and some refining is always good!

Remember croc legend of the gobbos later release led me to trade my PS1 for an N64 🤣

@ShadowRJ I did the same with GTA San Andreas when that got delayed by a week. Honestly thought my life was over. Man, I miss being a kid.

@Crimson_Ridley I’ve got to be honest, I remember being really upset over the delay of the PS5 reveal conference. I’ve never really stopped being a kid in that regard.

I think this will actually hurt sales. October 1st was a good 7 weeks before the juggernaut that is GTA 6. Now releasing just 2 weeks after GTA when a lot of players will be too busy playing GTA still.

"Gone gold" has meant nothing since Cyberpunk. Good on them for releasing the best possible version, though.

Nevermind, my ps5 backlog is already obscene. (Plus I keep wanting to replay old PS4/PS5 games). BTW, do all copies of the game have Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition, or just preorders?

Why are people happy about this? Did they not learn anything from Cyberpunk?

Also end of september/beginning of October was kinda crowded.

Beginning of december is mostly empty. So good period for a cozy Rayman game to come out in the holiday month.

What a shame. But also, good on Ubisoft for not releasing something not polished to a high standard. It seems they’re learning from past mistakes. Happy to wait, there’s lots to play!

Have my preorder for 32€ on disc which is fine. Plan was to play it before GTA… no huge deal then most likely after GTA

@Nightcrawler71 I'm a bit more optimistic than that. Even in its own release slot, Rayman Legends (a remake) would still have been competing with Ace Combat 8. And I think that this type of game will attract a different audience than GTA 6.

Plus this new week Rayman has dropped in is fairly quiet from a release perspective. Professor Layton is the only other big release that's out in December.
