We're in the midst of another heat wave here in the UK, but temperatures are projected to drop this weekend. Let's hope that happens sooner rather than later, because it's pretty unbearable here.

The Finals just launched its 11th season, Galaxy Masters, so the seasonal grind starts all over again. I'm loving the new map.
Jamie O'Neill
I'm craving for the PS3 port of Daytona USA from 2011, which is an especially nostalgic arcade racing game to crave for to be fair.

I'm going to be checking out these two new Call of Duty: Black Ops ports on PS5 this weekend. They don't sound very good, so wish me luck!
Sammy Barker
I'm playing a game I've been really looking forward to for quite some time: K-pop Idol Stories. Look out for my review somewhat soon.
That's what we're playing this weekend, then, but what about the rest of you? As always, let us know in the comments section below.

This weekend I will dedicate my time to MOUSE P.I For Hire on the Switch 2 and Heroes of Might and Magic III Horn of the Abyss (timeless masterpiece)
Have a great gaming weekend people!!!
AC Black Flag Baby
Ass Creed Black Flag Resynced on PS5 Pro.I didnt really play the original fully, hated the outdated stealth tailing and the ship stealth sections - really hoping they've gone ! Otherwise enjoying it, despite the usual clunky controls and its definitely a looker !
Forza Motorsport and Horizon 6 on XBX, two absolutely stellar racing games.
Hoping to finish DMC 4 on XBX on Dante Must Die mode but fear im way too old now 🤣🤣
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Trying to finish Persona 1 with the good ending. On the final dungeon now, and it’s enormous. Hope to finish it by the end of today.
Still on Final Fantasy 16.
When I'm done with it I'll start Pragmata.
I'm going to visit my local library as they sell a lot of games for cheap.
Have a great weekend!
Black Flag, it's pretty good, oh and it has sold 2M copies FYI
Adventures of Elliot, Shin Megami Tensei IV
Ahoy my hearties. Black flag resynced all the way.
Brilliant so far. Looks stunning, brilliant remake.
Also got Darwin's Paradox for £8
But main thing to say is COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!
Finished:
Playing:

This week i'm gonna played Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Resonance of Fate.
After that, i'm gonna watch a bunch of anime. This month has some bangers; the new The Ghost in the Shell, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, The Saga of Tanya the Evil season 2, and That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime season 4 ☺️

Have a fun and nice weekend everyone 🍻
AC Black Flag mostly it looks stunning and I've forgot most of the story so it's like a new game lol. Probably play some Battlefield 6 later on. I saw Mindseye is on sale for £11.99 tempted to buy it and see how bad it really is.
Clearing out the backlog: Mafia The Old Country and AC Mirage, with some GT7 Power Pack races on the side.
Managed to buy a Chrono Trigger for 3DS, so that’s what I’ll play for next few days
Me - still rolling through FFVIIR (Switch 2) over here. I've also downloaded a boat load of demos to try out this weekend. I may give RE2R (PS5) some more attention as well.
Wife - she's gotten very heavy into her Ghosts of Tsushima (PS5) playthrough.
Kids - Tomadachi Life (Switch Lites) and Minecraft (Switch Lites/PC)
Happy weekend everyone!
Some nice, gentle Civ VII while I nurse a hangover from day one of a stag do and prepare to head out on day two - which will no doubt involve convincing some lucky establishment to let ten drunk lads in to watch the England game...
Have a great weekend all - physical, digital or otherwise
Been playing Black Ops again and while it's barest of barebones ports it's actually been a lot of fun! I thought it would feel aged but it's actually more enjoyable than recent entries.
These campaigns were actually special and going back to them reminds me how I actually looked forward to a new Call of Duty.
Got to the end of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne last night - it was a good game. The difficulty curve was an interesting one - high in the beginning with a steep drop off towards the end. The art style of this era is fun to look at.
If I'm feeling more MegaTen, I could move on to Raidou Remastered or SMT V Vengeance. I did also finally beat the end of Trails in the Sky Chapter 1, so I could continue that as well. I'll for sure be playing some classic Resident Evil, maybe Nemesis since it's been a while.
I respliced the jank out of my trailer light wiring and knocked out yard work last night, so I'll be taking it easy indoors - we rescued two kittens this past week too, so it's a bit of a full house at the moment.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
I will be playing Granblue Fantasy Relink Endless Ragnarok dlc and Zenless Zone Zero.
I was planning on playing the Granblue Fantasy Relink expansion, but I turned it on the other day and couldn't remember who anyone was or how any of the game's systems worked.
So I'm playing Dredge instead. Enjoying it a lot so far.
Suppose to be in London for the weekend to see my brother. EasyJet strikes again and flights cancelled. So ill be sailing the high seas in Black Flag. Also might be part of the problem and get BLOPs at the discount price
I definitely plan to continue grinding for more digimon in Digimon Hacker's Memory - Cyber Sleuth periodt. I'm also tempted to get Kingdom Come Deliverance II for Hans but as everyone knows, the game has a difficulty curve...
Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend!
AC Black Flag Resynced - Finally, I've been waiting for this for a long time! Loved Black Flag back then and I love this remake. Its so awesome to sail the seas again, singing along with the shanties and looking for loot! Its a great remake imo, as they've kept the old game minus the modern day stuff, put in some minor improvements and underwater exploration for example, and a good graphical overhaul. Its all I ever wanted from it 🙂🏴☠️ Now back to the Jackdaw!
Have a great weekend!
On my Pro, I just need to get one more Trophy to get the final Platinum in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. The Trophy in question is raising a weapon to level 10, so I just need to get aboard the Normandy at the start of the game, and it'll pop once I get to the armoury.
On my Series X, I'll be undertaking yet another Master run in Gears 5 Horde, with a team of just 3 on what is meant to be a team of 5 event. They have proven to be very difficult, but we have now managed 22 of the 37 maps, which is pretty good going, and I would suggest probably not have been done by anyone else in the World. I will also finally pop the Re-Up 60 Achievement today, and it has only taken just over 2000 hours too...! 😂
I will also be playing through Dying Light: The Beast in co-op once more on my Series X, but this time undertaking New Game Plus on a higher difficulty . And then lastly, I will probably start playing the new Lego Batman game at some point if I have chance...
I'll be continuing playing resident evil requiem some eafc 26 and definitely some Forza horizon 6!
Happy weekend folks ignore the negativity it's not worth it!
I will continued playing fan favorite the incredible psychonauts 2.i will also continued playing one of the best horror games ever in the amazing little nightmares 2.i will also continued playing one of the best video games ever in the excellent nine sols. And I will be continued playing the instant classic the phenomenal 13 sentinels. I will be watching the world 🌎 cup soccer. I will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers.married with children.and saved by the bell.word up son
Ghost Of Yotei and Donkey Kong 64
@Bot_Bot_69 Beaver bother is the worst mini game ever invented
Spent most of the week working through Vampire Survivors on Switch but have been drawn back into MGSV: Ground Zeroes after many years and looking to 100% that. Got an S rank in the Kojima rescue mission which was much harder than I remember it being 😂
Have a boss weekend everyone 👍
@Oram77 And possibly something you could get arrested for, unless it's not what I'm thinking.
Continuing my playthrough of Airoheart. I must be nearing the end of the game now but I’ve really enjoyed it. I have a couple of gripes with the game but overall I recommend it to anyone who has a craving for an old school SNES adventure.
Maybe bust out the PS3 for a bit of Infamous 2 before the online trophies become unobtainable.
Just got a Sinden Lighten and a Batocera build so I'll mostly be blasting through Time Crisis, Virtua Cop, House of the Dead and Point Blank
Continuing First Light which is excellent, the story would be a great movie the writing & performances are really impressive. The gadgets are great fun, don't really want it to end! If I get it finished I will start up Mouse PI as my disc copy arrived!
Come on England and happy gaming folks
@Marquez 🤣🤣
I finally got SSX3 on my Steamdeck, great fun playing this again after all those years. It holds up brilliantly. Why don’t they make games like this?! I’m also playing Ico, Silent Hill 3 and GTA4 all for the first time. I like Niko and Liberty City!
Busy week for me:
Got the PS5 Pro and started Lego Batman. It's fine. Not really grabbing me despite being a big Batman fan
On the media side? Re-watching the ever fantastic Person of Interest. Started and really loving X-Men 97. Same for Saru's Ghost in the Shell adaptation. With movies I saw Minions and Monsters. A solid 7/10. Weak finale hurt a othwrwise fun ode to classic cinema.
Not much this weekend as I'm travelling down to London, might squeeze in some Diablo IV on Sunday night once I'm back. Or carry on with my 5th (full) playthrough of Elden Ring.
Black Flag Resynced for me this weekend & maybe some Deadbydaylight.
Outer Worlds 2. Enjoying the whole vibe. A nice change up from KCD2
Tears of the Kingdom: Going straight from Breath of the Wild to this is a trip. All of the new abilities are great, with Ultrahand allowing for practically unlimited creativity, but my personal favorite is Ascend. It's so easy to forget how useful this can be, but I do remind myself while climbing up mountainsides or in caves or even the Depths, "Hey, I've got a pretty handy shortcut anytime I see an outcropping"; it makes traversal much less of a hassle.
The graphics were already great but pop so much more on the Switch 2, as my playthrough of this second version of Hyrule is proving, and I look forward to sinking another 230 hours into it.
AC Black Flag remake for me. So far its been a excellent remake.
@Marquez I wore this for the court hearing;

Platted Alan Wake 2. Continuing BG3 2nd run, found some new world i never found in my1st run. Somehow went back to Fallout 4 & Skyrim again and again. Might just keep tarrying in RDR2 and Elden Ring. Yeah and Go England! Take it home finally.
@Oram77 Incredible
I’m playing the game of trying not to buy any new games til September while being caught up with the backlog.
And Rhythm Heaven Groove
Black Flag. It feels good to relive what Ubisoft used to be like.
"I'm going to be checking out these two new Call of Duty: Black Ops ports on PS5 this weekend. They don't sound very good, so wish me luck!" So they were reviewed yesterday (4/10) but you are checking them out this weekend 🤔. Anyway I just bought mandragora because it's finally hit a sale after god knows how long and it's a damn nice metroidvania/souls type game which I can't recommend enough if you like these games. So I will be playing that as its too damn hot to go playing golf today. The usual marathon session and a spot of rallying oh and of course England v Norway..Have a great weekend everybody 👍
Dragon Warrior (NES) - Farming for XP/Gold to get to Level 9 and also get a Large Shield.
Jet Car Stunts (Windows Phone) - Finally returned to this as well.
Hexic (Windows Phone) - Still been playing daily.
Also acquired a sealed copy of The Sopranos: The Complete First Season on VHS at a farmers market yesterday. My wife informs me she has never seen the show, a egregious error we will have to correct this weekend!
@PuppetMaster ooohhh some classic gaming there ! Brings back memories
Still making my way through Avowed. I'm actually liking it more and more the further in I get.
I'll also be dipping in and out of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. I know the campaign isn't meant to be great, but so far, it's a masterpiece compared to the one in Black Ops 7.
Wall to wall football. FC26 in preparation for the England game tonight
I won’t have a lot of time to play this weekend as I’m going to be pretty busy, but what time I do have will be spent playing the absolutely excellent LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight. It’s truly an excellent game and you can tell a lot of love and care went into making it. It’s also a bit of a different LEGO game in that it doesn’t follow all of the same mechanics and conventions that every other LEGO game does, which makes it a bit refreshing to play. Anyway I hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend and no rage quitting! 😉
ALSO: Since USA got knocked out by Belgium I’ll be pulling for England to win it all. Hope they can do it but they’re going to be facing some stiff competition from here on out. Best of luck to them!!
I’m finishing up House Flipper: Remastered, before jumping headlong into Black Flag; for the rest of the boiling weekend.
I am playing Black Flag: Resynced, and having a blast with it. In 2013, I thought it was the best pirate simulator I had ever seen, and I am loving it again in 2026. Having so much fun!
Working on several games right now : Legacy of Dark Knight and Mouse PI are my main focus, but I also started The Librarian on my PC. In between those I’ll be checking out and revisiting Remnant 2, which has been a great comfort food game as people might say. Enjoy the weekend all!
This is three weeks now that I haven’t played a single game, and by far the longest break. I did buy Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced so I might play that, but eh. I think I’m going to go to the comic store today and find some back issues from series I’ve been missing.
Mouse P.I. physical arrived Friday and checking out some more physical older PS4 games for PS5 Pro upgrades and what games run w/o update from the collection, same with my xbox. Infamous: FL/SS and Immortals Fenyx Rising(SeriesX) on the menu for today.
Keep dooming it up in the Doom Dark Ages DLC. The DLC is fantastic, id cooked like crazy with it.
Maybe Darwin paradox. I see it’s 9.99. Anyone play it ?
I have been playing Baldur's Gate 3 on Tactician level.
I have been having a lot of fun:
Replaying as a good guy really makes me want to start a dark urge playthrough.
Currently playing the Resident Evils again, done with 1, 2, and 3 PSX versions and started CVX last night (NTSC version, made a US account specifically for it as the PAL slowdown makes anything with a timer significantly harder as everything is about 30% slower but the timer wasn't adjusted to reflect that, so anything you have plenty of time for on NTSC can be pretty tight on PAL).
I could stream the PS3 version but then can't use the Portal to play it so the PS2 version has to do.
71 hours later and all 3 main questlines for assassins creed odyssey done. Now time for dlc . Also second week in of playing Abiotic Factor. Got a "cosy" base going, until a bloody security robot scared the living crap out of me by being just outside, and I forgot to fix the shutter.
I'm in Mementos, running over shadows in a van that can turn into a cat that thinks it's human.
Also 🇳🇴 v 🏴
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Star Fox Assault.
@Bot_Bot_69 how do you like Yotei compared to Tsushima?
Expedition 33, this will be the main game I play but I’ll try to squeeze in a fighting game. Probably Fatal Fury COTW.
Camping so no PS5 just beer, sun and watching England. I brought the switch with me so a little Brotato in amongst all that.
Have a cool gaming weekend Pushsquarians 💪🍺
What better way to spend this hot summer, than on the high seas as a pirate! I’m obviously talking about AC Black flag resynced I loved it first time around on the PS4, and now it just looks even more amazing on my pro. Also finally pulled the trigger this week on Mouse P.I. for hire. The art style is obviously the main draw here, and actually playing it in person it doesn’t disappoint.
Also playing Docked, and The adventures of Elliot.
After almost 200 hours I think my time with Crimson desert may be at an end. I came up against a brick wall, with the hugely annoying boss Storm crusher. Honestly don’t know if I’ll be carrying on.
Finished FFVII Remake last weekend, and I started Kena: Bridge of Spirits today. At first, I wasn't sure I was really feeling it, but the more I play, the more I'm enjoying myself.
It is the high seas for me - I'm really enjoying Black Flag all over again! I'm having to odd go of guitaroo man as I'm stuck on early levels and need to get through,. But its mainly Black Flag.
What's ever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun.
I’ve never played Palworld before and it’s only 30 bucks so I’ll give that a try. I’ve also been playing the Myst remake on PS5. We had it on iMac when I was a kid and it was new but I never got very far. This time I’m kind of breezing through it but it’s enjoyable for nostalgia purposes. Might have to give Riven a try afterwards.
So this weekend I will be taking to the seas of the Carribean for.....
Jaws Retro Edition (Switch) What you'd thought there would be another game set on a ship in the Carribean that I would be playing? Anyway I have really been enjoying this game. The improvements they made to this game makes it alot more enjoyable while still retaining that NES charm. Looking to finish Chapter 2 this weekend and start Chapter 3.
Forza Horizon 6 (Series X) Will be doing my seasonal objectives. Still enjoying this game alot. As with all FH games this is one that will be installed on my console for awhile.
Non gaming this weekend I will be going to my local Game Cafe to play some D&D for an event they are having and of course I will be watching the World Cup.
Playing a few different games atm:-
I'm kinda on a Horizon kick as I played around in Forbidden West and now went back to HZD Remastered and liked it. But the Square Enix sale got me to purchase Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster so I may try that out later today. I've fallen off of The Adventures of Elliot even though I'm close to the end (28hrs so far)
Hope everyone has a great gaming weekend. Don't let the headlines get you down!
Started Mouse P.I. and it’s a fun game, but pivoted to Infamous 2 to get those online trophies before the servers go down so I can still get the platinum.
Alan Wake 2 (PS5) - Almost done with Saga’s chapters.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch 2) - 1 Power Star down, 241 to go.
@Oram77 I've still got that to look forward to on this playthrough. There's lots of jank but I love this era of 3D platformers.
@Gryffin I think overall I prefer Yotei. But both are incredibly good. Did you have a favourite?
Completely immersed in FFXVI. Plus finishing my spreadsheet and algorithm with ChatGPT to help prioritise my 30 game backlog target (from a backlog of about 150) 🤪😆
I had a break from gaming for some weeks (heat, lot of work, sick) so really not in the mood to play anything. But this week I played something finally. Firstly played Adventures of Elliot demo on steamdeck and enjoyed it, great game for steamdeck. Then I played The Shore on steamdeck - short one with interesting start but quickly turned into frustrating sci-fi nonsense and did not finish it. Finally, started Stellar Blade I purchased on disc long time ago - after dissapointing announcement by Sony, promised myself to play my backlog physical games in foreseeable future.
Also be watching World Cup, hope the best team will win!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
@Bot_Bot_69 I've played only Tsushima, which I loved. I never upgraded to a PS5, and now I'm not sure I ever will. The value proposition was never attractive enough to me. The library overall, I think, is still really weak, which is one of the many reasons I think the PS6 is coming far too early. Alternatively, I just spent like $400 on an Analogue Pocket and accessories, which shows my gaming priorities. Love it, by the way.
still not sure, i am between Infamous 2 because Platinum trophy wont be obtainable in September.
or maybe heavenly sword.
Playing AC: BF Resynced
Playing Resident Evil Code Veronica
Doom Dark Ages: Revelations, which is incredible. I got my Banjo/Rare Super Pocket in the mail this morning, but I am not sure if I am going to open it, gift it, or save it as a cool collectible (I already have a Neo Geo black Super Pocket). Still on Parking Garage Rally Circuit. It's like a lost Saturn arcade racer. Check it out!
I'm still playing Final Fantasy VII classic, plus NBA 2K25. I just went back and started playing NFL 2K5
Honestly, I’ve been taking a little break on gaming since I beat ‘Resident Evil: Requiem’. No game has been speaking out to me as of late. I was debating NG+ of ‘Metaphor Re:Fantazio’ but with ‘Persona 4 Revival’ in February, I don’t want ‘Persona Burnout’.
When I next boot the bad boy up, I’m probably next continuing Death Stranding 2 or playing Hard Mode of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Surviving Mars 🌕
@Gryffin I was late to PS4 so I've played many PS5 versions of it's library, Tsushima being half on each. So from my perspective it's been worth it as there's been a lot to play, though it's baffling how little first party stuff has been released and all the cancellations too.
I'm envious of the Pocket! Though I do have the 3D, which is incredible. Got my fingers crossed for a re-release of the SNES one but with 4K CRT filters.
Edit: I think it's too early for PS6 too.
There's only one answer for me this weekend, Palworld 1.0. The game feels better than ever and I've already found and captured some of the new Pals. I've said it before but if anyone was on the fence (over the years) now is the time to jump in. It's a lot more forgiving when it comes to time spent on things like gathering and resources. The reason being each Pal has worker abilities. For example one will plant crops, another will water them, the same for harvesting and you can set what materials/resources go where, in no time at all the basics like food/stone/lumber are covered by automation. Combat and exploration too, they can fight, fly, gallop and so on. My Fox below doubles as a handheld flamethrower, then there are guns lots of guns. The world feels fully fleshed out now too, they added so much.
I haven't done much with building on this new playthrough yet. It's mostly all wood but it's coming together nicely. My home is located on the middle plateau between two waterfalls, great for defense too, eventually the raids will come. I like to focus on the aesthetics and so gone for a kind of Japanese kabuto helmet shape for my home. I haven't been playing enough to unlock stone, but soon hopefully.
That's about it, happy gaming weekend Folks.
@The_Elder Great choice, in a sea of Black Flags this jumped out. Are you playing the DLCs too? It's really satisfying turning the Red Planet green. It's a shame the trains weren't a little more interesting, Surviving the Aftermath is a lot of fun too but more brutal in-terms of events. It's a little like Frostpunk, just not as hardcore.
From my last playthrough.
@GirlVersusGame I'm playing the Relaunched edition so I think it might include some DLC? I'm only about 35 hours in my first playthrough, maybe I'll check the DLC later. I love Haemimont Games, Stranded: Alien Dawn was great too!
Played a lot of Frostpunk 2, a post apocalyptic city simulator in which the world is a frozen wasteland. Initially people are just happy to survive (poor decision making on my part killed more than a few of them 😋) but as time passes and your city expands you not only face hard choices but have to deal with factions. Most citizens just are content with whatever so long as it works but the factions have strong opinions about what exactly should be done.
Broadly speaking one faction is collectivist and traditionalist the other is individualistic and pragmatic. One faction favors sending kids to school so they can learn and then go to whatever career suits them best which makes for people who enter the workforce only as adults but do so with a lot of skill. The other faction favors kids working alongside their parents and learning their trade which boosts the size of your workforce but decreases quality because not everyone wants to have the exact same career their parents did. There are similar schisms about heat distribution (let the homeless freeze or spend precious heat on common areas), funerals (bury people with elaborate ceremonies or harvest their bodies for useful stuff and dump them) and public health (mandatory quarantines vs just having the sick wear scarlet letters and letting healthy people decide how much they interact with them).
There are a lot of issues that are cropping up that I have yet to address (muggings have started happening which is going to mean police, prisons and executions). Good stuff. The menu system is complicated but eventually one gets the hang of it.
I’ve also played quite a bit of Helldivers 2 (with squads of randoms) and Guilty Gear Strive (just the single player stuff).
@The_Elder 35hrs sounds about right, I better not say my hours. Relaunched has the DLC so you're all set. Like a lot of Paradox games we had to wait for each DLC and then like Relaunched they finally bundled them all with upgraded performance and graphics, especially for Cities Skylines.
I still need to try Stranded: Alien Dawn, I was ready to and then found Space Engineers, those next couple of weeks went by fast, I'll have to go back and try it. I love colony sim games but they often go unnoticed on console, many still don't know Rimworld is on console. If Dwarf Fortress ever makes the jump I'll switch with that game too. That's if I ever break free of Palworld. Have you played much of Cities Skylines or Jurassic Park Evolution 2, the former is challenging for newcomers but is a lot of fun once you get to grips with the basics and the Industry DLC is a game changer. I thought I wouldn't try Evolution 2, then I did and got hooked. I had to rewatch all of the movies again too, it's a really good game.
As a fan of the zombies experience prior to it going open world and mad, I literally only brought black ops because I saw it had the zombie maps from resurrection pack, der reise and under nach toten
Absolutely stoked to have those playing again and full lobbies, guess I’m not the only one who likes them
@CheesyOatcake If you get stuck again there's a great content creator called City Planner Plays. He uses his actual profession to teach tips and tricks and he's very beginner friendly. My first few cities turned into chaos, now I'm a lot more confident with each playthrough and a lot of that came from watching his videos. Evolution 2 is really good, I didn't expect much either but when I realized I had two copies it made sense to move it up the list.
Palworld is extremely addictive, I told myself I'd spend an hour to go gather ore, three-hours later and I'd gone through multiple dungeons, captured some great new Pals and collected so much loot. It's really easy to get sidetracked. Pro tip though, disable structure decay in your world settings. If it's enabled structures you built will slowly despawn over time unless they are within the radius of your base. It's something that gets all new players. Once you unlock and place a palbox you'll be able to claim the land properly but many people don't realize that, they then build, and can't figure out why they fell through the floor. I was building a bridge base the first time it happened to me, the foundation was the first thing I'd placed so it was the first to despawn. My whole base came down and buried me underneath.
I don't understand why Daytona USA HD is being kept being stuck on the older platforms.
Black Flag Resynced. Having a ball!
I've recently downloaded JDM, Japanese Drift Master, which is good fun.
