CDPR forcing me to do a 13th playthrough. They're sick in the head.

Well Damn! I’d happily pay for the Witcher 3 yet again! Well if they put out one more final physical edition haha.

They are also even giving away the current story expansion dlc for anyone who owns the base game already. This was really quite the announcement. Definitely am surprised by the amount of free stuff they are giving away, but then again let’s not never forget cyberpunk 2020👀

CDPR are never satisfied with their work. At this rate we could have the FINAL FINAL FIIIINAL most seriously FINAL upgrade for Witcher 3 and CP2077 for PS10. 😂

You should mention the free expansions too! This was a great reveal!

Very happy with this. Had been putting off continuing my first play through, only a few hours in, until after GTA6 but before the new DLC.

A lot of what they mentioned addresses issues I probably had with the game as someone coming to it late. No question over the quality of the storytelling though.

I’m trying to spend less on PS at the moment to send Sony a message, free updates like this are perfect!

Damn, this may be the thing I need to finally try to get into this game. I've tried a few times but fell off it as I found it too clunky but have always been keen to play through it properly

My kid started the PS5 version - guess we’ll be seeing a lot of comparison videos any second now - and they didn’t like the combat so they stopped. I’m hoping after playing all 3 Darksiders games, starting tonight, W3 with these new improvements will seem better. 😁

Game is so huge I've never completed it. Guess this will be the time.

Been slowly replaying the game since they announced the expansion so i think i might put that on hold now 😂

I was honestly watching this thinking it would be a full new buy or a decent priced upgrade path and I would have happily paid it. For them to throw it out for free however to hype people for the new DLC is incredible. Hats off to CDPR

EDIT: Also is it bad that in the year of GTAVI a part of me hopes they allow The Witcher 3 Remake to compete for and win GOTY.

Hell yeah, play it annually anyway. Have it on steam too but I reckon the deck will struggle. But of there's cross save who knows.

Interesting I bought the GOTY edition on PS4 years ago for like £15 and I haven't tried it yet now will be a good time since it's got an upgrade

@JalapenoSpiceLife The thing is, depending on just how much of an overhaul the remaster turns out to be, there's a good chance that many existing mods won't work as intended.

But you're right, CDPR did promise mod support for consoles, but we haven't heard anything about it since it was delayed months ago (it might have been last year, I can't quite remember).

I've tried to play this game twice before. It's obviously brilliant but something just didn't click. Partly the combat and some of the more dated elements. Third times the charm perhaps?!

@ShogunRok I tried looking online, but I don't suppose you know (or could find out) if old or current saves will work with the update, or if it would need a fresh playthrough?

I'm 30 hours into a new playthrough and would be tragic to have to start again (as great a game as it is). @DennisReynolds We might be in the same boat!

I could never get into it when it first released.

Then i read the books and watched the series and really enjoyed which forced me to try and play again.

I got further but the combat and how old the game was, I just couldn't.

But if the combat has been re done and graphics have become better. I think this maybe the time to try again.

I just can't remember if I got a digital version of the game or not on ps5, or was I using the os4 disc version I have
