Looking to continue playing Onimusha. Not sure how far I am in the game but I'm having a ton of fun with it.

I will be playing one of the greatest video games ever made in the excellent ghost of tsushima director cut.and I will be playing one of the best fps games ever made in the incredible fallout 4 game of the year edition. I will be watching my pittsburgh steelers 💛 🖤 play.nfl season is back. Oh yeah.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers.married with children.and saved by the bell.word up son

I’m near the end syberia 3, it’s enjoyable but kinda bad, after that’s wrapped up i’ll start syberia the world before, i hear it’s allegedly good.

I keep having moments of 'is this the same game?', it's got a little of everything and I've never seen anything like it before. It's been weeks and I'm still in the starter area doing quests and frequently finding new mechanics.

• Battling mighty Mice and putting the beatdown on tough Tomcats in Mewgenics

I don't really know how to explain the game in a way that isn't a little inappropriate, but I'll try.

It's a role-playing roguelike that uses tactics and smarts to defeat cats, rats, mice and other nefarious types. The idea is to breed an army of geared up and capable feline fighters, how do you breed such cats? Well that's a little tricky to explain, other than they get down to funky town. And speaking of Funky Town the game has a really unique score that sounds like a mix of lounge music and jazz, I keep finding myself singing along to tracks like 'Cat fight, cat fight tonight, nunchucks, switchblades, alright, baseball bats and sharp spikes, step off, or there's gonna be a cat fight, got cat? let's fight' and 'Bones littered at my feet, all I've got is rats to eat, I'm not the cat you wanna meet, what's your business on my street?', it's a brilliant score.

The game also has a very simple and straight forward house management system. When not out in the world your cats (come the moonlight) will either get funky with each other and a kitten will be born (a rough looking one that would give Quasimodo a run for his money) or they'll fight and it will be cat Thunderdome. Strays also arrive, and they are equally rough looking. Under all that grime and jazz is a really clever genetics system. Each kitten can inherit it's Parents traits, meaning a really fun and random set of skills and stats (mutations) collars can also be unlocked to form a squad of cat clerics/ mangey mages/ dank damage dealers/ and tubby tanks, trinkets can also be gathered on each adventure.

There are also random events such as 'will you eat this unknown fleshy substance on the ground?', bosses offer unique challenges and because your cats eventually get retired (recycled, down the pipe) each run is different, strays and offspring really keep the game fresh. Returning from the overworld map with your paws full of loot is a lot of fun, the tactical elements are just enough of a challenge to allow for some out of the cardboard box thinking.

Combat is done through a ten by ten tactical grid, there are ten unlockable classes (I know from my time on Steam) all kinds of fun abilities and elements to play around with. It's rather simplistic but that's the beauty of the game, it doesn't have the adrenaline of a Vampyre Survivors, it's more laidback and definitely respects pace. Permadeath also keeps things interesting, but it's really hard to run out of cats. And for anyone wondering I tested it on the Portal too, it plays like it was built for a handheld, responsive, and gorgeous. It also features a well designed and humorous tutorial. I might also be testing Valheim, I've played both games on PC and Valheim was a lot of fun and fully viable solo. So that's about it happy gaming weekend Folks 🍵

Mostly Onimusha and Dawnwalker, but I’ve been working my way through FFIV too, so I might throw some of that in if I have some down time.

ZERO COMPANY: unlocked second specialisations. So Hawks is now a Heavy/Assault operator. Run into combat using Bull Rush, taunt and retaliate. Easy peasy. Game is great but I'm getting a little tired of enemies constantly getting reinforcements in a mission. It's okay for some side content to be quick. Not every fight needs to be padded by adding half a dozen B1 Droids.

It Takes Two: near the end I think. Trying to turn the relation-***** into a relation-Ship (little Hakim jiggles as I say it). It deserves all the awards it got. Freaking love these coop games. Will try to get Orbitals soon.

Today or tomorrow i will buy Wolverine. I am in the mood for something more blockbuster-y after these puzzle based games.

Finishing Onimusha and then may finally start Dawnwalker.

• I was ready this time, I had fun trying to summarize Mewgenics it gave me a project to work on, then it was the wait of 'will it pop tonight again?'. Are you injecting any Metal into your weekend or is it too early to tell? The Cure is keeping me company tonight while I wander through Crimson Desert, not too heavy.

On PS5 I've recently started Code Vein 2 and Full Metal Schoolgirl, so I will be continuing with those and working my way through ZZZ to try and get Claret.

On Switch 2 I will be hoping to finish with Splatoon Raiders and Star Fox Remake, then onto finishing Shuten Order.

Toxic Commando! It's beat my low expectations by quite a bit. It's a lot of fun!

Just finished Plague Tale Requiem really enjoyed it. I've now started Trails in the sky first chapter only played about an hour so far looking forward to getting stuck in in the morning. I'm near the end of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined on Switch hopefully finish that this weekend.

I was going to play Wolverine, but I hear there’s no need as it plays itself … ba dum tss.

Jesting aside, some multiplayer fun in a handful of games, the classic go to fare that many here detest more than a cheese grater to the nipple.

Then diving into The Witcher series because, well, I clearly have more of a free weekend than I planned. I have no idea if I’ll mesh with it, but a fair few claim it’s rather good.

Then going out on the motorbike, where me and the missus shall be doing some archery and rock claiming (edit:climbing, but that made me laugh) apparently. Which I’ll be crossing my fingers that it has nothing to do with life insurance.

Wooo, Another Friday Night WAYP! I'm STILL playing the delightful Star Wars Zero Company 41hrs in. It's the beat SW game I've played in almost 10 years. Also watching CPL T20 Cricket. After that it will the FF Resonance Demo

Warframe got me by the dangles! So much to grind through!

I just finished the platinum for Mortal Shell 2, which stands in my top three GOTY right now. So next up is Onimusha WOTS and when I need a break from that I purchased Midnight Fight Express in a sale recently. I may also return to some smaller indie games as well. Just balancing it all until Control Resonant later this month!

@Onearmbandit I have a stomach bug/infection, I prefer your heavy Devy bug, Avatar is a good choice. Northern_Munkey helped me get into Zed Zeppelin this week so I'll be over the hills and far away with a whole lotta love on that stairway to Heaven, with a black dog by side rambling on. I might also try The Grateful Dead, I haven't tried them before and I'm curious.

Some people recommended some great music here recently. I knew of Jimmy Page, but I'd never really sat down and listened to Zeppelin until he mentioned some tracks, I ended up listening to every album they ever released. I'll be fitting in some Nick Cave, Tom Waits and the man in black himself Johnny Cash. Have a great weekend, nice to hear from you again.

Was blood of the dawn walker but delivery got delayed now its ballxpit which is pretty fun the indie scene is bringing a lot of creativity.

As others, playing Zero Company and it's great, wish it ran a little better on Pro but it just got a patch, so there's hope for more to come.

I just beat Dawnwalker. Def my goty so far. Can’t decide what to play next. Considering starting a new game in Crimson Desert since I haven’t played in a long time and it’s had tons of updates. Or maybe no mans sky with giant update just coming out.

Dragon firing starscourge Radahn with a faith build this time in Elden Ring. Karlach and friends investigating at the crossing and lower city of Baldur's Gate. Hunting and crafting in MHWilds, endgame is really tough. Still taking gigs in the lovely world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Blades of Fire. 1 more trophy for platinum! After that, I’ll chill out on gaming while waiting for The Witcher 3 Remaster.

Am going to see acdc live in Montréal but sadly I got no backlog and no games to play. I finished all the ones that were for me.

Am waiting for Wolverine even if am gonna be disappointed

Just continuing Doom 3 BFG edition. Currently at level 18-Delta Labs sector 3, blasting zombies and demons with rocket launcher.

But it's kinda funny looking at some reviewers and people chewing out Wolverine because the game "basic, linear, and repetitive". But here i am having a lot of fun with Doom 3 which is also basic, linear, and repetitive of slaying demons from one area to another, getting attack / jump scare out of nowhere, and collecting PDA to open locked doors / storage repeats.

I never understand some critics obsessions of making bloated gameplay with gazillion of mechanics and 100 hours stuff to do as a good thing. I rather replay simple and linear games like Contra, Doom, or Ghost n' Goblins for a thousand time rather than replaying Assasins Creed or Persona 5 which was fun for the first playthrough but not for the second playthrough.

Hey y’all! I’m getting back into games and diving into the backlog - I just finished Star Wars Outlaws so I’ll be going through the story dlc next.

I'll be hanging out on Haddonfield most of the weekend, having great fun in Halloween the Game.

Dawnwalker, nearing the end, on the big guy next then I'll just do the activities and wrap up other quests hopefully.

Crimson moon for me. Love the game. No doubt I've got some rally time trial challenges going to be thrown my way so they will be on the cards as well. Have a great weekend folks 👍

Final Fantasy VII, for the first time. The PS4 port, that is. Playing it in preparation for the Remake trilogy once part 3 drops next year.

Completed Miniatures yesterday which is four interactive stories that takes about an hour to complete. Each section feels different to one another although all have an ominous feel. Overall really enjoyed it.

After that I started on HYPERBEAT, a rhythm game, which I'm not particularly good at, but finding it fun enough to want to finish.

Will chuck some more hours into HLL: Vietnam too.

Replaying God of War Ragnarok in preparation for God of War Laufey come February. 2026 ends with a bang & 2027 is full of bangers as well

I'm still happily plugging my way through dragons dogma 2, and retrying generation zero again. Maybe a bit of minecraft dungeons to prepare for the second game (as and when I decide to try it). Otherwise I'm slowly making my way through No Mans Sky. The most wonderful thing is having so many years of content and no focus so I dart between activities getting nowhere . Love it though.

Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. This weekend I will be playing Metroid Prime 4 and the free trial of Final Fantasy XIV. These might be the last games i play before the tidal wave of Ocarina and GTA 6 hits. Happy gaming time everyone.

Dragon's Dogma 2 from the very beginning again. It took a good hour or two just to make my character and main pawn but I do love a good character creator.

I'm also playing what is arguably the best Marvel game to date, Guardians of the Galaxy. I prefer the characters in the game over the film adaptations.

Finished Dawnwalker with eight days left, the time mechanic is really not an issue by the end! Great game. I was trying to decide if I like more than pragmata or resi for my favourite this year, but then I played about six hours of Onimusha and there seems to be another contender! Capcom on a major roll this year

Playing Wolverine. If Liam thinks that's an 8 out of 10, he needs to take a break. That game is utterly devoid of originality and creativity. The UI and overall game design is abysmal. Skillup's review is spot on. Watch that and see what I mean. I'm playing on but I don't know if I can be bothered to finish it, it's that dissapointing.

Just downloaded Ball x Pit. So between that and KCD2.

More Bloodborne platinum hunting. Destroyed one reborn last night (think I’m a bit op) although he’s not that difficult anyway. Hopefully squeeze some GT7 daily racing at Bathurst too.

@4fold you grabbed ball x pit so forget about playing anything else. It's so addictive and great fun.

Another playthrough of Sekiro. In my opinion, one of the best games ever made, and would recommend it to anyone, despite the initial challenge.

Re-playing Control and it's a rare case of improving over the first play through, what an all timer. Can not wait for the sequel. In Remedy I trust ✊

Still enjoying Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. I don't generally like open worlds, but this one has been really fun to explore. It doesn't feel like a slog like others do.

I'm glad a lot of people are enjoying Onimusha. It's on the shelf, and I'm really looking forward to it. Also added to the shelf this week were Dragon Quest III HD-2D (unplanned, the price was too good) and the Trails from Zero / Trails to Azure double pack for PS5.

Football is back, so I'll be watching Ohio State vs Texas today and Pittsburgh vs Atlanta tomorrow.

Hopefully this is the last week for temperatures over 100F. Fingers crossed.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - I'm prepping for my climb up Death Mountain.

Dragon Warrior (NES) - I'm now scouting out Erdrick's Armour and grinding for XP.

Angry Birds Stella (Windows Phone) - This may have some of the puzzles I've enjoyed the most out of this series. Angry Birds Star Wars is still my fav though.

Considering I won't be dying sick this weekend with a fever like last weekend I'll be having some good gaming over the next couple days I'll be playing mafia 3 and probably some eafc25 happy weekend folks

The GTA VI preview made me realise I never got the trophy for studying all the animals in Red Dead II, something that has always nagged at my conscience. I've downloaded my save from the cloud (last touched in 2021) and I've got 23 left to find. I've loaded up on predator bait and tinned beans and I'm ready to go. Last night it took a couple of hours to find a gull. This could take longer than expected.

Also continuing with Plague Tale Innocence - the gameplay is a bit trial-and-error, but the story is good.

Pokémon Pokopia: As someone who's not really into life sims (never tried Animal Crossing or Tomodachi Life), I bought this mainly for the Pokémon integration and, surprisingly enough, I am enjoying making life better for my community. It's way too addictive to try and make every patch of land green again, then add different types of habitats in hopes of attracting more mon, all while making everything more streamlined and town-like with houses, shops, and Pokémon centers. It's proven quite a pleasant diversion.

Nom nom Galaxy. Completing a planet or two a day so as to spread it out, mainly due to the online challenges that cycle every couple of days.
Sniper Elite Resistance. Slowly working my way through the levels.

And finally Helldivers 2.
Having great fun co-oping with @psmr and randoms. On the home stretch now with just the grinding to do before obtaining the fairly common (compared to HD1) platinum. Still the grind is great fun especially compared to HD1.

Enjoying Mouse PI and hoping to have it finished for Wolverine so I can dive right in on Tuesday.

@Teclo It's far too early to tell, but I really liked Ocean and I really liked Rain song and Over The Hills and Far Away. I think overall it was the most mixed album, different styles like they were experimenting which I really like. There was more energy to it too and a brightness so it might be. I'd known a handful of their songs but it was really Jimmy Page as a man that I was so enamored with. I'd respected him as an Occultist for so long that it was that more direct admiration which meant I bypassed his music and focused on his other side. There are a lot of paper practitioners and wannabe Occultists, he's the real deal. Now I'm able to appreciate both the man and his music.

Control was one of the best and most unique gaming experiences, I played it in November and night after night on here there was (long) post after post about how it was connected to the book. I'd read the book when I first moved to England, it was my first English one too. That song 'haunted' on Alan Wake is by Poe, the author of the book is her brother and Remedy/Sam Lake used that book to form Control. I was about ten-minutes into the game when I started seeing those connections and because no here read the book I had to explain what those connections were. i.e. 'the oldest house', the red and blue lighting matching the red and blue ink in the book, Sam Lake was really taken by Mark Z. Danielewski's work. A couple of people in the book thread picked up a copy after they knew.

@Mr-Cage I'm also dying sick, we could move our sickbeds next to each other and have a sleep-over. Hope you feel better soon.

@guacguacboo I was warned that I'd never even see the full map of Crimson Desert and I shrugged it off, I started right after they showed that new trailer at Gamescom. It says 142 for hours on my playthrough and I'm still in the first area doing early quests. There's a DLC around the corner now too. I've had one bug involving a bounty, no crashes, it's been a really smooth and highly engrossing experience so far. But prepare to sacrifice a lot of time, I didn't expect a game this big.

Been playing the same games as last week, so a bit of a boring update this time🙂

Blood of the Dawnwalker - Its kind of a strange game to play, as some parts are really high quality production wise, like story, acting, cutscenes while other areas are clearly low budget. On the whole though, the game has grown a lot on me as the story really has gotten its fangs in me and I dont mind that much of the side content is copy paste missions or mini boss fights etc. Im currently level 23 and no longer die as easy so thats nice too. The whole concept of time progression and a limit of how much time I have before needing to wrap the story up (mainly for trophies though and which ending you want) means I feel i cant play the game how I want which I dont like. Would prefer to be able to just get lost in the world and do whatever but maybe next playthrough. Still a really good game all in all.

Star Wars Zero Company - Really good game, fun and addicting to play and imo the perfect setting for a game like this. Awesome, despite some technical issues 🙂

Really awful week in work, so I’m laying low this weekend with some good old Stardew Valley.

I have a couple of things on the go at the minute as I am not fully settled on a single game (which is unusual for myself). I also made myself a Batocera setup for the living room using a HP NUC I relocated from the office.

Final Fantasy VI PR - PC
Pathfinder: Kingmaker - PC

and I still need to properly looks at the Nioh 3 DLC on PS5 as I got distracted with emulation. I am also looking at grabbing a Wii plus remote and Mayflash Dolphin Bar for Batocera so I can tackle a few Wii games again, so let the distractions continue.

Hello fellow gamers. This time I am playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Wow, this game is huge. I took some time to explore the Yokohama map, and found so much new things... And I already have 40+ hours already. Loving the turn-based combat, and the characters. Very good game indeed.

Also, Alan Wake 2 is in the playlist. It's quite challenging, but there is much more to discover than AW1. I am enjoying it a lot more. And God of War: Sons of Sparta, bigger than I expected. I am getting the groove of the combat and exploration, and it is enjoyable.

Now, I can't wait to play Trails in The Sky: Second Chapter on september 17h. Thursday can't come soon enough!!

I'm replaying Batman Return to Arkham on PS5.

I won’t have much time for gaming this weekend between playing a gig, church and the NFL starting up ( Go Lions!!) but when I do, I’ll be playing through the DLC packs for Borderlands 4 since I got them all on sale recently. That’s just until Wolverine drops next week and then BL4 goes on the back burner. I hope everyone enjoys their time gaming and as always……….. no rage quitting! 😉😂

Toolverine proving itself to be a bad day 1 investment, left a useful time gap.
Maybe I'll squeeze some time with Onimusha: Way of the Sword along the way - Musashi's funny scenes alone make me curious to give it a try, not to mention the praised combat.

finally started the last of us part 1!! better late then never...

I have completed Onimusha: Way of the Sword on Xbox Series X. I got every achievement you can get on a single run — max upgraded all equipment, abilities, found every weapon, and did every side quest. It took me approximately 35-hours.

My opinion is mixed. Maybe it’s because my play style forces me to do everything I possibly can in my first playthrough, and then do NG+ after if I’m not feeling burned out. With that said, Onimusha WotS is a perfect 12-hour game, but a bad 35-hour game. I think this game will benefit from a NG+ so you can trim the fat.

I’ll probably do a NG+ run sometime down the line. I wouldn’t mind mopping up the achievements. I’m going to set it to the side for now and since it’s getting closer to spooky season, I have finally decided to boot up Cronos The New Dawn. It’s fantastic so far.

Playing Moonlighter 2 and enjoying it. It’s got some big differences from the first game which I appreciate. The loop of dungeon crawling and shopkeeping is so fun and addictive.

Anyone play Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Mortal Shell 2? I'm on the fence on which one to get next.

I'm STILL playing System Shock 2, mostly wandering around not having a clue what to do, but I'm almost finished.

Almost finished Pragmata, which I've loved mostly. It's really got that indefinable "Japanese Game" vibe for me. I haven't felt that in ages.

And I've finally reached the centre of the galaxy in NMS!

I’m a decent way through Onimusha WotS and the combat is great but as a Souls vet who struggles with parry focused stuff these bosses are damn hard. Side content is legitimately awful but would still recommend the game. You spend a lot more time in the boring Kyoto hub than I anticipated though which is a bummer.

I spent last couple of days playing demos of some turn-based rpgs, which is not one of my favorite genres I play most but that might change because for instance FF Resonance was great, tried also Sea of Stars and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined which are charming too. Definitely want to explore more from this genre in the near future.

Need to get back to Metro Exodus now so I'll be playing mostly that this weekend. Also bought Super Mario Bros Deluxe on switch for my son, but I'll have some fun with this during watching tv too.

Looking forward to Manchester derby tomorrow, with some darts and F1 in tv.

I've been playing Star Wars Zero Company and just started on Wolverine- surprisingly the disc was delivered a few hours ago- so far it has been great. Looks so good on the Pro.

Ive been playing pretty much the same games for a good few weeks now - Ghost recon Wildlands, Super Mario Galaxy, and Star Wars Zero Company. I’m undecided on my next game purchase - it was possibly going to be Wolverine, but now might get Dawnwalker instead. Wolverine doesn’t strike me as a £70 game, so may wait for a sale.

@Marquez Now it makes sense, so many people I met from there were so orange not red. It was a little confusing, I'm not calling people from Manchester orange. It's hard to explain unless you know a lot about fake-tan. I'm being careful saying that, I don't want to insult anyone from there and it was mostly girls.

They still tour too, one time I'll catch the song live, but will anyone know where it's from. That's the real question. I've heard people say they thought Silence of The Lambs was the first Lector movie, not at all.

@GirlVersusGame, I've just binned Spotify because they keep pulling songs, I've lost tonnes of tracks (plus they'd moved me onto a more expensive tier without me asking). "Heartbeat" by Red 7 is on Apple Music if that helps (just listening to it ).

I've barely played anything, rather I've been faffing around implementing DLSS 5 into various games - Cyberpunk looks unbelievable. I think when consoles start using AI upscaling methods wholesale, we'll see the biggest generational shift yet. Amazing fidelity, life like graphics, frame generation to kill any trace of 30 fps stuttery nonsense for good. Let's hope it's all relatively affordable!

@DrVenture69 It turns out the band themselves uploaded their own edit. The original score with that song is gone, their actual one is still there. I have been noticing a lot of greyed-out tracks lately. It's often regional, my favorite TaTu album poofed and returned, a Silent Hill track I liked is gone now too, for most of it on my end it's sanctions and bands creating and using their own platforms. Actually my Duran Duran 'out of my mind' is gone now too, the album version is back and the live version was removed. A lot of my Adult music gets removed too and Youtube is too vanilla to ever host it either so I contact the artists directly for back-ups. It looks like one of my favorite Albanian drill albums is gone now too, it's back to Poppin' Smoke.

@ApostateMage I was waiting to see what Wildlands quote you'd use today. I had to take a break from my playthrough, I didn't expect to make it through a fourth one going in. You easily got three-weeks or weekends out of it.

At about 60 hours into Two Point Museum I have have just finished the game and am one trophy away from the Plat.

I want something a bit more action-y next so I’ll try out the Wildlands 60fps update.

@Bkzgr8ezt Once I play through Dawnwalker and Wolverine, Moonlighter 2 is next. I am glad to hear it is good! I loved the first game, and have been waiting on this one for a while.

More games need to be made with this kind of loop. Moonlighter and Dave the Diver are both excellent.

I cannot seem to get into anything right now. I tried to like crimson desert but ultimately it’s a waste of £40. Even with all the updates is so fiddly and leaves you in the dark about so many things and I just think it’s not user friendly enough to warrant enduring.

I’m waiting for Control, that Star Wars racing game and planet zoo 2 tbh. I’ll probably just play Overwatch even though I only love it because I hate it so much

@GirlVersusGame I took down the big guy (both endings) and that final mission is still ridiculous to this day. I might start all over again and have the ghosts be all female.

Juet started Blood of Dawnwalker, then some Elden Ring and some Powerwash Simulator between those games.

Half way through Judgment. Easily the best Yakuza game I have played. Bit of an overlooked, underrated gem this.

And then a few Vampire Survivor runs to clear the head

@old_gamer74 Burning through your list again? I remember you finished a Spiderman and moved to Sleeping Dogs. Hopefully your horses are keeping well too, it's almost hoof check time for mine so I should be seeing them sooner than later, diet changes too for the Fall weather and the prep for Winter.

I'm in a horse ranch right now in Crimson Desert. They look like a Northern Draft Friesian to me, I wonder how a Developer even scans a horse into a game because these look very realistic the muscles and tone is all correct. Very impressive.

It was a big horse day yesterday. Sun was out so was down at the paddock for 5 hours with my daughter.

@ApostateMage I think they are locked by gender because I had to use Mods to do that on PC. I turned them into Regina George, Gretchen Wieners, Karen Smith and Cady. My hit-list became a Burn Book. I couldn't Mod quotes from the movie in but it would have been good if I could. It was a Mod to fully edit each teammate. I also considered Charlie's Angel's, in the end Mean Girls made sense.

• That's harder than it sounds on console. Horse Tales Emerald Valley Ranch needs a little more work, it's kind of janky but I liked the cosy side to it. I played it on Steam then PS5, it did have some bugs. Winning Post I'd avoid, it's more of a management simulator and it was too much even for me, really hard to learn.

Honestly I think the best horse game is Red Dead Redemption 2, so many horse central games fall a little flat because the studio isn't sure what route to take and it becomes less about an actual bond and more about 'where to go next'. With Red Dead Redemption 2 it didn't matter where I went as long as my friend was there with me. I'd love if they add horses to Grand Theft Auto Six and a repeater rifle, perhaps a lasso too, then they'd get my pre-order. I don't need a new Red Dead, just my rifle, my pony and me (one of my favorite Dean Martin songs)

Bloodborne

I just defeated Gehrman (not that hard if you watch his telegraphing a bit, he‘s very expressive) and wanted to start the DLC, but NG+ started. I didn’t know that, and now I‘m mad.

From DS3 and Elden Ring, I‘m used to trigger NG+ separately, and I think DS2 also offered this. Bloodborne is like DS1 here, and it feels totally antiquated to me.

What BL would you recommend before starting the DLC? And how long does it take to get to this point (now I‘m BL 72)?

Just finished The Millenium Tales of Elliot. Now I’m waiting to figure out which game I want to play next. Playing Crashlands and various other games I can pick up for a bit.

Worth playing if you liked the first one. The narrative and soundtrack are on par or better than the first but everything else falls short such as level design.

@Link41x I'm considering trying it again eventually, it's my only Kirby game but like I told you before it's special for a reason. I recently talked to someone on here who loves Kirby, then I remembered you'd played it recently too. My last Retro games were Looney Tunes Buster Breaks Loose and Taz Escapes From Mars. The first ws Nintendo, the second Sega Mega-Drive. I rotate between Retro and modern games. It's how I learn the history and appreciate how far the technology has come. Before those were two Marvel games, an X-Men and Hulk both Sega again. Seeing you do that with your daughter makes me think she'll feel some of that same appreciation too. It's surely healthier than putting a child on Fortnite, I don't think I'd learn anything on there either. I did and do from playing Retro.

You might know about it already but there was a Sega Genesis collection for PS4, it's only available on physical disc now. If she's ever looking to try some Sega classics that game/disc is fantastic value and it will run on your PS5. It has extra functions too like rewind (for mistakes) saves, and the games themselves are really good. Sonic is on there so is Bonanza Brothers Wonderboy, Alex Kid but sadly no Echo the Dolphin. It might not mean much if you are a Nintendo man but that's how I built an interest in Sega, then sourced the consoles and started exploring the games too.

@Mr-Cage Has your fever dropped yet? I keep feeling better later into the evening and then the next day it's back to square one. It makes you wonder what non-gamers do when they are feeling so deathly, I've been able to keep my mind active at least. I did the same thing when I had Covid, just kept gaming through it. Possible pulled some Platinums too. It's back to Crimson Desert yet again.

A bit of Infinity Nikki here, and a bit of Robocop: Rogue City there.

I want to continue the main story in Infinity Nikki, but the limited time event got me, and apparently it contains some spoilers but they seem rather mild. The drawn-out dialogues are getting to me tho ...

Robocop is still good fun, still love the city parts, the shooting is aight

Been playing Dawnwalker like crazy. This game plays so great on the PS5 Pro and has been one of the single bright spots for me in justifying my PS5 Pro purchase. Some of the side quests have been top notch and the voice acting is some of the best I've ever heard in an RPG. This is right up there for GOTY for me so far.

@GirlVersusGame haha yeah I hear people calling it Crimson Hernand because they never leave that area so it’s basically the entire game.

When I played at launch it was a messy buggy experience but I’ve been keeping a close eye on patch notes as they come out and they have fixed and added tons of stuff. It’s crazy that you have to beat the game to play the dlc though. I wonder what percentage of people have actually beat it? It seems like the point of this game is to never beat it and just play around in the world lol. I plan on picking it diving head first into after I beat Wolverine.

@guacguacboo I played for about two-hours at launch then the game ate my save data so it went on the shelf and it's only recently that I returned. The thread for the game went quit and anyone I asked said they still haven't seen the end. Most told me they haven't seen the whole map.

It’s crazy that you have to beat the game to play the dlc though.

• Now that I didn't know, I think I need to start playing the main story, these are all side-quests.

Weeks of work and it feels like I've still seen nothing yet.

This weekend I have played Death Howl, Roboquest VR, Helldivers 2 and a bit of Marvel Tokon.

@GirlVersusGame I ironically have Ecco the Dolphin on Game Boy Advance in a game pak with Sonic Spinball and Golden Axe. I do love me some older Sega goodness.

I think that compilation is also on the Switch? I don't have any Sony systems outside of my Vita/PSP atm. I'd have to seek it out on there.
