521 hours, mind you I do also have a Series X and Switch! My top 3 was 1) Horizon forbidden West, 2) F1 2022, and 3) God of War Ragnarök. Not sure how accurate Sony’s data is because it says I spent 70 hours on GOWR, whereas my save file says just shy of 50 hours 🤔 I didn’t get any platinum trophies this year 🙁

I’m sorry, but constant screen-tearing puts me off buying it. Hopefully they will better optimise it. Anyone know if the Switch version suffered screen-tearing?

2023 is looking so stacked that time will be my biggest enemy!

@Lonejester I agree. All the stuff with BTs and other enemies was my least favourite part of the game. I just loved getting around the beautiful environment.

Let’s face it, there’s bound to be at least one delay, so you’re probably looking at May/June really 😉

Still playing God of War Ragnarok, which I’m trying to finish before The Witcher 3 upgrade drops. I’ve just started the “Forging destiny” quest, so I think I still have quite a way to go yet.

God of War Ragnarök. That’s it. I usually have a few games going at the same time, but all I want to play is GOWR. If I start playing something else I just end up thinking “I could be playing GOWR” 😂

I got the cosmic red controller for £40, a saving of £25.

@IOI I’ve only just got to a Vanaheim. I didn’t really enjoy Alfheim (elves realm) with all the light doors 🙄

@ErrantRob yeah it’s annoying when you have to come back with the right equipment, and then have to remember where all those locked-off places were 🙄 have to admit that the puzzles are my least favourite part of the game. I love the exploration and combat though!

Wow, that’s surprisingly high after just two weeks. I’ve put in just under 20 hours so far, but I had a quick look at the main quest list earlier today and I still have a ways to go 😱 saying that, I like searching every nook and cranny so I don’t miss anything.

Damn I have about 3 weeks to try and finish God of War Ragnarok.

I hope they are looking at bring back more classic tracks, like Grand Valley Speedway, Tokyo R246, and a favourite of mine, Midfield Raceway. Atlanta is pretty cool though.

How the hell did Stray beat HFW and Ragnarok?!?!

I’ve been waiting ages for this update so I can do another play through! I’m getting worried now though that my expectations may be too high 😬 Let’s hope CDPR don’t disappoint 🤞

Not gonna lie, the 1080 graphics put me off buying it at full price. Hoping it comes to GamePass or PS+ extra. I’m also hoping the devs can better optimise it by then.

I haven’t played this in ages, but now they’ve sorted out the PS5 issues I think it’s time I dig it up and give it another go.

This is disappointing, especially when some open world games can do dynamic 4K when using performance mode.

Only played through the game - inc both expansions - once, but that was several years ago so can’t wait for this! Question is…can I finish GoW Ragnarok in a month? 🤔

Hope we get to see more games use this technology.

I haven’t bought or played a CoD game in years, but if they do a “free play weekend” I’ll give it a go.

I just don’t get the fuss over Immortality. I “played” it on GamePass and I just couldn’t get into it. And CoD MW2 gets nominated?!?! 😱 I like the way you say Elden ring is “in with a chance” when it’s one of the front runners 😂

I don’t like it when they go all out on a particular franchise. One month it was Assassin’s Creed, another Dragon Quest, and now Kingdom hearts. If you’re not interested in that particular franchise it means a big chunk of that month’s games hold no interest for you.

I’m pretty confident that GoW Ragnarok will be my game of the year. I did buy and play Elden Ring, but after 20 hours or so I gave up as it was too hard. It will be interesting to see what tops most of the end of year lists, out of Ragnarok or Elden Ring.

@Sil_Am Same here. I thought Dirt 5 was underrated and I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. It catered more towards the arcade crowd and that was fine by me.

I’ll be alternating between this and GoW Ragnarok! 🙂

I probably won’t end up buying it. I bought the first one…after a few months once the novelty had worn off it went in the loft, where it still is today.

@Sqush-Pare Anything shown on HBO in the US is usually shown on Sky Atlantic in the UK.

To those that haven’t yet bought this excellent game, it’s now reduced (again!) to £6.99 for the “Game of the year edition” in the “November savings” sale. The GOTY edition includes both expansions (also excellent). Not forgetting the PS5 version will be a free upgrade!

Hopefully this is just an oversight, otherwise it’s a stupid move. At least GamePass gives you plenty of warning when and which games are leaving, and the info is usually easy to find - there’s sporadically a tile on the Home Screen saying “games leaving soon”.

For the players…with lots of disposable income

I downloaded it over the weekend, but when I went to play it it asked for my phone number - I thought they ditched this? Sorry but I’m not giving out my phone number to play a bloody game!

This is disappointing, especially as I feel kinda spoilt by all the games this gen that do have a 60fps/performance mode. Some games do 30fps really well, Forza Horizon 5 and Horizon forbidden West are two examples, but they are the exceptions rather than the rule. Just hope GK falls into this category.

I quite like the cosmic red one, but I can’t justify spending £50 on it when my original white one works fine.

My issue with these monthly drops is the lack of variety. Take away the Assassins creed and Dragons quest titles and there’s not a lot left 🙄

I’m sure they can get it running higher than 1080p in performance mode on PS5.

Still hoping the gaming gods give us a full remake of Ico, but not holding my breath.

Have to admit that I was expecting a last minute delay, so this is great news! 🙂

By the time the next Witcher and Cyberpunk games come out I doubt PS4/Xbox one will even be a thing.

Now let’s see her complete Elden Ring 😉
