More Yotei for me, really enjoying it and I've decided I am going for the platinum!

For me Yotei is the better game, better pacing and I am a fan of the improved combat (& weapons) but I did really enjoy playing out Jin's story he was a great character, Atsu is cool in her own way, a proper killing machine!

I loved Helldivers 2 having previously given up on most multiplayer games so this interested me but it sounds a lot like the dark zone in The Division which I despised so I am still undecided on whether to give it a go 🤷‍♂️

@SBBuds Fair point buddy, you are right it is just so much better if people get along and don't grief but much like real life it isn't going to happen!

Well earned, brilliant sequel, the atmosphere and setting is just fantastic.
I think it's better than Tsushima but I did really like Jin too, the original was just a bit long especially the 2nd map/area but Yotei feels a much tighter experience - loving it.

Had mine a while now, didn't get it at launch but when they updated it to stream PS Premium games I bit and went and got one.
It is a great device, works well, I have used it on holiday too and it worked fine on the hotel WiFi, for £200 I think it is a bargain.

I'll give this a shot, loved the games so will give this a look!

I remember playing this and if it gets a physical release I will play it again for nostalgia.
Better than Mario Kart it was not but it was great fun!

Like others I play them all year round, playing Yotei not and I won't stop just to play a horror game because it is October. I get it though and cool for those that do

Bit gutted tbh I forgot the physical isn't out until December, don't think it was when I preordered but it got pushed back, either way plenty to play until then.

Really pleased with my Portal gets plenty of use, well worth £200 and this is a nice extra if it turns out to be true!

More GoY for me, I loved playing Jin in the first one he is a legend but I do prefer the murderous attitude of Atsu, instead of bowing after killing an enemy she just says pathetic or something similar 😂 Great protagonist!

Might get chance to try out my Neo Geo cart of Evercade too!

@MrPeanutbutterz Agreed buddy, fantastic campaign and still one of the best. I never got on with the MP side of the game think I was a bit late to the party and just got tanked every match.
I don't remember exactly but I think what stumped me on the gauntlet run was a section where you (I think) throw a grenade after a platform section which broke me, if I nailed I inevitably got something wrong in the next section 😂

@MrPeanutbutterz Kudos to that Titanfall 2 platinum trophy, I don't think any other trophy/challenge has got me like the gauntlet trophy. I still don't have it (never will) and think about far more than I really should, was such a good game though!

Never nice to see a new IP fail even if it is GaaS and I really like Remedy games, AW was fantastic and I loved the 2nd game (though I thought playing as Saga was the best bit). Can't wait for Control 2 and then the Max Payne remakes should make them a pretty penny too so fingers crossed they will be fine!

Absolute garbage decision, it's a no from me then, not sure how much money they leave on the table with these decisions as I think Indy sold well but think Doom wasn't as good as expected not sure if we can read anything into that!
Thankfully the release schedule is pretty stacked so no loss.

I am all for DLC even though I very rarely participate, by the time it comes out I have moved onto other games and don't really bother going back, it is why I stopped buying Gold/Premium versions of game or what ever they call it, with all season passes included etc, I never ended up playing them even though I bought them as they came out like months later 🤷‍♂️

Game is amazing though and I do intend on getting the platinum before I finish

My copy arrived over the weekend but not got round to it yet, can't wait to dive in, DotEmu are absolutely smashing the side scrolling brawlers and this looks like it will scratch that PoP Lost Crown too!!!

Extra is decent this month, SH2 and LaD are very welcome and as it's spooky season I might even give Until Dawn a play through!

Premium though is really poor offering just 1 game

More Ghost of Yotei. absolutely loving this so far and my GOTY for sure, not played Expedition 33 yet but it will be next year before I get to that!
Probably some Sonic Racing Transformed on the Vita too!

@Petrecis24 Agreed, having played Gears for the first time when it was ported I was a little underwhelmed (felt old and dated) but as you suggest I think it was a game for the time and if you have memories it is still special so no doubt this is the same but I will still have to try it when it comes to PS.

Seems a bit soon tbh, I love a new console and got the Pro at launch after the PS5 but I don't the PS6 comes out in 2027 more like 2028 which is 3 years away so I will probably feel different by the time we get there!
I won't be moving to PC so will definitely get one just not sure if it will be at launch or not!

Games amazing peoples, don't miss out if you are interested, I thought it had the best sense of progression in a long time, genuinely feel like you are getting stronger and more skillful. Proper punch the air stuff when beating some bosses especially that pain in the a** Scorpion Lord!!!!!

I didn't know if I would finish it at times, being quite tough but I ended getting the plat it was just too good to put down!

Building myself up to start Stellar Blade soon to get that fix again.

Just a heads up, if you are a physical collector then the disc version of Absolum is out Friday (17th). I haven't finished Yotei yet but this will be arriving on Friday ready for when I do

Excellent game so far, gets a 9 from me better than the first in every way IMO.

@Perturbator I thought Fenyx Rising was loads of fun, shame it won't get a sequel, an actual new IP which should have landed better than it did IMO. Some of the puzzles were real head scratchers and I liked the little vault challenges, game looks good too, colours a really vibrant! Enjoy 👍

Continuing the beautiful Ghost of Yotei, fantastic so far loving the combat, you've got to keep sharp when being mobbed and it feels good to cut them down one by one.
Got the dual Katanas now and just love fighting the spear guys!

@RoomWithaMoose Thanks mate, agreed and I rarely do, as mentioned I was hearing and reading good things about DK which got me tempted and I will pick it up when I get the S2. Just need a few more games before I take the plunge! 👍

@cainhurst94 Thanks buddy, glad I held off, as Oram says Metroid does look decent (minus the bike) but I am sure Mario will hit they rarely miss.

Tbf I am in no rush with all the top notch games coming out on PS at the moment the back log is real 👍

@Oram77 Completely agree buddy, I was tempted by Donkey Kong because it looked interesting & reviewed well but one game is not enough for me to pick one up yet though I absolutely will down the line, probably when Mario hits next year hopefully.

I think it will sell even more come Xmas!

Apart from maybe Crow Country nothing really interests me this month, Premium is terrible at this stage and as I have said before 'if it wasn't for streaming to my Portal I don't think i would bother', especially after taking the PSVR2 games from us'

More Gears reloaded for me good game but I won't be getting the plat, think I am about 2/3 the way through. I am also nearing the end of Dynasty Warriors Next on the Vita which I am absolutely loving and has made me want to pick up Origins on the PS5!

Urgh can't stand the depressive Morrisey and their morbid music (Johnny Mar is a bit of a legend though), even though he is a Manchester lad just don't like the tunes or the bloke. Love Suda 51 though

I am really enjoying Gears but it isn't as good as Shinobi IMO, haven't played them all but Shinobi would be my choice, interesting that potentially 2 Ninja Gaiden, AC Shadows and a Shinobi title could all be GOM, without even getting Ghost of Yotei that is a lot of Ninjas

I'm working through Gears still and enjoying it but I hope to get around to Chronos New Dawn at some point!

Looks great, with no Uncharted due this might fill that gap, I don't like the films anymore but IO are a safe bet, should be really good.

Agree with others though, not my most anticipated for 2026 but it does come out on my birthday so could be a day one!!

Thanks Aaron, I was waiting for a reviews before purchasing but with this and other reviews seen I am sold and at £50 you can't argue!
Just need to finish Gears then I am all in

@SMJ I own it buddy and you can play single player the first 3 -4 difficulty levels but you wont be able (IMO) to complete the harder levelled stuff, you pretty much need a co-operative team or at least 3 randoms that know what they are doing.
It isn't much fun alone, all of the great moments come from team based chaos, it is a fantastic game and I don't really do multiplayer myself these days but this brought me back into the fold, you don't have to have your mic on, in game prompts work really well and the player base is generally really good from my experience.

We need the option to select 'it is a good selection but not for me', I'm most interested in Viewfinder as I've heard decent things about this one and I hope it delivers.

@freddquadros I'm with you buddy, anything Star Wars gets my money so I was happy to play as a non Jedi and get immersed in the world. Akiva was cool but I loved being on Tatooine, and coming across little camps etc.
I was lucky and got the low rep one early whilst I was learning the mechanics, you would have to really p*ss them off to get the rep that low in the end game, think you did the right thing starting a new file!

@Northern_munkey Hi mate, I notice EA WRC is only £15 on Amazon at the minute is it a good rally game? And by good I mean accessible? I found Dirt to be a bit difficult on a pad with the more powerful motors and got put off but I loved Sega Rally, Colin MacRae etc just found my most recent go at a rally game a bit frustrating (probably too realistic 🤣 ) for £15 I am tempted as I love racing games (no wheel though).

@Marquez Agreed mate, the story & world building is really good and a different perspective to most SW games, just a bit too ruff around the edges in parts.

@Marquez This was my experience with the platinum too which is frustrating as I like to plat all SW games, only trophy missing was the beat the battleships/Star destroyers by ramming them or something and it was RNG if they appeared. Great game otherwise though, thoroughly enjoyed it, Nix was pretty cool.

I've just got back from India so have been paying on the Vita and am stuck on Dynasty Warriors Next! I aim to beat it though, struggling with Lu Bu as I'm the bow and arrow guy, these games are frustrating with ranged combat IMO but enjoying the game none the less plus the Vita is still awesome!
Hoping to get on to Gears at some point too!

Wukong 2 wins the show for me, most anticipated now even though it will probably be a couple of years away

Shame it is so long away, only played Wukong this year and it was superb on the Pro!

That Tiger looked incredible, can't wait (but I'll have to).
