Poll: What Review Score Would You Give ARC Raiders?

Definitely a 9 from me hard to get a perfect 10

Solid 8 with a potential to be better as time goes on. I think the Speranza hub is a pretty big let down, since it's just a menu, but this game will hopefully have legs and an opportunity to grow in the future.

Solid 9 from me..getting a few raids in each evening before BF6 and rally racing commitments kick in but I'm loving it.@wildcat_kickz it dosnt really need to be anything more than that. One of the things that does my nut in is having to navigate a map just to find the specific vendor I need to visit. This saves time but I can see your point. Maybe one day a game like this will cover both camps.

This game has my brain in mush! First I wasn't getting it, then i bit the $40 bullet. Then I initially hated it on launch for a few days, but now I'm hooked on it. I suffer from OCD bad. I think the game has alot of faults and it can be disheartening to have a great run go sour in the hands of a D-bag or two. But in other ways its best in class.

But the collecting and searching is itching the OCD side of my brain and I need to play this to scratch it. Its like a comfort food kinda of game to an OCD itch. The graphics, sound design and atmosphere of the world is fantastic

10/10 atmosphere, technical prowess, enemies, gameplay, sound design, looting and most mechanics
7/10 lore and voice acting with quests
7/10 quest design (too much go and fetch, then come back)

It is phenomenal at what it is trying to do. Few games absolutely nail their atmosphere, let alone marry it to the proper gameplay mechanics and general loop. Arc Raiders makes it look easy.

@Northern_munkey I totally get the other side of the argument, too - it saves a lot of time not having to navigate a physical space, especially if that space is confusing as hell (cough cough Destiny 2 cough). I guess the thing I'm missing is having a hub where you can interact with other players without the urgency of an active raid.

As you say, a game that allows for both options would be really great.

7.75 for me. Fun as hell. But the online PVP element and being ambushed is frustrating as hell and takes away from it a bit. Definitely having a good time though.

Never played but I'll give it a 10 because the devs actually heard brazilian gamers and lowered the price of the game on PS Store, to the point where it's cheaper than the Steam version. I wish more publishers and devs could be like this and not let Playstation Brazil act like a money hungry mercenary

What does the in game currency exactly give you? Just costumes? Or can it give you a head start kinda like Helldivers 2 does?

@wildcat_kickz yeah, i can't imagine if speranza was a hub where you had to walk and it was more tedious to get around, taking loads of time, directly after a run that went sour due to a D-bag shotgunning you from behind while you were opening a locker. Total cheap shot

That sucks when it happens and is a time waste, so its best to counter that element with being able to get right back into gameplay to restore order so to speak

As someone who almost exclusively plays offline solo player games, I’m obsessed. This is the most fun I’ve had with a multiplayer game in a very long time.

@Northern_munkey I can completely understand your complaint about the base, but personally I love it. I want to spend as little time in there as possible so I can get back to the game. I’d rather jump between menus than have to run around a base to each location.

@wildcat_kickz i find that refreshing. I’m sick of central hubs having 30 people to talk to and walk around. Let’s face it games should be about the actual game not fancy animations and masses of work for the quest givers.

@Boxmonkey @StitchJones I get what you guys are saying. For me, I think I'd feel a little more invested in the lore if there was a real sense of place for Speranza, but it's all a matter of taste. There's no wrong answer, just preference.

LOL - Always get a laugh out of the trolls that vote the lowest score on a game that's CLEARLY not even close to being a bad game at all. SMH.....

@KundaliniRising333 I wouldn't be shocked if this game wins GOTY. It seems to be taking the gaming world by storm and the award voters seem to value this. Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei were fantastic and are light years above this game.

However, they are very safe sequels. Award winners are usually the outside the box thinking games.

9.5 from me. Can’t stop playing.
Gunplay is superb. World they’ve created is beautiful and deadly.
It’s got the just one more raid about it and before you know it you’ve been sat there several hours.

I've only played a few hours. I've enjoyed what I've played but I'm not sure that I fully ‘get it’ yet. I'm going in collecting some scrap and evacuating without doing much else.

I've opened up a few more maps but not ventured oit of the first one yet.

Need to find some time to sit and play for longer than an hour to get my head around it all.

A 9/10 is fair but I think this one deserves ever so rare 10/10. I don’t see a flaw big enough to knock it down at all. Pure joy and excitement in this game from a primarily single player gamer for the last few years.

@Boxmonkey @wildcat_kickz this is off topic guys, but i can't find a setting on the game or any info on this anywhere, so allow me to ask. Is there any way to turn off that 12 digit code that's at the bottom right hand corner of the screen? i guess its the server code, or debug code? IDK.

What I do know is that static code always there is not friendly to OLED tv's.

I guess I would give it a 5.
I'm not a fan of extraction shooters and these days I avoid multiplayer only games like the plague, they are just not interesting to me.

9/10 for me and for all you topsiders a lil advice, turn crossplay OFF. If PC meddle with the settings they can remove shrubbery so they can see you in the bushes because shrubbery = bushes and you'll never know

Lol at the people that are complaining about D-bags ambushing them, it's literally the point of the game The map design, extraction mechanic right down to the safe pockets show this game is clearly designed to encourage such behaviour. I do it and have been victim to it many times, just dust yourself off and go again.

I loved Helldivers 2 having previously given up on most multiplayer games so this interested me but it sounds a lot like the dark zone in The Division which I despised so I am still undecided on whether to give it a go 🤷‍♂️

@SBBuds Fair point buddy, you are right it is just so much better if people get along and don't grief but much like real life it isn't going to happen!

One thing I’ve noticed on the website is that the polls are almost meaningless at times.

Some people seem to vote without playying the game itself, and the reasons they give are emotional or trivial. Instead of judging the game on its mechanics, story, or design etc, they base their opinions on how it looks, makes them feel, or even on unrelated political or social factors surrounding its creation.. Strange behaviour, perhaps there are young little kids below 10 with accounts here.

It’s a solid 7. Pretty looking game. Good gameplay loop. Not a great fan of the flying enemies but when inside a building it’s cool.
Solo is the way to go mostly other solo raiders are cool as! Occasionally you get some arsehole killing your by sneaking up but yeah 7/10

@Jammer i don't care who wins GOTY. All I care about is hopefully getting our first good look at Interstellar in another game awards trailer

8 for now but waiting to see if future additions and improvements make the game better seeing how it’s a GaaS product. Love that it’s smaller and more condensed areas of exploration

Was complaining when it first come out that raids were too easy and people were going in whistling songs and eating food while completing quests
Oh boy has that all changed, nice when the Devs agree that it was way too easy and not enough danger present
Watched the same guy who was doing ten raids in a row without seeing a single person get murdered six times in a row ha ha
I want a 5% success rate, make people suffer, make people worry about every single corner, you shouldn't be able to browse the internet on a second screen while in game.
There's hope for this game yet because before it was just behind boring
