@Keyblade-Dan San Andreas was the best one of the lot IMO, can't beat Carl and the Los Santos crew, I loved Trevor in 5 but give me San Andreas any day of the week.
Really looking forward to this one, first game was excellent and I am well up for more of the same plus in general I think MGS 2 was considered one of the best so hopeful a sequel of this IP hits just as hard
@Quintumply Thanks for this Stephen, nice review though I am a little disappointed as I believe this game was the inspiration for Balatro and was hoping it would be as addictive.
On second thoughts perhaps that isn't a bad thing!!
Currently getting my back side handed to me by Black Bear Guai in Black Myth Wukong. Really enjoying the game, it is tough but fair & the deaths (which are plenty) don't feel cheap. Looks and runs great on the Pro too!
@kevinm360 Whilst I never called it a police station I do remember discussing the new console with mates and thinking what rubbish name it sounded like a toy, and how wrong we were!
Once I got to play on one there was no going back, Ridge Racer and Tekken were the first games I played on it (launch games I think) and it was the first time I genuinely thought this is just like the arcade!
Great feature Push Square and perfect reading for a Sunday, keep em' coming. @ShogunRok any chance you can add the users profile name below their letter so we can more easily reply to that specific topic?
Looks amazing, day one for me and I do hope this means we will get the next installment of Wolfenstein, I adored New Order and Colossus but not Youngblood that was terrible!
@PorkChopExpress Spot on mate, we get one of the best single player games in years (my GOTY last year) and no one buys it then complains there are no single player games! TBF I think most comments are referring to Sony 1st party games but you are bang on the money buddy!
Finished Space Marine 2 this week, it was good but I am not bothering with the platinum (MP trophies) so I am on to Indika now which is very interesting I am keen to see where it goes!
My favourite director of all time, Mulholland Drive is my #1 film (if I had to put my hat on one) and Twin Peaks (at least season 1) is possibly the best TV drama ever made! All my opinion of course but the guy was a genius and there really is no one else quite like him. Legend - RIP.
Excellent news, it will never replace my Playstation as said above they will coexist and hopefully both are extremely successful, I will be getting one and I am sure from the trailer that was a new Mario Kart game at last!!
Good luck to those that need one, I have mentioned before but in the UK do go into shops (Curry's & Smyths etc) as they hold stock even when sold out online. Don't bow to the scalpers, £100 tops!!!!
@trev666 No doubt buddy, I have every confidence they can reproduce the form with another game but I do hope they make another VR game as I loved Rescue Mission!
@themightyant Very true mate, even with all the refunds they were still in the black. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish (before all the patches).
It is a shame when good games don't get the support they deserve, I think the support from CDPR has been excellent even in the face of all the abuse they got when it first launched!
Really good to see Cyberpunk keeping up with the usual mob, it is a great game and I am glad it has got it's flowers eventually despite the poor launch, brilliant game.
@UltimateOtaku91 I agree mate, the next game can't be another nostalgia trip so I am keen to see where they go with it. That said the first VR game wasn't overly nostalgic so I have confidence. Definitely one of the best if not the best platformer outside of Mario for me.
I enjoyed both but the EA games are better IMO, it has been said above but it also helps that Survivor has lots of deep sales in 2024.
Ubi can make good games, PoP was a GOTY contender for 2024 and won on some sites but hey ho they shut that studio down - makes no sense but I suppose it wasn't commercially successful
I am continuing my play through of Space Marine 2, great brainless game but maybe not quite as good as I had hoped and loading time between missions (on a Pro) are horrendous. Awesome finishers though!
Oooh I would love Flight Simulator in PSVR2, probably never happen but hey ho, Halo will be good though! Easy money for MS, looks like a win win for everyone!!
I am physical all the way and have only ever purchased 1 digital game (unpacking) as I couldn't secure a physical copy from LR, I am not in denial I know it is coming but it is not good for the consumer IMO.
Some very interesting games here, I am hoping InKonbini will be excellent and I loved unpacking so One Move Away looks great too. Wasn't aware of the Midnight Walk so appreciate that one thank you!
As a football fan I am very intrigued by Despelote and Rematch especially the latter as Sifu was one of my GOTY when it came out.
Having finished AW2 in the week I have turned to the backlog and am on Space Marine 2. Good game so far with some brutal finishers, not sure if I will try online out or not but the campaign is carnage in a good way!
@Wazeddie22 Congratulations buddy, we appreciate your service!
I would give it to Arrowhead but can't argue with this as a top 4. because of my persona taste I would have swapped Atlus out for Capcom (not first though).
Excellent list Aaron, great to see Still Wake the Deep getting some well deserved love, probably the list I agree with the most but I would swap Silent Hill 2 for PoP Lost Crown.
Thanks to PS+ I tried Walkabout golf this year and that was my favourite (and decent music) although Vertigo 2 is a close second! Kudos to Sony for including VR titles with PS+ it has provided a well needed shot in the arm!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all at Hookshot and fellow comment-ers, a bit late to the party but hope you all had a good day with the loved ones!
Here's to a happy gaming 2025 and getting through my enormous 2024 backlog in time for GTA6!!!!!
After all the praise I am hearing in GOTY discussions I am going to have to give DD2 a go at some point, never played the first but this one is very intriguing. RoftR is on my back log and I'll get to it but it is unfortunately way back
This game is responsible for bringing me back to online gaming, I absolutely love it and this time last year I would not have thought I was going to spend months just playing this game alone let alone any online multiplayer game. It is just so much fun, made up it is in the top 10 but it makes my top 3 for 2024!!
@breakneck Yeah mate, the deeper I get into it the more I just want to follow her story! Great game though!
Glad you enjoyed PoP, it is definitely in my top 2 this year, just pipped by Astro. Such a shame they closed this studio, would have loved a second. (how annoying was the pirate parrot quest trophy )
I am trying to get my play through of Alan Wake 2 finished so I can enjoy Astro Bot over the festive break! Playing as Saga is awesome but less so Alan! Want to do the DLC too so lots of darkness on this festive weekend!!
@DennisReynolds Thank you for this comment, I have said it on other threads AW2 on the Pro has always looked and played brilliantly for me, before and after this patch so I never understood when people said it didn't run well on the Pro and just assumed I was lucky or had terrible eye sight :S

Re: $100 for GTA 6 Is 'A Bridge Too Far' Even for Rockstar, Says Analyst
@Mikey856 New car Mikey? Can't tell if it is an A or C class but it looks good buddy.
Yeah I am with you I think it will be more like £80 but if your Mrs is anything like mine they are always right 😬

Finished Indika last night which was a very strange but enjoyable game!
I am going to be starting Black Myth Wukong this weekend and can't wait!

Excellent news, hopefully it is par for the course moving forward and they do a decent job of implementation!

Re: New PS5 Firmware Update Is Coming Today in Phased Release
@wiiware Thanks buddy, I hadn't heard that was the case, that would be shame! Fingers crossed it stays and so does the classic themes
Re: God Bless Super Technos World, Coming to PS5 in April
Great news for retro fans, a couple of these games came to the Evercade and I can vouch for Combatribes, that was fun!
Re: New PS5 Firmware Update Is Coming Today in Phased Release
@wiiware Hi mate, what do you mean by boot sound? You can already adjust this sound or do you mean something else!? Completely agree with folders

Re: Following Space Marine 2 Success, Games Workshop Seeks Next Big Warhammer Hit
@Northern_munkey Hi buddy, is Darktide a digital game only, I am looking for it having enjoyed SM2 but can't see it anywhere but Xbox?
Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's Lingering PS5 Pro Issues Reportedly Fixed
It is a brilliant game which IMO improves on the 1st in pretty much every way even if the mini map is still a bit of a pain! Can't wait for the 3rd.

Re: 2023's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Outsold Ubisoft's Outlaws in 2024
@Weebleman Spot on mate, couldn't agree more.
Even more frustrating when you see people moan about the same old games/formula then they get something a bit different and don't buy it 🤷♂️

Re: The House of the Dead 2 Remake Lives! Launches This Spring 2025

Re: Updated AI Limit PS5 Demo Out Now as Pre-Orders Go Live
That is a good price point, worth a try as it looks decent but no physical edition announced as yet? If they do I will dip in.
Re: Your Sleeping Dogs Movie Is Sleeping with the Fishes
Sleeping Dogs is one of my favourite PS3 games, excellent characters and great sandbox to play in.
A film would have been nice but a sequel would be better!!
Re: The State of the UK's Physical Games Market Might Explain PS5 Pro's Lack of Disc Drive

Re: PS5 Accessories to Get New Midnight Black Colourway, Pre-Order from 16th January

Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' 20 Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2025
That's a solid top 3, really looking forward to Doom and Indy too, I still have half of 2024 releases to get through but 2025 is looking excellent!
Re: Unsurprisingly, GTA 6 Projected to Make a Staggering Amount of Money
@Darude84 Me too, Wu-Tang forever 😎
Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5 Developer of 2024
I would give it to Arrowhead but can't argue with this as a top 4. because of my persona taste I would have swapped Atlus out for Capcom (not first though).
Re: Game of the Year: Aaron's Top 5 PS5 Games of 2024
Excellent list Aaron, great to see Still Wake the Deep getting some well deserved love, probably the list I agree with the most but I would swap Silent Hill 2 for PoP Lost Crown.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 561
At least now I know what day it is
I will be starting either Sonic X Shadow or Indika, not sure which yet along with some HD2 and more Christmas cheer!!
Happy festive gaming folks!

Re: Poll: What Are Your Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2025?
Keeping it to 5 was tough:
Atomfall
Death Stranding 2
Doom
Ghost of Yotei
GTA6
