Halo Campaign Evolved PS5 Poll

We knew it was coming, but we still can't quite believe that it's actually happening. Halo was basically considered the last bastion of Xbox following Microsoft's multiplatform spree — and now, it too is going to be a PlayStation franchise going forward.

It all starts with Halo: Campaign Evolved in 2026. This full remake of the series' first instalment is going to hit PS5 on the same day as Xbox and PC. What a time to be alive.

We can't help but think about what this announcement would have meant a couple of generations back, when the console wars were at their peak here on the internet.

We lived through the constant fanboy battles that defined the PS3 vs. Xbox 360 era; can you imagine going back in time to tell everyone that Halo would join the likes of Gears of War on PlayStation in a couple of decades or so?

But can this Halo remake hit the ground running on Sony's system? Well, Microsoft is clearly banking on its aforementioned multiplatform approach — it feels like Halo being on PlayStation is the main selling point here, as evidenced by the franchise's community director wearing a PlayStation logo t-shirt as part of the reveal.

And so, we simply have to ask: do you plan on buying Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5? Vote in our polls, and then express your own disbelief in the comments section below.
