Still enjoying Alan Wake 2, just on Chapter 6, not had much gaming time of late but loving every minute. Wukong arrived this week and can't wait to see what the Pro makes of it.

@Major_Player Spot on mate, I can only say it runs brilliantly on the Pro, as for the base model - no idea!

I am made up with mine and don't regret it at all, it is a nice to have rather than a must as the base model is mostly fine. I would say if you can afford it and want the best Playstation has to offer then go for it but as said above if you are on an old 1080 TV it probably is not worth it.

@Major_Player Hi buddy, I can't speak for everyone but I waited until the Pro came out (& a physical edition) to play this and it runs really well. Having not played it on the base model I don't know what the original complaints were but I haven't had a single bug or glitch and I am about 12 hours in. It really is a fantastic game!

Excellent, would be better if we could download but I'll take streaming for now. Will definitely be picking one up.

Already finished and enjoyed it, this will definitively make it more fun for those who are yet to jump in but if you want action, stick to the EA Jedi games (can't believe I am saying that).

Got the plat and won't be going back, I'll be honest I would have gone back for the DLC with a Pro patch and I still might but less of a rush now!

Kudos to you for pointing out credit is not the way to go as it is too easy to fall into that trap, whilst I love my Pro it is most definitely not worth getting into debt for!

I really need to pick this up at some point as MGS is a gap in my gaming history (shame on me).
I did try the 2nd which I think started out on an oil rig but I didn't know what was going and ended up stuck somewhere probably because I was trying to action my way through instead of stealth! So will start from the 1st and take it from there, decent price for 3 games too!

The guy is a bit of a legend (certainly amongst trophy hunters), seems a bit weird but hopefully he moves onto better things if that is how he has been treated!

Bit of a shame, the preview hype got my attention and I like the Marvel and Star Wars Lego games so thought this might just deliver. Wait for sale at best I'm afraid!

I will be mostly playing Alan Wake 2 which like other I have waiting until the Pro came out to play, it is really good and pretty spooky at time,s it's dripping in Twin Peaks cool!!
Wanna try out some VR games on the Pro too and obviously some GT7.

It's a cool theme and I've kept it for my welcome screen. the OG Destiny 1 theme complete with original music is my all time favourite and still in place on my PS4 Pro!
Very happy with my purchase, I hope they do a white Switch 2 to go next to it!

@Mikey856 I agree mate, the chip processor background looks really cool IMO, would still love proper wall papers though. I am really happy with mine!
Sorry about the disc drive, for info I went into Curry's a while back which listed online they were out of stock but they had plenty in store, if you are near one pop in and ask, they told me they hold stock back for walk in's!

@Rich33 @JohntheRaptor I didn't get it sorted but I didn't try the restore method, I have just downloaded them from my library again on the Pro, didn't take long. Mine was an OG fattie too.

Got mine today been playing Alan Wake 2 since it looks and runs great. Going to check out GT7 shortly. I added the stand and disc drive no issue, was a bit nervous about the pulling the cover off to put the drive in 😬

Great news, great game which more people get to play, I have no issue with timed exclusives, much rather this than locked to one platform forever (not 1st party titles of course).

@Medic_alert Are you transferring over the network with Lan cables?

@JohntheRaptor Good point I haven't checked the firewalls, like you I have PS+ but it was so simple from PS4 to PS4 Pro and Pro to PS5! Shame because everything else is cool, Good luck buddy!

Got mine about an hour ago, much slicker machine for size & looks and you can feel the weight difference (not that you will be carrying it around🤣)just an all round better finish. Can't get my data to transfer though but no biggie, about to start up Alan Wake 2 for the first time, can't wait!!

@JohntheRaptor same here buddy, connects, press the power button for a second then waits and says can't transfer. Bizarre!!

@get2sammyb Thanks for the update, do you know if the Space Marine 2 is Pro optimised, can't find a reliable source seems but not yet? (it is one I have saved for the Pro experience!)

Such a shame, I knew the Pro wouldn't be scalped because of the price so I suppose they went for the next best thing - the disc drive, thankfully got mine as soon as it was announced but not fair on those that didn't

@OldGamer999 I don't think I will get much sleep on Wednesday night at this rate 😂 it's great getting new hardware, hope my delivery is early Thursday morning & I wonder if the first boot up will be unique like the base PS5 was?

Shame those that get gifted a Pro for free also get a stand whilst we have to pay for one on top of the £700 (£800 with disc)!

@Yagami Hi mate, I got my physical copy of Alan Wake 2 last week which I am itching to play but holding on for my Pro next week, Stellar Blade was the other game I was choosing between going first. Not played either and starting to get excited now - 7 days to go!!!

I'm all in day one if we get a physical release!

Really enjoyed this game, I thought the recent Evil West had vibes like this but not quite as bonkers! More Suda please

@sanderson72 I am very envious, I lost my A1200, 500+ and the Amiga CD when I left home, never got over it
I have to agree the Amiga version is my all time favourite!

@Danloaded I thought this, not heard anything negative really, I presume it was the Xboxers that were sour with it not being exclusive, I think in general PS users are happy it's coming and I am sure if it is half decent it will sell pretty well.

@torquex Yeah Silent Hill 2 is one for the back log. I'm looking forward to it but like you say £120 on 2 games is a bit of a stretch when we can only play one at a time, it can wait!

@Elitepatriot The EA Jedi games are fantastic and the second was even better than the first for me, I do prefer action to stealth but Outlaws is good fun if or when you get around to it.
