Re: Borderlands 3's Split-Screen Co-Op Is a Mess on PS4

LowTech

@Tasuki I totally get it. But If a review is not honest, what kind of review is it? also, if readers feel that they're reading "bs", they'll stop reading..
I can only talk about myself: yes, I read reviews before the game launch date, but I rarely buy them on the day they come out based on reviews. (red dead redemption 2 and the division 2 were the last exceptions.. totally regret the last one)
And never, ever ever, ever ever ever, pre-order..

Re: Borderlands 3's Split-Screen Co-Op Is a Mess on PS4

LowTech

@Tasuki Yes, I know that. Which is what you would expect.. No company wants bad reviews. But still, reviewrs can not be "afraid" to tell the truth. I think that PushSquare does a really good job scoring the games but most of the times doesn't talk much about technical issues (expecting that they would be crushed fast, I think).
But I have 2 games that I wouldn't have bought if I knew the technical state of them: Kingdom Come deliverance and The Division 2.
Both really great games. Both don't work really well on a playstation..
So, as @OmegaStriver said, the game score should be affected by the bugs. (I'm not talking about Fallout 76 or Anthem since those are completely broken games).

Re: Borderlands 3 Split-Screen Co-Op Is a Technical Disaster on PS4

LowTech

@OmegaStriver You said it all.
I Can't believe that 2K QAs didn't test this and knew about the problem.. They just didn't have enough time to fix it. (I love to give The Division 2 as an example of this since it came out completly broken in terms of textures on consoles and kinda still is..)
Also I think that most fps games are Pc oriented, so the main efforts are on pc developing..
Companies will continue to do this because there aren't any big consequences..
But hey, here's an idea: What about game reviewers giving lower scores saying "this game would be grate, like an 8 or a 9 IF this thing wasn't broken.. Clearly not thinking about console players. So, from us, is a 5".. Maybe they would start making things better, idk?

Re: Hands On: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Is Grittier, Better, and Overwhelming

LowTech

@ShogunRok I hope it doesn't goes like The Division 2, that is still a game full of bugs. Yes, they work hard to squash them, but it's funny how standards change from game to game.. Some games come out full of bugs and "it's ok, there'll be updates". No, it's not ok.. A lot of games come out clearly not finished. And we, as buyers should not tolerate this.. The beta and the Division 2 of today still share lot of bugs.. (likethe one that really really grind my gears, the texture popup, which is better, but still there)
I really hope Wildlands doesn't do the same (but I don't believe in that.. )

Re: No Man's Sky Beyond Introduces Multiplayer Social Space, the Nexus

LowTech

@ShogunRok I remember the initial idea that everyone had was that the world was the same for everybody, which wasn't true.
I don't think that they changed that, since it would be almost impossible.
I assume that it works similar to The Division in the way that you are on your own world and you can invite people to it so everything you both do, changes the world of the "host". But the gest can take everything he found with him.. I don't know.
I also assume that now there's this "room", in this case a place, that is commun to everyone (or at least the same people that are in the same server as the player), and that's why you can show your things (also similar to the Division).
Now that I wrote this, I see that I assume a lot..lol

Re: Borderlands 3 Boycotted by Fans Following Take-Two Investigation into Leaks

LowTech

@Paranoimia Yes, because they didn't have evidence they hired the guy. Or you are just right and they're trying to intimidate the 2 guys.
Yes, you are right, looks bad for them. But at the same time, if illegal things where made, and they feel like the police isn't doing enough or don't have the resources, what should they do? (I'm not saying that this happened, just being the devil's advocate here)

Re: Marvel's Avengers: We'll Always Be on Someone's Sh*t List

LowTech

@AdamNovice No, but it's their right, as consumers.. This is political and economical "thing", not a matter of games.. If you are not happy, you can allways point what you don't like. Even if you don't have the answer to the problem.. That's a free democracy my friend.. In terms of economy, a companie that doesn't listen to the consumers, is doomed (or, at least, the future is not that bright)

Re: Marvel's Avengers: We'll Always Be on Someone's Sh*t List

LowTech

@AdamNovice But it isn't people's job to point solutions.. A game is a product like any other: the clients tell what they don't like and if the devs listen to critcs and find the solutions, maybe at the end they have a good game and will sell well. If not, people simply won't buy the game.

Re: The Division 2's Massive New Update Adds Expeditions, Shepherd System, Buffs All Skills

LowTech

The scenario changes are welcome. But for everything they try to correct, they brake 3 others.
The number of bugs in this game is getting bigger and bigger.. I think the people that play it just got used to it (and I know lots of people that just play this game) and probably they are not used to higher standards. But, sorry, I am. And although the devs interact a lot with the community and I bet they are doing their best, any other game at this state, would already been crushed by media and would be dead..
The facts that it still goes on, is proof of the potential it has. But even people with lower standards are getting tired..

Re: PS4 Exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man Is the Best-Selling Superhero Game Ever

LowTech

@GodGamer it has lots of resemblances. I think spider-man success is more a product of really good marketing then any other thing. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, but I was quite disappointed with it, giving the success it had. I think its over hyped. On the other hand, I think Batman suffers from exactly the opposite. In terms of games, I put Batman over spider-man, easy.

Re: PS4 Exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man Is the Best-Selling Superhero Game Ever

LowTech

It's actually kinda surprising, but at the same time one is a game for all ages and the other is darker for more mature gamers. Also, Spider-Man is a character that almost everyone loves, and Batman hasn't that love from everyone.
Personally I prefer the Batman games. Much darker and better stories, and combat mechanics are still great. The characters, I loved them both. Both orphans, with cliché background, Spider-man with the humor and Batman with the darkness that comes with him. Frank Miller explored that better then anyone and after that, Batman became more than human in collans.

Re: You Can Attack 'Most People' in Cyberpunk 2077, But Be Wary of Police and Gangs

LowTech

@tomassi I kinda agree with you. I have this theory that The witcher 3 was such a big hit in pc and consoles because it was a 3rd person, otherwise, it wouldn't be that good in consoles. So I'm kinda apprehensive regarding this. I'll buy it, for sure, and it will almost brake sale records, but I think it will change what people expect from cd project red's games in contrast with what they feel now..

Re: The Division 2 Director Asks for Thoughts on a Single Player Story-Driven Division Game

LowTech

Lol, they didn't even got the Div2 to work properly and are already talking about a new game? this is bs for me. I don't remember being this frustrated with a game (not even close). The amount of bugs is just incredible. And they're allways trying to make things better by changing and improving gear status, wich would be nice, if it wasn't so damn frustrating.. When you think you're getting a really nice set, they just change things and voila, your set is no longer that good and you're being slaughter in DZ.. And it's clear that this frustration is well spread. Even though we don't have real numbers and I can't prove this, the number of players is dropping. Big time. The number of players will probably go up next Tuesday, but with the current state of the game, it will drop really fast.. again..

Re: The Division 2 Dates Its First DLC Episode, Doesn't Go Down Well with Fans

LowTech

@CameronEB Sorry, but I totally disagree with you.
I'm a dev, so I understand the PTS. But you can not do it for everyone with a pc.
Even though the content has bugs, if you have a PC you can play it (I believe that when saying that it's free, it's implied that you need a copy of the game) . And you are playing before the people that payed to play before you... Since it came out, the game has been oriented completly to PC. The texture loading time in consoles has made me so angry that you can't even imagine (especially when it was kinda sugested by a moderator in the forum to buy an ssd). And now this.
Just get more QA's to test the game.. Simple. How do the other companies do? How is it possible that so many other games with better graphics, physics etc, came out without a tenth of the bugs?
It's a 3A game. No excuses. Test it in house. Too many bugs? Get better devs and QA's or reinforce the teams, change the release procedures, improve the testing methods, get new tools, use different development methodology, I don't know..
Because, at the end, a game is a software. If it has too many bugs, there are solutions to it. PTS shouldn't be one.

Re: PS Plus July 2019 PS4 Games Changed After Fan Backlash

LowTech

Well, for me is a much better month, since I wanted to buy Detroit.. But at the same time I feel that if they announced PES and wanted to make things better, they should had added a game instead of replacing it. Maybe add a game not as good as Detroit, but a good one anyway.. Still, it's nice that they heard us..

Re: The Division 2's Latest Update Seems to Break Enemy AI and Damage Output Again

LowTech

I've been playing The Division 2 since day One.
I've never found a game with so many bugs. Ever.. I've made really good friends in the game and that's the only reason whey I keep playing it.
There's still the "texture loading time issue" that they just keep ignoring. There're huge threads in the "The division 2 playstation official forum" that have only one answer: "thank you. We'll pass the information".
The list of bugs goes on:
There are also sound issues where you can fire a bullet, reload and only after all that you hear anything.. Problems with loot drops. Problems enemies just going underground and then pop up.
Not to mention the build system that's broken since day one.
If I could, I would sell my game in a sec. But I pre-order it on ps store. Lesson learned: Never again.

Re: Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry - Disco Suits, Toilet Humour, and Questionable Dating Tactics

LowTech

@kendomustdie My first ones where Broken Swords, at the time.. But then I start searching at the magazines and even sent a letter to one asking for a list of games like this (I think I was 9 or 10 years old). yap, game magazines where Da Thing..
So, my favorites are Nightlong (cyberpunk style, loved it),Grim Fandango (it's so well written) and Blade Runner. If you haven't tried any of these 3, you must.
Funny thing, I never really enjoyed much Tales of monkey island..

Re: Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry - Disco Suits, Toilet Humour, and Questionable Dating Tactics

LowTech

Oh boy, a point and click mature game with dark humor. How I loved these games.. Broken sword, sanitarium, Nightlong, Grim Fandango, Blade Runner, Beneath a Steel Sky, and the list goes on.. I played all that I could. Still love them. Really nice to know that a game like this, in a ps4, gets a 7. I just hope that the author isn't giving a score affected by emotions. Because I would.

Re: The Metal Gear Solid Remake Made in Dreams Has Handed Over the Tools to You

LowTech

well, "opinions are like noses. Everyone has one".. And people have the right to have it and express it, as long as it does not offend anyone. If someone gets offended because a game was criticized, well, it's my opinion that this person should die. =D ( jk. That person should get a life..)
It is also my opinion that just from looking to a game, most of the times I can tell if I will like it or not. Exactly the same way many people will look at a game and think they will like it.
On the subject of Dreams, I believe it's a great idea, and a few good things could get out from it, because there're too many people with too much time to spare. But it's like "to count your chickens before they're hatched".. Saying it's going to be game of the year it's a little bit too much for me..

Re: Guide: Pre-Order E3 2019's Biggest PS4 Games

LowTech

I had never pre-ordered a game until The Division 2. And What I learned from that is: Never Pre-order.. Ever.

Games come full of bugs and actually, the guys that pre-order, since they start to play earlier, continue to work as QA's..

Edit: Although I'm really tempted to ignore my own self advice and go for cyberpunk and death stranding..

Re: The Division 2 - With a Few Tweaks, This Could Be Something Special

LowTech

Well, I'm actually here because I've been playing the Division from the first day.
As I played the first one and I must say that this one feels very different in a bad and good way.
PVE it's much better but at the same time, PVP and the darkzones are just really bad (my opinion).
But in the end, it's a good game.

With that said, I also, at this moment, do not advise anyone to buy this game. It's completly broken: textures loading time, loot system has bugs, combat PVE has bugs, pvp = bugs. And so on and so on. The one that bothers me more, is actually the "textures loading time" since is allways happening so I can see it all the time.
The thing is so bad that people started buying ssd disks, because the bug isn't even officialy recognised by Massive..

So, for me, it would be a 7, maybe an 8.
BUT, since the game is so damn broken, a 6 would be the best option..

Re: The Division 2 Dev Says It Won't Adjust Raid Difficulty on Consoles, Prompting Community Backlash

LowTech

@Splat The all 'Division idea' is to eventually go for the darkzone and PVP. Or at least, it was. While trying to make people that say the samething like you happy, they already f* up the darkzone.
But it makes total sense to have the higher gear in the darkzone. It's more difficult and danger, so it makes sense that the reward is better.

Personal opinion: a lot of people tried the beta and liked the game without understanding what the game was supposed to be about, not even knowing well the first one. And now that they have it, are giving feedback to change it accordingly to what they want.
Which makes sense in a perspective of someone that bought something and was expacting another. But, the thing is, people bought a game that they would never like very much..

Re: The Division 2 Dev Says It Won't Adjust Raid Difficulty on Consoles, Prompting Community Backlash

LowTech

About matchmaking: I completely changed my opinion. The Raid needs a good team that cooperates at a new level. Matchmake would not help with that..
About the raid it self: Yes, pc players will allways have an advantage with mouse and keyboard, and that's a fact that every console player has to accept. Now, being that said, I believe that something has to be done to the raid, but don't know exactly what.(lol) I Know a few hardcore console division players. Guys that really play the division (1 and 2) and nothing else (I really don't know how they do it..). In the first division, going on an incursion with them was nothing, but even these guys haven't finished the raid yet. They are all trying to make a build just to the raid but the general feeling is that the raid was something that everyone was waiting for, but it's a disappointment. So at this point I don't know if the raid it's too difficult, but still having such a big thing in the game that just a few people can finish, well, I think that that says something..

Re: The Division 2 Sales Didn't Meet Ubisoft's 'Ambitious Expectations'

LowTech

Maybe if there weren't so many bugs that where on the beta that still exist today, the sales would be better.
Also, they focus a lot in PC. You can clearly feel, on the weekly state of the game, that consoles are not the main focus of the devs..(just to give 2 examples: you can see this with the initial mapping of buttons for consoles, and the HUGE bug that still exists today that I'm tired of talking: the Texture loading time.. a bug that exists only in consoles)

Re: The Division 2’s First Raid Launches Tomorrow, Will Not Have Matchmaking

LowTech

@Its_badW0lf I agree and disagree with you at the same time. I would agree with you 100% but the fact is that (I think) most of the people can't get 7 friends to join at the same time the team.. I wouldn't want a mandatory matchmaking, but the option to do so.
Example: you have 5 friends ready to go in. So you could go with a team of 6 OR you could try and make matchmaking and you would have a full team.
That was what I was thinking..
