Re: PS Plus Premium Members Bemused by Sony Once Again

LowTech

Honestly I have chosen Premium just to play the mafia remastered games, since I am a huge fan of the first original.
The yakuza remastered games were also a good addition.
But did not have the time to get to the mafia games.
And now they are gone.
And I won't have time to play all the yakuza also, so they will probably be gone in the mean time.

So yes, ps plus extra is the way to go for me, for sure.

Re: Best Sports Games on PS5

LowTech

As a huge huge fan of car simulator games, and a huge huge fan of GT since the first one, i am actually very disappointed with the last one. Yes, it's better than "Sport" in may ways, but the lack of content and the behaviour of many cars makes GT just a "better than average" car game. (so I really don't understand the "Big single player campaign" on the pros list. Are we talking about the same game here?) To be the first of the "Best sports games".... it just doesn't seems right.
Even MotoGp 2021 or FIFA are better than GT these days.

Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Revealed

LowTech

@Flaming_Kaiser well, maybe I am completely wrong and I am being unfair.
But maybe not, because I recall making a comment here (I still have it in the notifications) but it has been deleted. And also I have in the notifications that you answered me. but it's also gone.

Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Revealed

LowTech

@ShogunRok What happened to all the "not so good feedback" on the month? have them been deleted? Really?
This is how you lose people's trust. And readers. And credibility.
I even checked the comunity rules to make sure i didnt got any rule wrong..
But hey, it's a private we site, you do what you want.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Leaked Early

LowTech

Another great month... Not.
While XBox pass just announces that A Plague's Tale 2 will be free day one, along with Scorn, with Plus we get Man of Medan (10€ physical copy), Crash Bandicoot 4, a nice game if you weren't alive and playing in 1996. And "Arcadegeddon", that amazing game that I never heard of....
It just keeps getting better and better.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus PS5, PS4 Games for April 2022 Leaked Early

LowTech

I don't share your enthusiasm.
A failed AAA game, a child's game and a card's game.
I'm sorry, but for me this is not a good month, at all.

And if the rumors are correct, with the launch of a new service, this is not good publicity.
Most months have been a really big disapointment honestly. it's either really old games, kid's games or games that failed.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Gran Turismo 7?

LowTech

@BRT15 Oh, really? that's too bad because Gt5 was not bad at all. I think because it was the first I ever played online, I spent so much time with it.
But nothing gets that feeling from the first one. And gt2, when it came out, with the number of cars just, ridiculous and amazing..

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Gran Turismo 7?

LowTech

I haven't played much, I am too busy getting my last 12 wins so that I can platinum GTSport (finally), but from the litle I tried, the controll of the cars seem harder than Sport. Which is not necessary a good thing, since I played all GT with a controller, and we are suppose to be able to use one, and this one seems to be way much oriented for a wheel. At this moment mixed feelings I guess.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5, PS4 Shimmering Bug Solved

LowTech

@Reeneman
I have to agree that people go too far this days. Saying it is unplayable is way too much. Also the review bombing that the gaming is suffering in metacritic is just and idiotic use of a very good tool.
Maybe I am exaggerating but the feeling I have is that people this days just don't understand the concept of having common sense. I saw people deffending "cyberpunk" on day one and I saw people attacking "The last of us 2" saying it was a really bad game just because they didn't agree how the story went..

Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5, PS4 Shimmering Bug Solved

LowTech

@Reeneman
I am sorry but it's a bug. and a big one. it breaks the immersion completly. And I payed for a working product. if it has a bug, I should be able to complain about it. I worked for the money that I spent on it. And I am lucky enought to earn a salary that allows me to buy a game per month without any problems, but other people are not that lucky. that have to save in order to buy them. So yes, we have the right (I would even say "the obligation") to complain and it has to be fixed asap.
This mediocrity is a constant thing and it has to stop. But if people are "always happy" with mediocre, unfinished or unpolished products, companies will keep doing what they do: releasing unfinished or buggy games.
And btw, the restart bla bla bla didn't work. so it's either a bad correction, or a lie.

Re: No Man's Sky Gets Companions in Another Big PS5, PS4 Update

LowTech

I bought it last week. It's a really good game. I can't imagine how it was when it got out, but I can say that, today, I am enjoying it very very much. And the fact that I can keep evolving my stuff and even friends' bases without them being online, it's so cool. loving it.

Re: The Division 2 Patch 12.1 Brings PS5 4K 60FPS Support, Out This Week

LowTech

A good game destroyed by the greed of the company when they asked for 30 or 40€ for an expension (no matter if you had a season pass or not).
After the initial bugs, the delay on several things and the clear preference for pc version and players, this was kinda the last drop for most console players.
The game has very few people playing it nowdays. Not sure this is enough. For me it isn't, thats for sure.

Re: Call of Duty: Warzone Has No Proper Meta Right Now, And Fans Love It

LowTech

Not really true. The Mac is still, by far, the most deadly weapon at close mid range. It's still too strong. (it's better, but not enough)
It's too buggy at the momment, with the game not counting correctly kills or other stuff, giving fatal server error if using operators from "Cold War", not evolving the new operators.. and the list goes on.
And although I play it everyday (it's still good fun with friends), I feel that the number of cheaters is on the rise again.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Patch 1.011 Out Now on PS5 and PS4, Huge List of Fixes Included

LowTech

@Omnicron I ended up opening the door before the update with 2 explosive arrows. lol. don't know if it's fixed or not..

The repeated gear bug is being used to get lots of money and some people like it. I personnaly am not exploiting it because I don't want to lose the updates on my gear set and because I don't like to exploit like that.

But my biggest concern is the secret mission activated after killing all drengr. I have not killed all yet, but I would like that it would activate, because I know that after I get the platinum trophy, I won't ever touch the game again or at least for a very long time, and if it's not resolved, probably i won't play it.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 Patch Coming Within 10 Days, Native PS5 Version Set for Second Half of 2021

LowTech

"Our testing did not showed a big part of the issues" really?
I guess that their qa team is not so great after all..
And not a single word about hiding on purpose the console versions on review.

Sorry, but this message didn't not improve in anyway my feeling towards CD red projekt..

And the excuse that the game is huge and all, well, just look at rdr2. it delivers way more and worked way much better.. That being said, i did not asked for a refund for my game, but it's still inside the plastic wrapping..

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Players Are Starting to Question the Game's Armour Set Microtransactions

LowTech

@Katsuhono I agree, BuggySoft has this tradition, but it's a global problem now. And people are ok and deffend the games like it's a football club.. There are people actually deffending Cyberpunk, just to give you an extreme example..
I would tend to agree with you on the time spending, but actually most times one thing is not related to the other. i am not saying that what you are saying is impossible, but most of the time the teams are not the same, so resources are not being used on the wrong stuff. Yes, sometimes having more people working on the same thing get's things done faster, but there is a saying in devellopment: "9 pregnants don't get you a baby in one month".
But again, the article should be about "why do we have payed content being added every 2 weeks but the game is still buggy as hell?".

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Players Are Starting to Question the Game's Armour Set Microtransactions

LowTech

Once again, people trying to create problems where they don't exist (in my opinion).
It's a single player game. No pvp. Pay to win? really?
First, they have the right to add payed content
Second, although i would never spent a penny buying this stuff, i have the right to spend my money where i want. NO one has the right to say otherwise.
Third, so what if there are more armour sets to buy? And more powerfull? if they didn't add any or added 100, would it make a difference to your experience if you are not buying them?

Real problems are bugs in the game, that people seem to accept has normal, or unfinished features.
It's a "global" problem, existing in most games now.
Actually, it's THE problem actually. The biggest one. and people are just ok with that..

go figure..

Re: Ubisoft Shoves XP Boosting Microtransaction into Assassin's Creed Valhalla a Month After Launch

LowTech

Microtransactions are bad when paying gives you an advantage over other player playing against you.

In a sigle player game, microtransactions are like DLC's, spend more money get more stuff..
So really, what's the problem?

I am from a time where who ever paid for a magazine would have access to cheat codes ,hacks or walkthroughs.. And guess what, no one cared.

As said in other comments, the game was not design to make you grind; The main story gives you lots of XP. These xp package will just allow you to explore parts of the map sooner and at the same time being able to kill enemies.
You can also do the same without paying, but you play really well or just avoid enemies..

Poeple's priorities seem wrong these days.

Re: Hands On: This Is How Cyberpunk 2077 Runs on PS5, PS4 Pro, and PS4

LowTech

About the popins: "I told you so".
It was expected. I think they were very careful with the images they showed before.
The playstation disk speed is one of the worst parts of the console (if not the worse) in terms of performance.

I was expecting this, but when they delayed it again, i thaught "maybe it will be better now". but nop.

Most of the things can be corrected. But the performance is a hard one. yes, it can be improved, but the problem is that without an ssd, older consoles don't stand a chance..

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Patch 1.004 Out Now on PS5, PS4, Features Huge List of Improvements

LowTech

@themightyant Yes, I was surprised in a good way when I got here. But not all stores do this. Some sell them at the "normal" price. So this is a policy from some stores where they lose in the profit margin, but gain in volume. But I totally agree with you. I would never pre-order a game if it wasn't cheaper and I really wanted to play it as it comes out. Still, as I said before, I allways wait a few weeks to start playing them.
I'll only start playing cyberpunk after I platinum Valhalla, so that should take until christmas at least.
Same with me in terms of buying games as they come out until now (apart from GrandTurismo). Still there's a downside: the games come with the box in french. =D but hey, I take what I can get.
I am curious to see if this price policy will continue with the ps5 games.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Patch 1.004 Out Now on PS5, PS4, Features Huge List of Improvements

LowTech

@themightyant So here in France, usually games come out between 40 and 50 or 55 euros (there are exceptions). After a week or 2, they go up to a price between 60 and 70. So, it's not a huge difference, but still it's not bad at all. The game is now at 69.99€. I am from Portugal and they come out at 60 or 70 right away. Never cheaper.
Promotions or large discounts depends more on the time of the year than anything else. Christmas and sales are really good sometimes in terms of games. And there's a huge second hand market here.
I pre-ordered RDR2 for 42€. And Assassins Valhalla for 51,50€.
And also Cyberpunk at 52,80€

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Patch 1.004 Out Now on PS5, PS4, Features Huge List of Improvements

LowTech

@BradT Swordfish is there, but yes, apparently the way to get there is a bit broken. Maybe this update changes things, since it does something to the fish spawning,

PC achivements I don't know, since I am playing it on a playstation (like almost everyone in here)

multiplayer ? now that's something new for me. I don't think that multiplayer is planned. There are some talks about co-op but if it comes out, I would be surprised. Still, as far as i know multiplayer was never announced.

Yes, fabrics are bugged. But apparently with the patch is half solved, kinda.

Nowdays games come out very bugged. But this one, since i did not installed it right away and i am taking my time, is not that bad. Maybe I am lucky.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Patch 1.004 Out Now on PS5, PS4, Features Huge List of Improvements

LowTech

I 've been playing this for a week now, and apart from the sound bug during dialogues and some light flickering in some areas, not many were found.
I had a big one after redeeming the bonus quest from pre-order, and I was lucky to have a save old enough so I had to repeat a quest. But after that no big problems.

But like @KPraj :
after the update yesterday, for the first time, i actually found 3 bugs, with enemies going into walls, not being able to attack them because they were 30cm higher than me and a third one with Eivor's cloak just going through some equipment even more visible now.
Also, maybe it's just me but combat seemed a bit different in terms of trying to hit without locking the target.

And there's something that really annoys me: I don't know how it is in other difficulties, but in hard, it's just almost impossible to get the cloak on and go slowly in a village without being noticed. so it's a stupid feature when in theory you can go in incognito, but you can't even pass the 2 guards at the main entrance because you have to pass by them less then 3 meters and they spot you right away.

Still, loving the game and the small details I find here and there.

Re: This Is Cyberpunk 2077 Running on PS5, PS4 Pro

LowTech

ok, Maybe I am being pessimist here, but I think there's a reason why they're only showing slow pace images on ps pro: the disk speed. Pop-ins are a real problem with the stock disk. The division 2 had a lot of problems with this when it came out, and it still has some.
My guess is, ps5 has no problems with this (that's why we had the car chase on the ps5) but ps 4 will have issues with the reading speed.
Or maybe not, and it will be the greatest game to run on a ps4.
