Re: Feature: Our Most Anticipated PS4 Games of 2020

@leucocyte I think the combat in The witcher 3 is not that clunky and actually, after a while, I really started to enjoy it. You have two modes of movement in the options, the first and original and the one they added later. Have you tried both?

Re: Feature: Our Most Anticipated PS4 Games of 2020

LowTech

I still think that Cyberpunk won't have the same success as The Witcher 3 because it will be 1st person. This will be great for pc players, but for consoles, it won't. So the success of The Witcher 3 in all platforms is related to the fact that it was good to play with both a controller or a mouse/keyboard.
Still, it is in my top three for next year, along with Ghost of Tsushima .
I think that Skull and Bones won't deliver, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is yet tba and Mount and Blade 2 is tbc, so I really don't have a third game..

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's CES 2020 Press Conference?

LowTech

"PSN Surpasses 100 Million Monthly Users, More Than a Third Subscribed to PS Plus", So that's a lot of money that they get for their "amazing service".. I remember very well when they told us that the online should have to be paid because the costs were becoming to high to mantain the quality of the online servers. At the time I thought that it made sense.
But now the quality of the plus is very low, the number of games is the lowest ever, and most of the time the games are really old or bad. So I must say that in my opinion, we are being robbed with this service.

Re: Download December 2019's Free PS Plus Games While You Still Can

LowTech

Monster Energy Supercross was really bad.
Didn't finish the Titanfall 2 campaign, but I will.
I don't play for the trophies, but it really grinds my gears when there are trophies that are much easier when you play the game with a mouse and keyboard, and there is one trophy in Titanfall that that's the case..

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PlayStation Plus Games for January 2020?

LowTech

@LiamCroft 3 old remastered games that most people have already played.. and are really cheap.. and 2 of them already have come out in plus before.. so they're repeating games...
And goat simulator was almost free a couple of times with the promotions..

@RedMan33 Sorry, but you have it the wrong way: Ps plus is not supposed to be about the online playing, but about the games.. The online playing is the bonus part.. When it was created, no one was even thinking to pay to play online, but sony created this "plus" and this service had: ps3 and psp games (like two or three of each) per month, early access to upcoming games, beta trials, store discounts and free cloud storage. and later ps4 games..
So I think that the quality of the ps plus service has gone down.. a lot.

Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS4 Games of 2019

LowTech

@LiamCroft I'm think that your vision, and most of the reviewers, is different from most of the players.
You play games everyday. So do I, most of the days, but for an hour or so. I imagine you play much more.
I think that when you get something really new like Death Stranding, it's like a breeze of fresh air. I think that that's the main difference.
And that way of looking to games also changes your perception of it. I'm not saying that anyone is right or wrong, I'm just saying that reviewers tend to search different "feelings" or experiences from a game than other players. Or maybe I'm completly wrong, but those are just my thoughts on the matter.

Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS4 Games of 2019

LowTech

@JJ2 I get where @LiamCroft is going. Days Gone is not entirely new. If you hadded Zombies (not new) to a Far Cry game, sharaaaan, you have Days Gone (technically).
But I'm with you 100% on the rest: People don't want to play boring games. And it doesn't need to be something new. If it's well made and the story is good (because most of the times, it isn't), it's what people want.
Even Red Dead Redemption 2 is kind of an example of this. It isn't something new. It's the same thing as before but improved.(improved a lot, but that's it. Although I still prefer the first one by miles).

Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS4 Games of 2019

LowTech

For me this is the final "evidence" that shows us how bad 2019 was in terms of gaming.
Not that Days Gone is a bad game, because it's not, but in a really good year, a game like this would be in the top 10, maybe in the top 5 but not number one.
And it also proves that players although appreciate new ideas, if they are boring, meh (Death Stranding).

Re: Happy New Year from the Push Square Team

LowTech

Happy new year guys. I know that most of us (ok, me) sometimes are a pain in the ass with some comments, but hey, we are here because we really like what you do and how you do it.
Keep up the good work and Happy New Year to everyone in the PushSquare team
btw, by "some comments" I meant something like this: the new decade starts next year.. =p Sorry, but had to be said =D

Re: Game of the Year: Ken's Top 5 PS4 Games of 2019

LowTech

@m1349 of course that a lot of people played it. but not as in a massive way as other games.. What I meant was that most of them are not the kind of game everyone wants to play and for me, that says something. It doesn't mean that they're not good. Just that they are not that good.. In truth, since I haven't tried most of them, I can't really say anything. And I can't say that my top 5 is much better..
What I'm really trying to say here is that I really think 2019 wasn't a great year in terms of gaming.
I miss the feeling that I had when I played for the first time a game as Kotor, mgs, the first Mafia, tes oblivion or the witcher 3.

There's also the possiblity that I didn't bought the right games.. lol.

Re: Game of the Year: Ken's Top 5 PS4 Games of 2019

LowTech

@nessisonett I was trying to be ironic by showing that the best games of the year for someone like @kendomustdie, most people didn't played (or that's the idea that I have).. And my best games of the year, a lot of people didn't played either.. Which tells me that 2019 was not a good year.. Hoping for a better gaming year in 2020..

Re: Game of the Year: Ken's Top 5 PS4 Games of 2019

LowTech

Apart from Sekiro, I just can't agree with this list.
But then again, there wasn't a game this year that really blow me away. To be fair, most of them I didn't played: I allways liked DMC and I haven't tried this one yet. I was never a fan of kingdom hearts or resident evil, so didn't try those too, and maybe they're good.

I'll try to finish Death Stranding, but I have to connect a coffee machine to my veins first.

Re: The Witcher Netflix Show Sparks Huge Player Resurgence for The Witcher 3

LowTech

@Nyne11Tyme Loved the show. When Andy Whitfield passed away I was like "this isn't happening. The guy is Health in person"..
If you liked spartacus, you should try Rome. Is a litle bit older and has a lot less action, but it's one of my favourites.
If you like action and didn't watch Band of Brothers, just quite your job or anything that you're doing and go for it (and it's based on a real events).

@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L The punnisher and the daredevil are, by far, the best marvel series. Just love them. The corridor scene is based on the Oldboy movie, that also has one made in one shot.
And the amount of violence is just perfect =D

Re: The Witcher Netflix Show Sparks Huge Player Resurgence for The Witcher 3

LowTech

@Paranoimia It's not exactly the typical RPG. It's an action rpg.. Yes, there are rpg elements, but it's still very action focus. You should really give it a try. There are tones of potions that can help you, but I just didn't bother very much on learning what they did. Just used the best equipment I could had (searched a litle online ) and that was it. And studied the enemies also, to learn their weaknesses.

Re: Poll: What Is Your PS4 Game of the Year 2019?

LowTech

It's not really fair when I didn't played some in the list, even though I still want to.. Now that I look at the year summary, it wasn't that bad, but, in my opinion, it wasn't good too (for me it was, actually, very disappointing with one or two nice surprises).

Re: You Can Now Make Music in No Man's Sky with Latest Update on PS4

LowTech

I still have some questions about this game.
It isn't, still, how they said it would be, right? There are places where we can meet other players, like online lobbies, but you won't find other players while playing the game, like flying and "Hey, that's Joe that just passed by", right?

But I know it is possible to play with others, but how does that work? I assume you have to join someone's session, no? And if that person is not online, I can't continue to "build the thing we where building together". I'm assuming a similar "Conan's game behaviour".

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced at The Game Awards 2019?

LowTech

@Jaz007 I see your point of view but I just don't agree with it. I have the game, but I'm sorry, for me it's not that good.
But I agree with you, a game doesn't have to be fun to be good. But boring is boring, and for me, most of the time, the game's boring.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Haunts PS4 Summer 2020, Gets a Fantastic Looking Gameplay Trailer

LowTech

Ok, so 2019 wasn't the best year for gaming. We had a few good games, but nothing really special. (I was really disapointed with one or two and really suprised by one or two also..)
Next year, however, we have This game, The last of us 2, Cyberpunk , Mount and blade 2, Dying Light 2, The new Dragon age, Skull and Bones, Watchdogs, and the list goes on.. Aaaand the Playstation 5. SO, WHY ARE WE STILL IN 2019????

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced at The Game Awards 2019?

LowTech

First of all, Liam, this is not a thing with you or any kind of attack. It's just my thoughts on the matter: Nobody is going to talk about the game of the year that is not a 10, and the fact that the only game that got 10 in 10 this year is not? This just comes to me as proof that, although DS can be almost like a really advanced interactive movie very well made (it won all the awards that exist in movies, btw), as a game is not very good.. As an experience, a new and different one, maybe.
But it's branded as a game. Not as an experience. (yes, I know, games are experiences, but I think you get what I mean)
I still feel that if the same game was made by a different person, it would never, ever, get the scores it had.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Returns with Teaser, Full Trailer at The Game Awards 2019

LowTech

When I bought nioh I was expecting something like this. No monsters, no magic, just a "real samurai" thing.
Yap, I know, I didn't bothered to read anything. It was about a samurai and people said it was good, so I bought it. Stupid me.
Anyway, this is the kind of game I've been wating for for so long. I really hope it is as good as it looks.

Re: Poll: PlayStation Is 25 Years Old Today - What Is Your Favourite PlayStation Console?

LowTech

I have to choose the first one , the original PlayStation because it was the beginnig for me, as a real gamer. The first time I really played a game and couldn't wait to get home and continue the story.
I played in my neighbour's MasterSystem and later my cousins' Megadrive (when it got cheaper my mom got one for me and my brother). But the PlayStation was the real console for me. Grand Turismo had a book explaining driving theory and I read it all.
And Metal Gear solid was just one of the best experiences I had.. I still remember the first time I entered the corridor full of dead bodies.. And the first Medal of honors... Syphon Filter, Wipeout, Driver, tony hawk, Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain..
Oh, the memories.. and all thanks to platinum..

Now that I think about it, the game quality back than was amazing..

Re: December 2019 PS Plus Games Are Available to Download Now on PS4

LowTech

I gave Supercross a try.. I really did.. God..it's really bad..
Titanfall 2, on the other hand, is really good. I can now understand all the complains about call of duty black ops.
And the original is much better, more fluid, what a game.
I was going to buy it so many times and didn't. Still, not a very good month in terms of game value..

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PlayStation Plus Games for December 2019?

LowTech

I see people saying taht they want indie games. I see other people that only want AAA games.
So, it is impossible to have both ways. And it's true, they can't give us AAA games everymonth.
Still, and although I really want to try Titanfall and love racing games, the value of the games is a bit ridiculous, but understandable at the same time.. Mix feelings for me.

Re: Guide: Will Half-Life: Alyx Ever Come to PSVR?

LowTech

As many have stated before, for me this isn't a Half-Life game.
It's a game that has a story in the same universe, but that's it.

The Valve VR headsets wasn't selling well, and I don't know if this game was already planned or it it was a response to those short sells (I believe that it was already planned to boost the sells whatever happened), but the fact is that now, a lot of people will buy them.
And there's no interest to Valve to sell it on other platforms, so I would guess that is not coming to PS VR..
