Nope, but I'll most likely watch some friends stream it. It seems like the kind of game that would be fun to watch if you like the art and aesthetics. Actual people worked on the game, they spent time and resources to get it off the ground, I've no reason to want it to fail.
The Kirlian photography alone has me interested (the pictures at 40secs in) it captures electrical discharges around objects/people by exposing them to high-voltage, high-frequency electricity. The result is a picture of their emotional state. It's a great tool for a horror game, maybe they'll use it to find who's human or not.
It's hard to unsee Christian Bale in his skinny Machinist pose too, there's a lot of quick subtle nods to disturbing cinema in that trailer.
So many of those countries on that list are struggling more than the rest of us already. I already had a friend in Latin America quit current gen gaming last month because they couldn't pay for the online that was needed for co-op/friends.
Edit: Just asked that friend for more perspective 'the minimum wage in Brazil is R$ 1.518,00 so this is 24.5% of salary. The minimum wage in Brazil is equivalent to £202,13'
I'll remain cautiously optimistic until I see some footage or at the very least a screenshot. Official or leaked I'd take either, it's not like I haven't played through the story before, there's nothing there to really spoil. I've seen blocking, sneaking in other games, I'm not expecting them to reinvent the wheel.
Absolutely. There are a bunch of Deus Ex novels that would make great games. They've been tiding me over while I wait. I never understood why the games weren't more popular.
@get2sammyb It sounds like they made an exception then, I'm definitely avoiding the reviews if that's the case. I trust Empire to do it right but not IGN, I hardly ever agree with any of their game reviews now let alone TV/Film. Their review of Sea of Stars absolutely ruined the game for me, it was packed with spoilers. When they did remove it the damage was already done.
As much as I really WANT to play this version of Oblivion it's very weird not seeing any in-game/footage/assets? It's going to sell regardless but it's not too much to ask to see what we're getting. If it's from the ground up like Kraven said (which I hope is the case) then I'd absolutely jump in day one.
Just publish more games, I'd play a Sony Toaster if there were actual Sony games on it. It feels like we're stuck in a remaster limbo at the moment. There are far too many great Sony properties being warehoused, they need to fix that before dropping another console into the market.
This wouldn't be as bad if Nightreign wasn't a thing. I'm a diehard Fromsoft fan, I will be getting a Switch 2 but this should have also had a PS5 release. Nightreign already felt like it might be a cash-grab, now it feels like it absolutely is. Not a good look for Sony.
Nice to see a much needed win for Ubi, I almost didn't buy it because of all the drama running up to it's release. Good to be proven wrong on this one.
This game is why I've never finished Starfield. I think 'I wonder what's new in No Man's Sky?' then go straight back to NMS. I bought it twice just because I felt like I was ripping off the Devs by enjoying years of free content.
Really happy to see Ubi bounce back, the hate was getting old and they are responsible for so many of my favorite games. I'm looking forward to seeing what spinoff novels show up following the release, those are always fun.
All time classic, I'd love a sequel, or a remaster but my favorite FromSoft game would be the original Demon's Souls on PS3. It frustrated the hell out of me and was more rewarding than anything since.
I like what I saw. It felt a little like Fatal Frame, the scenery and art design works so well, it's impressive that they recorded sound from the actual location, the composers seemed very passionate and I'm curious to see if they add any Yokai to the game. The only downside was no trailer for Return to Silent Hill, the wait continues.
Gaming saved Lego, they were about to go under until they started to get involved with other licenses. I'd be curious to see what they can do, but it sounds like a big gamble.
Yeah I recently had Drug Dealer Simulator recommended to me after playing Farm Simulator. I mean some of the cultivation is similar but that's about where the similarities end. If it wasn't for sites like this I'd have to trawl through a lot of garbage to find what new games are actually worth my time.
@ThaBEN Plus+ isn't free and review bombing is done to try to damage potential sales and leverage the overall say about a games quality. There could be a million people saying 'don't try this game', the only thing I'd lose by not listening is some of my time. If I did listen to them I'd lose my personal choice and the ability to think for myself, the latter is more important.
And not that it matters but it's now sitting at an 82 on Metacritic along with: Helldivers 2, Lost Judgement, No Man's Sky and PGA TOUR 2K25. When I do look at those zero scores I see the word 'woke' over and over again, that tells me all I need to know about standards and expectations. It doesn't help either that those negative reviews seems to be written by twelve year olds who can barely string a sentence together.
It's hard to tell these days if a game really is as bad as people say because review bombing and hate has become so weaponized, I'll give it a go and see for myself.
I'm onboard because it's Rebellion and they are fantastic world builders. I do wish they'd do something with Judge Dredd though, I'm sure they could redeem the last game.
I haven't played an AC game since Valhalla but Shadows is slowly starting to grab my interest. I'll still wait for the actual release and it's accompanying reviews before I pull the trigger. I can't imagine waiting this long for a game I was excited for only to keep seeing it pushed back. Hopefully the wait is worth it for the die hard AC fans.
This is awful to see. The one franchise that I never thought would go this route finally has. It's hard for games to go back from that model too, once consumers start to bite it becomes an embedded practice. Hopefully it only affects Nightreign since I'll never play that game, I'd hate to see it happen to an actual FromSoft title.
To be fair I only buy physical and those copies aren't coming from GameStop. All they did was remind me why I stopped buying from them, offering gamers peanuts for their secondhand copies never inspired me to shop there.
That's okay I can wait until they patch out all the bugs. It released in an awful state, even to the point where launching the game above 800×600 causes a crash. It really does feel like a cash grab.
No for a couple of reasons. I don't think a Rockstar story is worth £100. If they do push a heavy price tag it will be to justify their accompanying online mode. I don't care about GTA Online, and I think it's responsible for many companies focusing on live service models today. £100 is how much I'd pay for a game and it's season pass, or how much I'd pay for a special edition version of a game that included a physical art-book and other extras. I don't expect either.
If I did pay that much day one for a single game with no season pass or DLCs then I'd be enabling the next company that comes along to do the same thing.
This will be the first FromSoft game I don't buy. It's odd even saying that especially since it's my favorite franchise. I am curious to see how well it does. I've nothing against the game, it just isn't for me. I'll pick up the artbook if they release one for it.
Physical all the way, if they go digital only then I'll work backwards and go retro. I've been collecting for a long and collecting media is it's own hobby so that would definitely be my back-up plan. I'm not worried though, companies like Amazon UK ship a lot of physical games. I've yet to run into any problems.
I'll take it day one bugs and all, I just hope they include the DLC, I loved Shivering Isles. I discovered Oblivion GOTY and Fallout3 both on the same day, such great memories. Even the guy at the checkout said I'd have a blast, he was right. I returned a week later for Fallout3 GOTY, it's hard to make memories like that anymore. I believe it was GAME, when they actually had games.
I'm glad I voted for Civilization 7, it looks so lonely at the very back. I really hope the devs include an option to disable the mechanic that forces you to switch civilizations throughout your playthrough. It's a deal breaker if they don't. I'll definitely be making time for Death Stranding 2. Maybe Wilds too, World was amazing.
@JackStiles Miles Morales made a 242% return on the games original investment. He's not white. That's over 14 million copies of the game. Or rather 14 million people who had no problem playing a game featuring a character who wasn't 'white'. Quality has nothing to do with skin colour.
I had to Google DEI because of this article, I'm not kidding. And it still makes no sense. Maybe I'm not playing enough of the popular games, or it's getting lost in translation. Or maybe you have to experience an actual dictatorship to predict how being anti equality/diversity will end. I get that some people don't like change but as others have stated it's 2025, the world will continue to move on without them.

@Czar_Khastik Death by a thousand paper-cuts.

Nope, but I'll most likely watch some friends stream it. It seems like the kind of game that would be fun to watch if you like the art and aesthetics. Actual people worked on the game, they spent time and resources to get it off the ground, I've no reason to want it to fail.
Re: Bungie's New PS5 Shooter Marathon Grabs September Release Date
I like the aesthetics and the brave use of colour but it's not for me.

Re: Void Breaker Is a Breakneck, Fully Destructible FPS Coming to PS5 This Year
Not for me but it's good to see someone is taking destructible environments seriously again. There's been a drought after Red Faction.

Re: New Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch Is Just Trolling Us at This Point
They need to fix the issue where we have no Bitterblack Isle-like DLC. That one DLC was better than the entirety of the first game.
