@PocketHotDogs Were you on there for the last few days of Friday the 13th? It was a whole event, lots of people on there we're talking about the movies/books even the TV series. The Horror fanbase came out in force. It will probably happen for Evil Dead too. It's still not as bad as Evil Dead on the PS1 with the constant spawning of enemies, they took never stay dead to a whole new level. It meant most people never saw anything past the first level, they didn't have the ammo to get through.
@dodgykebaab I just closed on my first home. There's a garden but it's Uncharted territory. I considered buying that cosy garden sim (not this one) on PS5 to get some practice in before I start doing whatever it is you're supposed to do back there.
@Mythologue It's written by Sam Winkler. The same lead writer for Bl2, BL3 and Wonderlands. The guy is on Linkedin and all of the other places you'd expect to find someone in the industry.
Friday the 13th first, then Evil Dead, it's a safe bet that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will eventually be next. The servers can be very choppy and the TXCM licensing has always been a rough one. For a long time it was owned by the Mafia, Louis Peraino used it as a front company, getting the rights back was almost impossible until his crew was indicted for conspiracy.
Licensing is what killed The Friday the 13th game, there's so little preservation when it comes to movie licensed games and so little transparency over ownership, the game could be be there one minute and gone the next. Not groovy.
@Don_Corleone I wasn't surprised, I only saw it as a trailer but some of the reactions were as if the sky was falling. There's still a lot of disbelief that games like Forza made it over to PS5 with some Xbox users questioning what's next. For some people it will take a while for that belief to shift but profit is profit. Everyone wins in this situation, even if they don't see it.
It's a weird situation, one I didn't think we'd ever see but it makes it easier to focus on one console when you previously had to switch between two. They've moved over almost all of the the Xbox exclusives that I cared about. Now all we need is for Flight Simulator to land on Sony's doorstep.
I don't know how I'd feel as an Xbox fan right now, I saw the reaction to that one DOOM trailer. Part of it felt like a touch grass situation, but I can get why they might feel burned by Microsoft. At the end of the day both companies are profiting from this situation, and profit often equals growth. The one thing this will probably do is prevent me from buying the next Xbox, whatever form that takes. I don't see a reason to, yet at least.
I still have to remind myself this isn't Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Zero. I had a bootleg of that game with the Ridge Racer name both on the box and on the title screen, with a full dub. For years I thought I was playing Ridge Racer. It wasn't until I heard the soundtrack being played in a sketchy nightclub in Poland that I found out. The guy was a gamer. He even played Hell March from Command and Conquer, a mini moshpit instantly formed. Bootlegs were really common, most official games never got released and bootleggers often got inventive like that. Switching titles especially, I've seen about 20 different versions of GTA since then. I keep meaning to start a collection but it doesn't feel right giving them shelf space.
A game might always be for me but I respect the hustle. They didn't just showcase a game last night they showed the power of the console/platform too. Regardless of the game and how well it sells it does give the console/brand even more visibility and that means more potential sales for Sony. There's always more than one way to look at it.
Had I not watched it I'd have had no interest in BL4. Their initial reveal trailer didn't sell it to me, the characters looked too trimmed down. They didn't in the showcase. I love the first two BL games. One day a message arrived from some LittleBigPlanet friends to check out a new game and the next day we were all on there shootin' and lootin', just brilliant memories. And one of my earliest platinums, it made me want to try every class from start to finish. Few games do that, so did BL2.
I never had that with BL3. Too many people were experiencing a kind of franchise fatigue, especially with so many DLCs. We never had a dedicated group of friends playing at once even when it was on Plus. I've got a lot more optimism for this new one. It looked a lot more like BL2 than I expected and it definitely made me consider a buy.
I think Sony are onto something here, and I don't think the game has to appeal to me to work. It will appeal to someone and that's all they have to do. Of course I'd like to see a State of Play for something like Death Stranding 2 but I don't need to see it to know I'm going to buy it. If I did see more footage of the game it would only spoil something I'd rather discover by playing it. BL4 needed that stream, Death Stranding 2 didn't, it'll sell gangbusters.
It looks really promising and definitely one of those times where my cautious optimism turned into something more definitive. The gameplay looked tight and slick on the Pro. The level we saw looked more bleak and realistic, the glide mechanic looked a bit off but only because it's from a first person perspective, dynamic weather and dynamic events are something I didn't expect. Nor was what they call 'Big Encore' meaning we can farm bosses more easily. The weapon customization looked fantastic as did the overhauled loot system, skills and traits.
I didn't expect couch Co-op either (something more games need to do) It looked a lot more like the first two games, which is what I'd hoped for but never expected. I'm sure folks will still find something wrong with it but as a looter shooter it seems to (from what they showed us) do exactly what it's meant to do. Thanks for hosting the Livestream.
@Bamila This actually isn't Ark 2. It's the same game (Ark: Survival Evolved) enhanced for PS5 with the DLC maps included (added over time) Ark 2 is still in development. There was no upgrade path from Ark Evolved PS4 to Ark Ascended PS5, which as you imagine didn't go down well. It had to be bought again. They even closed down the official servers. Now you have to play Ascended if you want to run c-op/clans.
@Matroska If that's the same Gun with Thomas Jane (The Punisher before Dolph Lundgren) Ron Perlman, Lance Henriksen and a bunch of others then I absolutely remember it. I hadn't thought about that game in years. It was pretty bad but the cast made up for it. Crime Boss: Rockay City had a good cast too but they didn't make up for it. I don't know what happened to the direction in that game but the voice acting was dreadful, they even made Chuck Norris sound bad.
I have a high tolerance for bad games, it comes from seeing if they have any actual redeeming features. I managed to make it through both SAW games, it was like being tortured by the real Jigsaw. It was that bad and brutal. I had dreams about it for weeks after. I can still hear Billy the puppet laughing each time I died to some broken janky mechanic.
I played it on Gamepass (all my DLCs are over there) it feels very surreal but I'm not buying all of the extra content again. The base game would feel weird without it.
@DTfearTheBEARD But it's just a card game. How fun could that possibly be? - was me with Gwent in The Witcher 3, then Slay The Spire. There's something really addictive about card games.
@Kiefer-Sutherland I think 7 Days got so much hate because the version we got back on PS4 was an early Alpha. I found it day one in a local gamestore, they'd gotten in 3 copies and they'd put one aside thinking I'd like it. We were due updates but everything went into limbo. The review copies ended up being that Alpha and people tore it apart. Sammy called it 'Youtubers The Game' and gave it a 3/10, the Alpha was that bad.
They didn't send out enough review codes when they launched the nextgen version. I'm still hearing from people who didn't know it existed, they assumed I was on the Alpha. It's still very under the radar on the store. They have a roadmap now with a lot of new features and systems. I didn't think we'd ever see the current build on console. We're up to a 860% player increase now on PS5, that's after they delisted the old PS4 version.
It was a bit rough releasing Oblivion with Expedition 33 but it goes to show how well built Clair Obscur is to stand beside such a massive release and still do so well. As much as I love indies I don't know that Twitter/X are the best places to advertise your game, they get the numbers but they also get the drama. There are a lot of other platforms like Twitch (to actually showcase your product) or even offer a demo on the various storefronts. Time was every game had a demo and you didn't need a subscription to play them.
Indies don't have a big marketing budget, but so many platforms are free, it sounds like a cop out. It's baffling how it's never been easier to promote a game but some companies don't even try, they expect they will release something and buyers with automatically snatch it up. You have to grind to advertise, complaining isn't the way. There are countless things they could have done to get the game out there.
I've seen the argument a few times on different forums and when I do go to check out their game I can hardly find a mention of it anywhere. It's not a good look for them when so many indie developers are almost brought to tears when they thank people for buying their game and making their dream possible.
@PlatinumMikey Yeah you'll need to link your PS5 to a Microsoft account, it prompts you the first time you start up the game. They made it official last month, I think Minecraft was the first one to do it. Which left me with 3 copies of the game and little idea as to which account works with which game. I'm sure my PC one is lost to the void too.
@Steeleye50 I read 'chicks' as 'cheeks'. I forgot that movie even existed, I watched it for Brandon Lee. It was right before Rapid Fire and The Crow. The Crow would make such a great game, a great city, great music, violence where violence is needed, supernatural powers.
Oblivion, it's pretty much my entire weekend and the first game I played in a while now where objectives went out the window and pure good old exploration took the drivers seat. Also mischief.
Stat-wise I'm at: 31hrs played (I've been sleeping) lvl14, 3.7k items borrowed, 53 items borrowed from pockets, 70 days passed, sneak to 60, security to 60, and I'm saving up 47k gold to buy a home and upgrade it. Once I have a place to put all of my stuff I'll focus more on questing. I've had to leave all of my gear outside in barrels then sneak into stores with nothing but my lockpicks. It sounds like something out of the movie Manhunter (original Silence of The Lambs) but it just means I can carry more.
I'm trying to arrange a Nyotaimori (naked sushi) on this man.
I'd really like to see how well games would do without Gamepass. I think it ruined the release of Atom Fall, too many people told me they played it for 20mins then deleted it. If they'd owned a physical copy and had invested cash into it then maybe they'd have given it more of a chance. I've played some really bad games in the previous generations of Playstation but because I'd actually bought them I forced myself to keep going, it seems like Gamepass will be the reason a lot of games get passed over (no pun intended)
I love to see Oblivion doing well, I've been playing nonstop but the Gamepass numbers sort of muddy up the figures for me, as opposed to someone walking into a store and picking up a copy. It's the whole 'playing' versus 'purchased'. When I'm browsing through Gamepass it feels like the system is cannibalizing itself, at least with day one games. And now we're getting so many Microsoft games on Playstation, we might not have even ended up with Oblivion on PS5. You could feel the anxiety in chat during that reveal, I still half expected them to either lock it down as an Xbox exclusive or a timed exclusive. It's very weird to see this side of Microsoft.
@GnomishViking This worked thanks, huge difference in Fps now. It started to a lag in the rain then I remembered to try it. Even the lighting seems more balanced now. It's incredible how much work went into just the sculpting of the terrain, I hardly noticed it in the original because of the limitations in draw distance. I've only seen one game come close to it and that was Hunter Call of The Wild. It makes Skyrim feel so flat, unless you're on an actual mountain that is.
Edit: That one setting has the Fps running buttery smooth now even in built up areas with lots of NPCs. I've been testing it with the weather too, I wish I'd tried this day one.
@Can-You-Believe-Sith That's the one. My first and only PS2 steelbook too, it came in the tin with a plastic sleeve and a bonus DVD. The other game where I was endlessly throwing people through windows must have been a Godfather game. They came after your businesses in that one too, and again you'd have to constantly fight the AI to get it back. I'd forgotten they even made those.
@GnomishViking Life is short you might as well enjoy it, my job don't know where I am half the time anyways. I played until 3am last night and it was one of the most freeing feelings I've had in months. Games are being released faster than I can play them. I don't know how people are zooming through so many. Lots of coffee maybe.
This is a real shame, there's so much that could have been done with the material. They are probably too busy suing Warner Bros/Tesla and Elon Musk for allegedly using AI-generated imagery that mimicked Blade Runner. They also had a case dismissed against Peugeot over a failed promotional partnership for Blade Runner. They do a lot to protect the IP but not enough to actually expand it. I don't know if it was made official but they are working with Amazon at the moment too for a Blade Runner 2099 series, they may have shifted their resources to that project.
@Can-You-Believe-Sith Is that the one where you had to keep racing around the map to protect your businesses before someone burned them down and took them? I seem to remember shooting people in the b-alls for extra XP too, then Sniper Elite did it in X-Ray.
@Orpheus79V That's part of it. Hollywood is trying to catch up with streaming but streaming doesn't have the politics (and favor system) that's allowed a lot of people (Execs to fail uphill) for example one of the biggest Hollywood producers started out as Barbra Streisand's hairdresser. Then he went on to produce Batman. It's not because of any creative input, it's who he knew. Most don't care about the script or the picture, but some exercise 'creative control' and once that happens it's not the director's vision anymore.
That system hasn't fully made it's way into streaming. The investors are newer and understand the current digital landscape, which includes video games. That's a big part of why you're seeing so many games being adapted to good shows, the people at the top have a higher level of awareness and will bring in technical advisors who understand the source material. I'm guilty of that favor system too, I guest-list friends for concerts and in return they guest-list me for advanced screenings. It's a small thing but it gets worse the higher up you go and it's rarely not a case of 'who you know'. I'm not saying people are being paid to give glowing reviews, just that sometimes it can be difference between a box seat and aisle seat.
It happens in music too, sometimes accidentally. Reviews too often depend on how you treat the reviewer. Some publications have long standing links to different media companies, they know who they are sending in and why. There was supposed to be a trail system where reviewers would be given access to a stream of the material, a lot like Netflix but locked down. The fear was that it could be hacked (hackers usually only get the soundtrack for a movie because it's separate to the reel) but this way they'd get the whole thing. You wouldn't believe how many unreleased songs from top artists have been stolen and no ones talking about it.
The entertainment industry hasn't been able to lock anything down. Until they can come up with a more modest review system there will always be people who are more inclined to look more favorably on the material because of the way they were treated. That's not happening with TV, people are getting codes, the comfort level is their own home. It makes for a more honest reviewing situation. It's also why you're seeing so many TV show leaks, hackers keep cracking that system too but the subscription model more than makes up for the loss. It doesn't with the box office because they don't make money off the individual unless that person actually visits a theater. But 'jealous?', it's not a jealousy, they just don't understand the format and most are unwilling to learn it. Some studios have been looking more into streaming their back catalogues, but not the box office. Too many people have a percentage of the theaters themselves, the same was true for video distribution. They are too stubborn and don't want to lose their percentage. They'll do a lot to protect that, favorable reviews are only part of it.
I also have to add that the guidelines for reviews has changed too. It's less about what the individual viewing the material thinks and more about what the material represents to the brand or entity that person is representing. It shouldn't be the case since they are sending someone who is supposed to have that subjective experience. Instead it's become very objective heavy, if it doesn't mesh well with their readers they'll automatically look for faults. Those faults then end up outweighing those redeeming features.
There are two media outlets listed above who've already done that, they'll do it for the next one too and the one after that. Even clickbait has become part of the reviewer mentality, some are told that 'reasons why this sucks!' etc generates more views/reads than 'I liked it'. It's a reflection on society too, sometimes we like to see something fall flat on it's face for the sake of watching it happen.
25 hours? I had to check mine, 13hrs. It only feels like 3hrs, and still no bugs except for one an hour ago where another NPC walked in-front of a quest giver while we were about to interact. They froze there staring dead eyed into the camera.
I'm loving even the basic improvements, the draw distance now means you can make some really long shots on bandits with a bow. Just a few more levels to go until I unlock the L2 (zoom feature) the only reason my experience might be smoother is traversal, I'm walking everywhere. It works pretty well, whatever I meet along the way is XP/loot and each Inn is a place to sell the pelts and meats.
A couple of store merchants not going to bed might be a bug too, I usually never have any trouble breaking into stores around 2am to relieve them of their goods. They were awake in the last two and immediately called the guards. The frame-rate doesn't bother me all that much, streaming the original on Premium felt prehistoric.
@djlard Oh yeah it came out in 1993. It has the same writer as most of the franchise, even the games like Robocop vs Terminator, the 2003 game. He's been involved the whole way up to the 2014 remake. Seth from The Last of Us (TV) plays Robocop in 3, Robert Burke. It's a lot more like the old 80's cartoon series than the first two movies, people weren't impressed but I like it. The 90's TV series isn't bad either, if you try not to take it all too seriously. The only really bad one is RoboVampire, it's a bootleg and has to be seen to be believed.
@djlard Robocop 3 has cyborgs with katanas. A Japanese Corp. ends up buying OCP once Delta City goes under then sends some cyborg ninjas to Detroit to secure their interests.
They call them the Otomo (in Japanese: オートモ Ōtomo)
Yep, I'm playing it right now. The original is still one of my favorite games of all time. I've heard some chatter about bugs, I've yet to run into any.
Such a strange time to be alive. I enjoyed it on Gamepass but now there is far too much Dlc, really all I want is Burnout. A remake or remaster or even a new one entirely, anything.
@DrVenture69 Oh thanks I just got back from dinner I'll give that a try. I still can't believe I was right about the PS5 logo, I kept blowing up the image then figuring out which platform must be which. There was one small icon left that turned out to be the PS5 logo but absolutely tiny. That's what I was working with.
@PlatinumMikey I thought you were kidding, then checked. I hate to say it but there needs to be some kind of age restricted filter for the store. I kind of want to buy it for science, but at the same time I don't think it should even be there.
Edit: Wow there's a Hentai one too with exactly the same store layout/assets from the same Dev, they even made a rip-off of the Card Shop Simulator.
I've been mostly playing Hogwart's Legacy. It's really enjoyable with a lot to see and do. The only thing I can't figure out is why the Devs put two doors into tiny shacks, it's a really odd design choice.
It still doesn't feel real. As bad as some remakes and remasters can be (because some are just about cashing in) this is one I'll make a big exception for. It was probably the first proper RPG I ever played and it left a long lasting impression that remains today. I'm sure there are still quests and other bits of content that I never saw back on PS3.
My only concern is that without the DLC it won't be the same, I wish they would just make an official announcement and say what's included. The leaked screenshots don't make it look like a remake from the ground up, if that's the case it should increase the likelihood of the DLCs being included. I haven't really thought about price. I could see them going £50 if it's just the game, and pushing £60 if it's the full package.
I've been hearing good things about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I'll check back in an hour or two. Curious to see what indies are shown too.
Edit: Some really interesting looking games, even if most of them never end up on console it's good to see Devs still have that much imagination. I liked that Hell management game a lot, I'm surprised no one thought of doing it already.
@Yukairi It's too easy to shop a live service game at an investor event. They throw around words like 'connectivity' and 'global community'. They make it sound like it's going to reinvent the wheel for social interaction, and that it's a game you need to pay attention to (followed by Fortnite player statistics) they don't mention Fortnite specifically but it's obvious who they mean.
The presentations feel like something straight out of Apple, they don't try to sell a game they try to sell an experience. The reality of that experience is blatantly obvious to an actual gamer but those people aren't buying games. It's all about being there on the ground level because they plan on 'expanding' the product to other platforms (they say devices) Being there on the ground level is the main hook, the earlier you are in the greater the return. It's the piece of the pie logic (for key investors) that comes up time and time again.
Not all investors are soulless monopolies, some do it because they have a genuine interest in digital entertainment but none of that matters when the game itself is unimaginative and fails to stand on it's own merits. Single Player franchises and IPs are a lot harder to hook now on an investor level. The mindset is that online/live service is a safe bet and that offline singular experiences are too outdated, that they appeal to less people and therefore less people means less returns on your original investment (through growth of the IP)
That's the landscape right now for a lot of major publishers, they rely too much on investor confidence and too often investor confidence means a rehashed model that works in theory but not always in practice. All they have to do is sell you on the theory, and that's generally all an investor wants. Theory has become a guarantee. I can't speak for the American investor experience, only for the European side of it.
Some of the top investment firms in the UK have inroads into firms like BlackRock (global investment firm for Ubisoft) and will point you right to them. They make it sound very lucrative (and commission free) even if the company just went through a major bailout. Long-term growth potential is usually all someone wants to hear. I've seen a lot of discount brokers touting the games industry as a safe bet, they aren't wrong. Much of the investment research they offer shows an increasing growth in the industry. Last year it was something like $180 billion in revenue across all platforms. Unfortunately it's a system that's propping up and allowing for the production of inferior products for the consumer.
@lazarus11 Did your bodies not despawn? I tried to stuff some into display cases in Fallout4, mainly the NPCs that annoyed me. In Oblivion/Skyrim I mainly focused on stealing cheese wheels. I call BreezeHome my CheeseHome. It's most likely what I'll focus on first in this remaster, especially if the PS5 can handle more cheese wheels without losing frames. It will be a lot of cheese.
@DrVenture69 It's part of the old PS3 Platinum Collection. Ubisoft published the European version, they handled the localization and translation too. It's a really beefy set, a reminder that we didn't always get a flimsy piece of paper with some basic controls. This one had a 50 page colour manual (with art) that explained everything really well. The only game I ever got rid of (twice) then bought it back again was the Alien Trilogy on PS1. I love the franchise but it made me physically sick to play. I haven't taken inventory of the games I've kept, I'd have to admit I have a problem.
@Deadlyblack I discovered Oblivion game of the year edition and Fallout3 game of the year on the same day. I played Oblivion first then Fallout3, definitely one of the best weeks I ever had in gaming.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for May 2025 Announced
@Bamila This actually isn't Ark 2. It's the same game (Ark: Survival Evolved) enhanced for PS5 with the DLC maps included (added over time) Ark 2 is still in development. There was no upgrade path from Ark Evolved PS4 to Ark Ascended PS5, which as you imagine didn't go down well. It had to be bought again. They even closed down the official servers. Now you have to play Ascended if you want to run c-op/clans.
Re: Days Gone's Review Scores Have Been Rising Over Time, with PS5 Version Coming Highly Recommended
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Forza Horizon 5 on PS5?
I played it on Gamepass (all my DLCs are over there) it feels very surreal but I'm not buying all of the extra content again. The base game would feel weird without it.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for May 2025 Announced
@DTfearTheBEARD But it's just a card game. How fun could that possibly be? - was me with Gwent in The Witcher 3, then Slay The Spire. There's something really addictive about card games.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for May 2025 Announced
Re: Not Everyone Loved Oblivion Remastered's Shadow Drop
Re: Oblivion Remastered Tops 4 Million Players in Just a Few Days
@Michael2008ish May your road lead you to warm sands. Unless you are an Argonian, then may they lead you to the basements of Castle Leyawiin.
Re: These 11+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out Next Week (28th-4th May)
@PlatinumMikey Yeah you'll need to link your PS5 to a Microsoft account, it prompts you the first time you start up the game. They made it official last month, I think Minecraft was the first one to do it. Which left me with 3 copies of the game and little idea as to which account works with which game. I'm sure my PC one is lost to the void too.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 578
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 578
Re: Oblivion Remastered Tops 4 Million Players in Just a Few Days
Re: Hands On: Oblivion Remastered Is Still Oblivion in All Its Glory, Crap Frame Rate Aside
Re: Watch Mafia: The Old Country Gameplay Trailer, PAX East Panel Early Next Month
Re: Hands On: Oblivion Remastered Is Still Oblivion in All Its Glory, Crap Frame Rate Aside
Re: Rumour: Until Dawn Dev's Unannounced Blade Runner PS6, PS5 Game Cancelled
This is a real shame, there's so much that could have been done with the material. They are probably too busy suing Warner Bros/Tesla and Elon Musk for allegedly using AI-generated imagery that mimicked Blade Runner. They also had a case dismissed against Peugeot over a failed promotional partnership for Blade Runner. They do a lot to protect the IP but not enough to actually expand it. I don't know if it was made official but they are working with Amazon at the moment too for a Blade Runner 2099 series, they may have shifted their resources to that project.
Re: Watch Mafia: The Old Country Gameplay Trailer, PAX East Panel Early Next Month
@Can-You-Believe-Sith Is that the one where you had to keep racing around the map to protect your businesses before someone burned them down and took them? I seem to remember shooting people in the b-alls for extra XP too, then Sniper Elite did it in X-Ray.
Re: Round Up: Until Dawn Movie Reviews Suggest PS5, PS4 Game Is Still Better
Re: Round Up: Until Dawn Movie Reviews Suggest PS5, PS4 Game Is Still Better
Re: Hands On: Oblivion Remastered Is Still Oblivion in All Its Glory, Crap Frame Rate Aside
Re: RoboCop: Rogue City Expansion Unfinished Business Guns Down a July Release Date on PS5
Re: RoboCop: Rogue City Expansion Unfinished Business Guns Down a July Release Date on PS5
@djlard Robocop 3 has cyborgs with katanas. A Japanese Corp. ends up buying OCP once Delta City goes under then sends some cyborg ninjas to Detroit to secure their interests.
They call them the Otomo (in Japanese: オートモ Ōtomo)
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Oblivion Remastered?
Yep, I'm playing it right now. The original is still one of my favorite games of all time. I've heard some chatter about bugs, I've yet to run into any.
Re: Forza Horizon 5 (PS5) - Xbox Had the Best Open World Racer All This Time
Such a strange time to be alive. I enjoyed it on Gamepass but now there is far too much Dlc, really all I want is Burnout. A remake or remaster or even a new one entirely, anything.
Re: Ghost of Yotei Gets PS5 Release Date, Trailer, Pre-Order Details
That's a beautiful collectors edition, but these digital only formats are getting a little out of hand. No pun intended.
Re: Oblivion Remastered Out Now on PS5, Price and Download Size Revealed
@DrVenture69 Oh thanks I just got back from dinner I'll give that a try. I still can't believe I was right about the PS5 logo, I kept blowing up the image then figuring out which platform must be which. There was one small icon left that turned out to be the PS5 logo but absolutely tiny. That's what I was working with.
Re: Oblivion Remastered Out Now on PS5, Price Revealed
I don't have the words for how good it looked. Thanks PushSquare for hosting chat it made the reveal even more memorable 🧀
Re: Official Oblivion Remastered Announcement Coming Tomorrow
@PlatinumMikey Can't wait to fill my home with cheese wheels 🧀
Re: Official Oblivion Remastered Announcement Coming Tomorrow
How hyped am I? yes.
Re: These 14+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out Next Week (21st-27th April)
@PlatinumMikey I thought you were kidding, then checked. I hate to say it but there needs to be some kind of age restricted filter for the store. I kind of want to buy it for science, but at the same time I don't think it should even be there.
Edit: Wow there's a Hentai one too with exactly the same store layout/assets from the same Dev, they even made a rip-off of the Card Shop Simulator.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 577
I've been mostly playing Hogwart's Legacy. It's really enjoyable with a lot to see and do. The only thing I can't figure out is why the Devs put two doors into tiny shacks, it's a really odd design choice.
Re: Oblivion Remastered: Everything We Know Ahead of Its Rumoured Release Next Week
Re: Galaxies Is Yet Another Gaming Showcase, Featuring 50+ Announcements and Updates
Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Still Chasing Live Service with New Battle Royale Now in Development
Re: Bloober Team's Cronos: The New Dawn Has Dead Space Vibes in Promising New Gameplay
It looks like Dead Space and Chernobylite had a baby. The merging mechanic sounds great too.
Re: Oblivion PS5 Remaster Expected to Have Overhauled Gameplay, Based on Older Leaks
Re: Oblivion PS5 Remaster Is Real as New Screenshots Leak
@DrVenture69 It's part of the old PS3 Platinum Collection. Ubisoft published the European version, they handled the localization and translation too. It's a really beefy set, a reminder that we didn't always get a flimsy piece of paper with some basic controls. This one had a 50 page colour manual (with art) that explained everything really well. The only game I ever got rid of (twice) then bought it back again was the Alien Trilogy on PS1. I love the franchise but it made me physically sick to play. I haven't taken inventory of the games I've kept, I'd have to admit I have a problem.
Re: 'You'll See the Difference,' Says Bend Studio of Days Gone PS5's Improvements
I wonder how many potential sales they'll miss out on by not allowing the Plus+ version to be upgraded.
Re: Bring Home a Hyper-Realistic Replica of Stellar Blade's Eve Soon
@Nalim I laughed too hard at this.
Re: Oblivion PS5 Remaster Is Real as New Screenshots Leak
@Deadlyblack I discovered Oblivion game of the year edition and Fallout3 game of the year on the same day. I played Oblivion first then Fallout3, definitely one of the best weeks I ever had in gaming.
